I am using WinAvi video converter to convert .avi files to my ipod. i then connect my ipod using a cable to our tv to watch the movie. The converted video is ok when viewed on the oc or itunes or ipod but when i play it on the tv, when we are about 1/4 throught the video stops or sometimes the audio starts to sound like a broken cassette tape. i used to  have no problems so i can't pinpoint which is the culprit. can anyone help me?

same suggestion.. use a different encoder.. also, prefer, try to encode to mp4 coz most devices support mp4s video format.
