i remembered lang. during my first week kasi i was asked to do calorie counting muna, no insulin yet. my endo said 1700 calories per day. di pwedeng super kulang like 1500. i had to be as close to 1700 as possible.
i had na all my 3 meals plus 3 snacks including my bedtime snack, i was still way below. so i ate 5 teaspoonfuls of ice cream as an added bedtime snack to meet the 1700 calorie count. sympre the next morning super high blood sugar reading. haha. i think 180+ din.
i used to eat half a cup of rice lang for lunch and dinner but white rice. and my breakfast was usually pandesal from the neighborhood bakery so panay hangin yan and di uso and wheat. hehe.
then my OB pala didnt prescribe mga anmum and the like, regular full cream milk was ok, i took cowhead na dark blue. my endo asked me to ask my OB if i could take calcium supplements instead, like caltrate, so that the glass of milk daily wont eat up my calorie requirement kasi di naman nakakabusog ang 1 glass of milk daw.
and nakakababa nga din if you eat green, leafy veggies but i had to regulate those kasi high in iron yan and i already had very high iron levels.
