sis, ang daisy may available na seeds sa mga ace hardware, handyman o kaya kahit sa groery punta ka lang sa lawn and garden section, ang sunflower, pwede itanim yung mga nabibili na para sa feeds ng mga ibon, ang rose naman ang alam ko thru cuttings pwede, Mas rewarding pag nanggaling sa seeds yung mga tanim mo, pero kailangan ng patience, mga four months bago ka ma reward ng flower. Kung gusto mo naman yung may mga flowers na talaga, sa Manila Seedling Bank sa QC maraming available

waaahh gusto ko maggarden, may area kami sa harap ng bahay na hindi pinasemento para makapagtanim kaso nagkaron naman kami ng american bulldog.. yung tanim na nasa paso sinira nya..haaayy..

thanks sis! [textspeak!] try ko, by the way, yung soil namen dito, meron carabao grass na nakatanim.. okay na kaya yung soil na yun? i mean mataba na kaya yun, mabubuhay kaya flowers ko dun?

nice thread. i'm currently experimenting with SNAP hydrophonics. bought a starter pack here in cebu. mahal nga lang coz the nutrient solution can only be bought in los baños. so far ok naman. hopefully i can harvest my lettuce in 30 days. every morning, i would inspect them, looking out for aphids. its really fun watching plants grow, nakakade-stress ü

hi sis, sorry sa late reply.. kung sa seeds ka mag start, better siguro yung mga nabibili sa ace or handyman na seed starting mix na soil. Hindi ako expert sa paghahalaman, trial and error lang ang gawa ko.. Kung plant na talaga yung itatanim mo siguro better start sa isa munang halaman, tapos pag ok ang naging result, tyaka ka na lang magdagdag HTH, enjoy!

When I bought aloe vera and basil, they were in a black garbage bag full of soil. Once I get some pots for these plants, should I keep the garbage bags or remove the black bag then transfer the soil w/ the plant in the pot? I forgot to ask the seller.

Sorry talaga for the newbie question...I'm a total beginner in gardening but I want to start learning now. If meron pa kayo ma advice, please share narin

ask ko lang po kung saan po kaya ako makakabili ng citronella na plant?
kasi citronella daw ay nagbubugaw ng lamok na nagdadala ng dengue, parang ayaw nila ng scent nyan kaya naghahanap ako para itanim sa garden namin.. and to share with our neighbors na rin..

^^sis pag ililipat mo na sa pots tanggalin mo na sa plastic. then move the plant with the soil then add ka lang ng soil to fill in the pots.

@serendipity02, sis sa Green 2000 meron citronella plant. But you have to call first paminsan kasi wala sila hinahanap mo.

Thanks at may Gardening thread pala. Sana may subject matter expert na mag share dito.

Naiinis ako kasi yung mga ibon lagi na lang kinakalbo mga tanim ko. Nasa rooftop halaman ko, pero covered naman. I have tried a lot of herbs (basil, rosemary ,thyme, mint ) , planted on pots . I had it indoors and outdoors ,pero after a while namamatay din. Iyong mint ako may kasalanan, kinakain ko kasi hehe.

I planted flowery plants. May flower sila nung binili ko pero as they mature ayaw na magbulaklak,pero malago naman ang dahon. I bought pampataba pero ganun pa rin. I think the problem is hindi full sun ang exposure ng plants ko dahil covered nga roof top.

Sa mga expert magtanim ,pwede ba sa pot ang pechay?

ako iba iba yung tanim ko sa lbas ng bhay namin.. may kalamansi plant ako nbili ko sa likod ng sunshine mall sa FTI 100 [textspeak!] meron ng bunga. ngayon sobrang dami na ulit ng flowers nya at tumutubo na yung ibang bunga grabe nakakatuwa. yung talong plant na binili ko wala pa ring bunga hay.... puro [textspeak!] flower. tpos meron din akong welcome plant, money tree.. gusto ko din mag tanim ng parsley,basil oregano and roses.. nakita ko dun sa HARBEST na website meron silang seminar sa June 30 regarding sa pagtatanim n veggies.. 500 ang fee http://www.harbest.com.ph/document/seminar%20June%2030%202012.jpg

^ about birds, i dunno kung saan makakabili, but maybe you can scout for it. Yung bird netting, prevents birds from getting access to your plants.

after reading this thread, na-inspire ako. hubby and i bought seeds from the supermarket and planted them 3 days ago. may mga suloy na yung labanos, kamatis at kangkong. hintay pa namin yung okra at sitaw.

Hay ako din problema ko yung mga bwiset na ibon. They killed my plants!!! Paano nyo shinoshoo away yung mga ibon? Or wala masyado ibon in your area? Hindi ko alam kasi paano gagawa ng cover e, wala naman gaano space sa house namin for a covered area
