The fish menu (with white sauce) is kind of ordinary. And it was served quite cold already!
-the brocolli & cheese soup tastes nilagang Baka na 'pinalapot' sorry for description but that's just me.

They name their menus really well though so it really sounds appetizing.

Really, sis? I asked to make sure that their fish is cooked on the spot. Yes daw. Was that not the case for you?

i think KbyC's food has a mix of hits and misses. :)

During our first food tasting not all of their dishes we really liked. Kaya we are having a 2nd and final food tasting pa to check which items yung masarap talaga.

I have had my fair share din kasi of masasarap na dishes since my dad is a foodie so parang exposed ako personally sa dishes na medyo off.

I looove to eat kaya OC din ako as food na iserve sa wedding. we do not like ordinary dishes, hindi lang ordinary sounding pero kakaiba talaga.

KbyC's soup which were served to us were not that impressive, same goes for the pasta dish pero some items naman are really masarap.

Minsan kasi, if the program is too long kahit na heated yung catering pans, it could only do so much kaya tendency, nagiging cold na yung dishes. :( :(

Im not really sure if Twas cooked on the spot, it's a tagaytay wedding so Baka mabilis lumamig LOL

^ yes sis Tama ka it's a hiss or miss thing with KByC. Too bad for me 2x ng miss LOL!

I really quite have high standard on foods, all of us in the family are food gourmand so when we say masarap or not, almost always everyone agrees! :) we serve good foods at home and we always compare it when we go out, and sadly mas marasap pa rin ang house foods namin LOL. So I think I'm gonna have a hard time choosing for caterer which will give us all nods given my family's standards :)

^another option could be Bizu :)
more often than not, their items are of quality and they serve gourmet food as well.
it actually really dpends on what you and your fiance want to have since you won't be having the time to eat din naman. hehe

Oh no! Iyan pa naman ang ayaw ko, ang hit or miss! :( Will be scheduling our food tasting na this week. E paano kung hit sa FT tapos pagdating sa actual wedding, miss sila?  :'( Silently, I'm praying na mag-miss na lang sila sa FT namin so I can convince my groom to get Passion Cooks na lang...

2 weddings of KByC na na-attend ko but I'm not really impressed. :( it is not bad either, but I might have high expectations. The set up is unquestionably good!

Agreed.  I attended a cousin's wedding two weeks ago, and wasn't really impressed.  The fish (grilled snapper with mango salsa) was served cold (maybe because of the salsa?) and was kinda bland. :( Medyo nadisappoint lang ako na walang lasa yung snapper. I was actually looking forward to this one, because I read rave reviews about it. Yung eclair was ok lang din. Salad was bland din.  Generally ok naman yung food;  it's just that I was expecting more kasi nga K by Cunanan sila.

But yeah, the set-up was cute. :)

sis toodee do you have wedding package ng Bizu? After reading yung comment about food of KbyC, i think i'm having second thoughts na kunin sila.. :'(, nagpa-pencil book na kami sa KbyC and we're planning to have the downpayment during the bridal expo ng Themes N Motifs.

We had our initial food tasting last month and I can say na ok ang food nila. What i'm worried about now is baka on the day of our wedding maging ganun yung outcome since Tagaytay wedding din kami. I also like Passion Cooks kaso hindi sila accredited ng wedding reception namin. :'(

hi sis, kbyC is my caterer and i think it boils down to your food choices. heheh actually wala ako on hand but I can ask a friend who got both bizu and another caterer for her wedding. (bongga dba 2 caterers!)

Clarify ko lang ah, yung hit or miss for IMO, yung ibang dishes nila HIT yung iba naman miss. Ganon naman ata talaga with most caterers eh, not everything on their package would be pleasing to all clients. Could be masarap for us, but for others, hindi. Subject to one's preference.

I am sticking to my caterer kasi mas madami yung HIT kaysa sa miss and kaya nga may food tasting to give you enough options to taste everything on their menu before choosing your final list. :)

We are having 3 food tasting sessions with them kaya we have plenty of time to choose.

^I agree with sis todee. Siguro you just have to set their expectations on what you want sa wedding mo.

:) H2b and I will be attending our FT with them tomorrow. I'm also researching on the different menus na hit kay KbyC altough another choice we have for caterer is Centertable. NakapagFT na kami sa kanila  and nagustuhan ni h2b ang food so dapat maconvince ko si h2b sa KbyC kasi bet ko talaga styling nila. :)

^ sige sis toodee if it's ok with you pahingi din ako copy ng package ng Bizu, I have a friend who's getting married rin next year and option nila yung Bizu as their caterer. I would like to check din kung ano ano mga included sa package nila. :)

[textspeak!]-ano pala sis yung mga food choices mo sa KByC? We had one FT pa lang with them, baka may masuggest ka na ok na dish nila aside from the ones na pine-prepare nila during initial FT. PM me na lang kung masyado mahaba yung list mo..hehe.. thank you sis!

@andee_gurl: Tomorrow na ang FT mo? Balitaan mo kami ha. :) I've scheduled our FT with them this Wednesday naman. In fairness to Ms. Nina, I received her email today, I requested for an FT with them and confirmed din agad.  :)Our problem now is how to get there since we're from the south.

hi andee_gurl and KitRein listed below yung for us, masarap: =)

- Hoisin chicken wrap
- Mini Thai fish cake
- Honey nut prawns
- Barbecue chicken salad - we liked the taste, the presentation not so much kasi nasa martini glass; which IMO is super difficult to eat.
- Panna cotta with kiwi, mango or strawberry - super sarap.

ito lang [textspeak!] natandaan kong masarap kasi yan tlaga yung ni-note namin.

we are having another FT kasi i want to try the other options that sounds masarap sa menu. Magkasunod na days yung FT namin so I hope we can decide na din.

heheh we have 4 menu options kasi kaya i do not know who to go about narrowing it down to 2 hahah :)

^^Sige sis, balitaan kita. :) I'm positive mas magugustuhan ni H2b ang food. Para sila na piliin namin. hehe. So far kasi sold na sya sa Centertable. Masarap din naman IMO pero kasi with KbyC, parang you're hitting 2 birds with one stone because of their styling. :)

^Thanks sis todee! :)

sis Baby Madeline, commute ba kayo or you'll go there by car? I'm from South rin, we went there for our initial FT ng commute, hindi ko rin kasi kabisado yung area na yun kaya nagcommute na lang kami..

@KitRein: Hi sis! We are planning to go there by car sana but we are quite hesitant because we are not familiar with QC area. Can you share how you went there or nag-taxi kayo? Thanks so much sis! :)

@andee_gurl: Thank you sis! I have to agree with you na our chosen caterer should not only be excellent in food but also with styling. Good luck sa FT tom! :) KbyC will be our first FT pero nagrequest na rin ako ng schedule from Juan Carlo and Center Table.  :)

@toodee: Sis, I also took note of your list ha. Thanks for sharing! :)

Sis! KbyC house is not commute friendly at all! :D

You have to pass through commonwealth, tandang sora & Capitol hills drive. Bring a car if I may so! Or Kung wala, just make kontrata a taxi. Because Ayala heights is strict village parang Ayala Alabang of QC you would have to walk outside the hill-like place to get back to the city! :D

^Ganun ba sis? Thanks for the heads-up! Though I kind of thought nga din that their place isn't accessible from the main road/public transpo. H2B just started to drive recently kasi and around our area lang ang kabisado niya kaya I'm quite scared that we explore QC agad. Anyway, sana magawan namin ng paraan. Expensive din pag mangontrata ng taxi e. Hanap daw siya ng driver. ;D Thanks again! :)
