Hi sisses, pa-share naman po any dip or sauce recipes niyo... Para I have a variety of dips to offer my kids... anything from sauce for squidballs, garlic dips, cheese dips, salad dressings, etc... Thanks!  :)

for dip:

i use 1:1 ratio of mayo garlic and yoghurt. then add some salt and pepper to taste. this is the basic ingredient.

you can alter it a bit if you have spare dill or herbs.. or chili. depending on your tastebud's delight.  ;)

gusto ko talaga magawa yung fishball sauce tulad nung sa fishball vendors :P Haha... saw this recipe online on how to make it:

FISHBALL SAUCE

Ingredients:
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup vinegar
1/3 tbsp. sugar
1 cup water
1 slice siling labuyo
1 tbsp. cornstarch dissolved in
1-2 tbsp. water

Procedure:
1. Mix the sauce sauce, vinegar, sugar, water and siling labuyo in a saucepan.
2. Let it boil then add cornstarch.
3. Cook over medium heat until slightly thick.
There are four basic food groups: milk chocolate, dark chocolate, white chocolate & chocolate truffles. ♥

^ my aunt does that garlic dip pero I don't use it kasi ayoko mayonnaise :P what she does lang is just mix mayonnaise, minced garlic and lemon juice. :)

ako mayo and grated garlic lang.  Minsan hinahalo ko rin sa cheeze whiz masarap siya huwag lang over ang garlic dahil masakit sa dila.

Hollandaise Sauce

Ingredients
3 egg yolks
1/2 lemon, juiced
1 teaspoon cold water
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 cup butter

Directions
1.In a small bowl, whisk together egg yolks, lemon juice, cold water, salt and pepper. Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat. Gradually whisk yolk mixture into butter. Continue whisking over low heat for 8 minutes, or until sauce is thickened. Serve immediately.

My fave dip is : Sour cream mix with Sweet Chilli Sauce. Sarap to for french fries or wedges. :)

for a healthier version of the garlic-mayo or even tartar sauce/dip, just use sour cream instead of mayonnaise. mix the grated or chopped garlic with the sour cream (pwede nga din garlic salt pag pressed for time); i also add spring onions or chives para mas malasa. add salt and pepper to taste, then leave in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to allow the flavors to blend nicely. :)

one of the healthiest dips is honey-mustard, kasi mustard is very low in calories then honey is a better alternative than processed sugar ;)

^i love this dip rin but instead of garlic salt i use garlic powder less sodium kung mag add ka pa ng salt after baka mag over ang alat. minsan kasi super alat na ng garlic salt especially if you love garlic. tzatziki naman uses yoghurt  good for grilled meats and gyros.


the fishball recipe i used to make was equal parts ng sugar and suka cornstarch for consistency and separately guisa garlic and onions and mix all together when the sauce is done. an alternative for the   color would be orange soda in place of soy sauce.

^yup, that's why the salt and pepper is to taste lang - and better check for saltiness talaga first lalo na if you're using garlic salt. if chopped garlic is used, then depends on the preference if kelangan pa ng salt and pepper or not, to bring the flavors together :)  i love tzatziki too, creamy but very light and refreshing!

may suggestion kayo ng masarap na sour cream dip for nachos and chips? Nag google ako, iba iba. I don't know kung ano dun masarap..

May nabibili bang ready made garlic aioli sauce. I tried to make one based sa turo ng friend ko (I did search sa internet too) . It taste okay naman pero it's not as white as what the mediterranean resto are serving. I mixed yoghurt and sour cream plus fresh chopped garlic. The sour cream gave the yellowish color,pero if yoghurt lang hindi naman makuah ang lasa. I really love it for moussaka and other dishes.

super agree yung refreshing nga sya.

^yung yoghurt ipa drip mo or strain using cheese cloth ng 30mins to an hour  try a different brand of sour cream if so add lemon juice to add tart.  pero aioli di ba lmayo or ight mayo gamit nun or fresh eggs and garlic. check sa mga healthy food groceries baka may aioli mayo available or yung mga home made.

^^sour cream mix with a little mayo, fresh garlic or garlic powder. others add melted butter and lemon see if that works for you kung magugustuhan mo lasa wag masyado madami mayo minsan nakakaoverpower kasi the taste you still want the flavor of the sour cream siempre. masarap din ang roasted corn salsa with chips and guacamole pang dagdag sa options.
