^ sorry heaven_scent102, i didn't see this right away di ako nakapag comment. i hope you had fun in Davao.

I know yung legaspi suites is in downtown, madaming salon dyan, i hope you found one. may restaurant sa baba nyan, Kusina Selera and they serve really good food. And cheap lang din. Meron din tambayan dyan, you can have coffee or beer na super lamig (sorry don't know how you call it kasi di ako umiinom hehe). Parang bitin yung schedule nyo na Eden after lunch, maganda sana whole day dun.  :)

i'll be going back to Davao next month for business. 4th time ko na pala 'to if ever and it will be my 2nd time going solo. this time i plan to extend my trip ng weekend para may konting bakasyon.  almost 1 and half day lang lalabas yung vacation ko.  ano kayang pwedeng gawin?  gusto kong mag Samal uli pero di ko sure kung saan dun, kung sa Babak District lang ba o sa may Talicud or Kaputian District.  i haven't been to Kaputian. san pwede mag stay dun?

can you also recommend must visit restaurants? gusto ko rin uli mag Jack's Ridge, kaso ako lang mag isa...

sta ana wharf din sis. 45 min to 1 hr yung lantsa. yung sa babak yata sa sasa wharf di ba? that's mga 15 minutes lang yata na boat ride. kaya lang if you want to explore talikud island, mahal ang boat kung manggagaling sa babak. better to stay in kaputian

layo din pala. iniisip ko pa kasi kung overnight ako sa samal or day tour lang. but im more leaning sa overnight kasi gusto kong mag beach bum.

meron bang mga resort sa samal na may night life? not naman the Boracay type basta yung meron lang na bar or whatever na open pa at night.

naku sis, yung mga resorts naman usually may bars yun. kaso yun nga hindi like boracay na you can easily hop from one to the other. like sa kaputian, sa red parrot, dun ka lang mismo pede uminom or chillout, may mga drinks at food nman sila

tinapay just like what matetreyes said, di kagaya ng Boracay dun. :)

hi girls.. i've been backreading for quite sometime na 'coz we are going to Davao this May 17-22.. My Dad is now working kasi in Marco Polo Davao and so we are planning for a visit...

Eto yung proposed IT ko:
17 - Arrival around 8 am. City tour nah sana (Eden, Malagos, Croc Farm, Zipline etc...) I've been backreading pero di ko pa din nabubuo yung pinaka IT.. Since we are 6 pax I'm planning to hire a van nalang gaya nung ginawa namin sa Bohol & Palawan.. Any recommendation?

18 - Water rafting. Problem ko kasi I'm travelling with my 1yr & 8 mons son so iniisip ko baka isa samin di makapag rafting kasi syempre kailangan magbantay.. If ever pwede ba sya isama kahit nah sa di sila magrafting? If not I'm thinking kasi na i-pa baby sitter nalang muna sa marco polo

19 - We want to do Island hopping around Talicud Island (angel cove, coral garden etc..). May maliit ba nah boat na pwede marent (again like in Bohol and Palawan) kasi 6 pax lang naman kami.. Masyadong pricey yung medyong malaking boat.. Or another option is parang intrested kami nah mag intro diving.. My question now papayagan ba isama yung baby ko ulit? Kasi nung nagBali kami (he was 8 months then) pwede hehe..And sobrang fascinated kasi siya sa mga fish kaya gusto ko sana siya isama sa islang hopping..
      - Im thingking of staying in Samal Island for overnight since nandun na din kami.. If not naman balik kami sa Davao

20 - Planning to do tour in Samal Island (hagimit falls & maxima aqua slide). My question now meron din ba van na pwede irent sa Samal?

21 - Free and easy nalang kami sa davao siguro buy ng pasalubong and food trips.. hehe

Do you think my proposed IT is fine? Is it really worth to go?
Napahaba pasenxa nah.. Pero any reply will be highly appreciated!  :)

reineedace, i would suggest the following:

May 17 - if you're doing city tour, don't include malagos or eden because you need to spend about 4-5 hours there. and you might want to have lunch in Eden, too. For Malagos, you can go to Philippine Eagle and in Malagos Garden Resort. they are two different places but just a few minutes of travel. I guess dapat pili ka lang kung Eden, then go there then you can come down to Crocodile farm late in the afternoon.

May 18 - i suggest don't bring your child.

May 19 - try contacting http://www.windandwavedavao.com/. it's up to you if you want to bring your son. i have to tell you that the boat for intro diving is not spacious, there may be a lot of people, and might not be even that clean  :-\

May 20 - Yes, you can contact several van operators offering tours in Samal.

May 21 - try any buffet in the city. may crabs all you can din.

* I am from Davao but haven't been to Pearl Farm, kahit 5 minutes away from our house lang yung sakayan ng ferry papunta dun  ;D But if you prefer great service and ambiance, go for PF. You can do day trip and have the seafood lunch buffet that they offer. Not sure how much it costs now, though.

hi kookie420..

thanks for the reply!

ah ok so i guess we'll settle down with eden on the first day then.. di pa kasi ako familiar sa mga distance ng tourist spots sa davao eh kaya nga di ko mabuo2x yung IT for the first day.. so pwede na ba yung eden, malagos and phil eagle? kasi for my son lang talaga since he is fascinated nah sa mga animals  ;D ciguro last day nalang yung ikot2x sa city since free and easy nalang kami nun..

;) by the way thanks for the suggestions!

that's the price you have to pay if you're traveling with kids ;) i myself would have to manage my expectations when we travel because we bring our daughter every time.

read up here: http://edennaturepark.com.ph/main/ about eden. http://malagos.com/ about malagos garden and http://www.philippineeagle.org/index?pageval=thepecenter about the Philippine Eagle Center. Because for me, if you combine all three in a day, you're going to be very busy and might not enjoy it.

sis matetreyes and kookie420: thanks sa reply. i'm not really after the Boracay type party. gusto ko lang e may magawa pa sa gabi, hindi yung 6pm pa lang e tulog na ko, hehe.  unfortunately wala nang available dates sa Chemas by the Sea and Paradise Island on my preferred date.  I'll try sa Kaputian Island.
