Cldy_1981: yes, since cs is considered as surgery kaya mahal talaga. There's a need for anesthesia. Whereas if normal ka, and ayaw mo ng epidural, no more anes pf to pay for.

Wow sis! I'm a bit shocked with the price, ganon na ba talaga kamahal pag Ceasarian Delivery? huhuhu. Ang mahal naman. Sorry I can't get over the shock. Exag. Oh noes.

yup sis, its really expensive in MMC. We were expecting 150k lang for everything na sana. Overall experience was ok naman, so its worth it and no regrets. And my tahi is hardly noticeable. Parang hindi ako na-CS.

Anjfree: from what i know, if you get the maternity package from mmc, room included is only semi private room. If you will opt to upgrade to a privte room, di na package yun. Normal rate na. Not all OBs pwede for the maternity package. Agreement kase yun with mmc na smaller pf.

sis justme: what's the difference of a semi-private and small private room? Pasensya, thank God kasi that i've never been hospitalized before so not familiar with the types of rooms, ngayon lang nga ako nagtatanong tanong since manganganak na ako. And na-sho-shock nga ako sa price, but i guess for as long as mas safe naman yung procedure eh bakit ko naman kami titipirin ng baby ko.

Smaller than small private room, and sharing kayo sa cr. i cant remember if may tv. You can check out the rooms para you'll see the difference  :)

tip lang, get the small private na HINDI newly renovated, its cheaper by about a thousand yata. When I was admitted kase, the only room available is the newly renovated small private. According to my husband, not much difference naman daw sa layout, masmalaki pa daw yata yung old small private room.

Hi Sis cldy_1981,

Yes kasama na PF niya. Pero the 57k semi private also includes PF of the OB.

Sis sorry if its a stupid question but bakit may difference yung quote ng OB mo sa quote mismo ng MMC sa standard package of the rooms? Tama ba?

hi sisses, i just moved to makati.  gusto ko sana mag change ng OB kasi right now im still going to my OB in madocs and she quoted 100k for a CS package and 75k for NSD. meron ba na OB sa MMC na roughly the same rate lang net of philhealth na? can you recommend an OB?

Sis my ob is good and mabait, kaya lang her quote for me is NSD is around 100k for private and 125-150k for CS also private... Her name is Dra. Socorro Caedo Lim in case you want to try her padin. She took care of me when I was delivering.

Hi! This thread is so useful, especially for me. Hindi pa kasi ako makadecide kung st. Lukes o makati med manganganak. My ob is dr. Martin Manahan.

Sis i used the birthing room of mmc, in fairness maganda sua and todo asikaso ka talaga. You get a nurse specificallyto take care of you suring labor. If im not mistaken its about 3500 for the 1st 3hrs then 900+ ata every hour after... You can inquire naman sa Delivery Room area for the rates & you can look at the rooms pag sunday if walang gumagamit :)

Yuo can have 2 companions at a time P575 ata per cmpanion then kahit ilanng tai na pumasok after wala ng bayad basta by two's lang. My take is if you can spare more budget for the birthing room, gofor it iba rin kasi yung may kasama ka while in labor... Kasi sa labor room youre on your own up until manganganak ka na talaga. Eh ako i was in labor for 12hrs, imagine mo yun.

Medyo mahal nagastos namin eh, kaya baka di accurate kasi i was nsd but had to extend from 2-3das to 7 days kasi my baby was put on antibiotics coz he swallowed some amniotic fluid na with meconium so truth be told for nsd scandalous yung binayaran namin but the birthing room experience i would recommend.

Thank God for this thread! I'm subscribing to this.

I'm on my 3rd month, and my OB's Dra. Madelene Ang-De Joya. I haven't asked her pa how much I should prepare for my delivery, but thankfully, with your inputs, I am getting a rough idea na.

And holy smokes!!! Ang mahal pala sa MMC! Hahaha... Parang gusto ko na lang tuloy sa CGH manganak, tutal affiliated ang doctor ko dun for deliveries, kaso, sa Taguig ako nakatira, so best choice na sana ang MMC for me.

when did you give birth? Mura bill mo for CS if 100k lang and private room. Mine reached 165K, also private room with no complications naman.

Gave birth sa MMC last June 16, 2012.

Over-all 👍👍two thumbs up para sa makati med.

Anyway, kung meron man may gusto makuha name ni ob and clinic sched just pm me.

Hello mommyniuja, you're with Doc Martin Manahan bah? I found out I'm pregnant again and this time I'll be giving birth here sana in MMC. He's ok with package pala? Good to know! Ang mahal pag hindi nkapackage! :) TIA

thanks for the info mga sis. ang mahal pala manganak sa MMC. I'm based in Makati and MMC is just a few minutes away from home so it's the most convenient for me. Kaso the price pala goes above 100k din for normal and even reaches 200k for CS... I'm thinking how much kaya sa St. Lukes Global? Would you have idea kasi kung not so big difference parang not worth it yata mag MMC. My OB is Dra. Rebecca Singson-Zahar. She has clinics in both St. Lukes Global, MMC and Asian. Too far naman kasi ang Asian sakin although I heard good things about it and some not so good things about MMC. My friend is suggesting Medical City and heard good things about it too and parang cheaper ata dun, although nalalayuan ako sa Ortigas kasi I'm from Makati talaga. I haven't asked my OB yet for quotation on delivery. My dilemma is St. Lukes Global or MMC. Please advise...
