I want this because it cheap & mobile.. uso eto sa Europe. hopefully our government gets into this for low-cost housing for the ordinary JUAN. =)

For a few years now, I've been considering having some built as resting spaces for a few remote properties. You can choose to buy ready made houses from places like those mentioned above or you can buy yourself a used container and have it customized. Nagmahal na nga ngayon ang used container vans compared to 5 years ago since nauuso na ang container houses. hayst.

ok lang ba tumira sa container vans? i mean paano ang init?? saka security? ang tingin ko kase is para kang nakatira sa loob nang lata =) pero nakikita ko nga ito sa europe and some parts sa states adn japan

ok yan! i think for a family with 1, 2 kids, or for a couple nearing retirement on limited budget or overblown budget even, if you bought cheap land somewhere in the countryside, cheap electricity
/accessorize solar panels even potable water, put up insulation panels,wirings etc and ac(solar)
using two 40' container vans at 29sqm, i guess when the time comes ,water fills up the earth, lulutang yan!!(joke)

Hindi din mura magpagawa ng container van homes ha. Plus also take into account yung truck na magdedeliver nun sa place mo.

Mainit ang van lalu na if hindi aircon at pag hindi nalagyan ng insulation

so need mo lage naka-aircon? mas mura daw kase siya with regards sa cost nang normal na pagpapatayo nang house. kung semento kase lahat house ang mahal, kapag kahoy naman - anay at sunog. kapag prefab walang anay. may article akong nakita sa prefab house http://www-cgi.cnn.com/ASIANOW/asiaweek/96/0726/biz3.html pero still doesn't say kung mainit ba? =)

Magkaiba po yung prefab at container van.prefab is gawa po sa cement, so hindi sya mainit at di din sya mura.kinagandahan nito mabilis ang construction at may warranty, on the other hand, di pwede basta basta magtibag ng wall.
Container van gawa sa steel.so mainit talaga po.proper ventilation ang kailangan para di mainit kahit di naka aircon. Meron naman ng inverter aircons so mura pa din sa kuryente.

^ah ok. so better ang prefab homes over container van homes. cement gawa ang prefab? i thought kailangan mo lang nang cement for the foundation and then iba na ang material for the house (Walls, etc... )..
usually kung pagagawa ka ba nang 40sqm house 2floors - prefab versus traditional construction ( hindi kahoy na bahay ha kundi semento din) alin lalabas na mas mura? saka mas mabilis daw ang tapos nang prefab?
ang prefab is like parang lego right na pagkakabitin nila mga parts? paano kaya ang maintenance saka paano kapag gusto mo magrenovate - bigger space, dagdag floor, etc.... ?
