am a cheapskate... Though i luv nail polish i dont spend hundred of bucks to buy small bottle of NP. Pinoy p din! Caronia,bobbie,chic,caress,klik,24k,sassy,etc... I just pick d color that best suits my skin tone.after all expensive or not it will chip in time. But i would stil love to have foreign brand syempre. If i have bucks

current fave nail polish: O.P.I. pink flamingo, my private jet, and boggato blackberry. i usually top boggato blackberry with O.P.I. crown me already, it soooo prettyyyy!!

^^Dati, I used to wear black and red nail polish pero now that I work in a fashion UNconscious corporate environment, mas gusto ko na less attention grabbing. Hehe. Kaya stick to neutrals and pales nalang. Mas comfortable lang ako, that's all. Kaya Essie lang usually nail polish ko because they have an amazing selection for pales until I realized maganda pala yung light grays...

I saw sa internet there's an Elf gray nail polish pero it never got here. The last time I asked the Elf SA pinapaubos nalang daw mga NP nila kasi discontinued na.

I saw sa Bayo meron din ng mga NP na taupe pero hesitant ako sa color, it's more brown than I would like.

ako naman sa call center work kaya ok lang ang bright colors.and i dont wear make up kaya nail polish na ang pinaka make up ko hehe...ang Misa din sis dami neutral/office-appropriate colors.magaganda.

oo nga nakita ko rin yung sa Bayo,mura lang kaso di appealing eh.even the hehe...but i still wanna try them.will post pictures pag nakabili na ako.

yung sa elf naman nothing special colors nila saka hindi vibrant

talaga sis? balak ko pa naman.. ang ganda kasi nila tingnan.. siguro ganon talaga kapag sa tabi tabi natin nabili..

^ I disagree to that. Like all items, I think depende rin sa brand and sa pagkaka-apply ang quality. I've used a cracking nail polish na cheap lang pero ang tagal bago matanggal. And also, depende rin naman sa color combinations and shades mo kung maganda ba siya or pangit sa paningin mo

saan ka nakabili sis? saka ano ba magandang combination???

anyway, bakit ganon ang bilis mag chip ng nails ko, mga ilang oras pa lang after ko ilagay wala na.. any tips??

^ sis devilish_einjel Sa isetann recto ko nabili yun e kasi napadaan lang kami ng friend ko and ang mura, less than 30 pesos if I remember it correctly. OMG yung brand name. For me, ang ganda ng appeal ng turquoise or aquamarine, hot pink then black na cracking polish. Gusto ko nga bumalik dun kasi titingin ako ng silver color naman tapos black yung nail polish sa ilalim hehe.

Sis, nagta-top coat ka ba? One thing I always do after waiting the top coat to dry is binabasa ko ng cold water, better if babad for 2 minutes.

nabasa ko nga na even better kapag may yelo pa yung water kaso over na para sa akin hahaha. pag nagmamadali ako, once na sure akong tuyo na yung last coat, itatapat ko lang sa running water na malamig tapos medyo haplos yung nails. feeling ko kasi pag hindi ko ginawa yun, parang hindi nasesettle yung nail polish components (walang scientific basis to ha, feeling ko lang haha)

Merong matte nail polish ang Orly brand, and I think matte top coat din Orly, but wala na when I checked the Watson's at SM Makati where I get my Orly stuff.

Re: Crackle nail polist

I've tried the one from the Face Shop. Okay naman. You just really need to put a clear top coat over it to really make the colors more noticeable and for it to last longer.

And to answer the question pala: my favorite brand is Orly! Though I also like the nail polish from the Face Shop and sometimes Skinfood, too. Want to try China Glaze or Essie some time. Haha.

I have Caress Diamond Gay pero super dark sakin compared to the swatches online... I think I will have to buy another bottle. Baka something went wrong with my first bottle. The swatches I see online yun pa naman ang gustong gusto ko.

^ang alam ko talaga sa Caress na yan that it's slightly darkish yung pagka-gray nya pero medyo mas lighter naman sya than San San's Cloudy Gray. Ang hirap mag rely sa mga pics sis lalo galing sa net, masyadong magaganda na ang mga camera ngayon there are times na mas lighter and brighter ang outcome ng colors

. Just recently bought L.A. Colors NP in Jungle Fever, sa net dark teal sya pag lagay ko sa nails ko more on green na sya pero when I go out in the sun dun lang lumalabas yung slight na pagka-teal nya, kainis... hahaha

Regarding buying polishes, personally I would prefer buying affordable/local nail polishes kase I'm into stamping and nail art so lagi ako nag papalit ng nail polish. Sometimes sa isang week 2-3 times ako mag change ng nail polish so hindi practical for me to buy expensive ones kase baka manghinayang ako tanggalin...

Favorite NPs ko Bobbie, Chic, Nature Republic, Klik, OMG, Jacorste, La Belle, WnW, San San, Bichun etc. Price range ng polishes ko P10 - P100 lang

, maybe someday I might try the expensive ones like China Glaze, Orly and Zoya kase dami ko nakikita na magagandang shades ^_^

By the way if you have trouble with chipping use a base coat/nail hardener before your regular nail polish then top coat afterwards tapos top coat ulit after a few days if you really want your polish to stay. Base coat is also good to prevent staining on your nails ^_^
