In general, for saving to be effective for me, dapat mandatory. Hehe. So far, sa mga salary deductions ako naka-save talaga since totally di ko nahahawakan yung pera at di ko na rin sinasama sa budget. It's as if di ko kinita yun so kinakalimutan ko muna pansamantala.

My employer deducted from me every payday to put into a savings/capital fund (parang coop, around 15% per annum ang balik), and to pay for a stock option I took out 3  years ago.

Ngayong naka-long leave ako, mas matipid pa ako compared nung pumapasok ako (even if before, I only spend for myself at ngayon pati mom ko kasama na sa food budget). At Php 200 per day, solve na solve na kami ni ma (minsan nga wala pang Php 150).

Sa akin, ang ultimate tipid tip: As much as possible, avoid eating out.
Haha!

Big Yes to No Starbucks. :)

Actually hindi na talaga ako nagstarbucks since last year pa. Nanghihinayang ako. Ibibili ko na lang ng food for my daughter. Hehe. Tsaka yung planner, sa National nalang bibili. Hahaha.

Korak! Ako, once in a blue moon lang ako magstarbucks. Mahal ng kape dyan! Grabe. And support Pinoy products.

i go for Zagu than starbucks..mas malaki difference eh..as for cupcakes, make one na lang. mas mura pang panregalo sa mga friends mo this Christmas. :)

I went at sm dept store thanksgiving sale yesterday to get 10% disc. for sm advantage cardholders. Ang tagal ko bago nakumpleto ang gamit ng baby ko kasi gusto ko sale bumili..then I used my credit card w/c I always pay on time & in full amount spent. I had the cashier swipe my transactions by P2,000 so I can get a free fast food meal :) so wala ako gastos sa food I redeemed a total of 4 meals yesterday + may dala kami water :)

By the way collecting a sticker sa starbucks is absolutely expensive!
I just use my phone to record things, yung planner kasi di ko masulit..

Eating out is our biggest weakness. Either magluto kami or kumain sa labas. Ilang ton na namin new year's resolution yang mag-luto sa bahay. Hay.

:P Pero ayun, sarifice. Jeep na lang most days of the week papasok ng office.

Try to search for the perfect carinderia in your area na sa tingin nyo po ay malinis ang pagkakagawa or nakikita nyo kung paano nila niluluto food nyo. When I'm working somewhere in Mandaluyong dati and nagroom for rent, there's a kitchen available but there are times talaga na tatamarin kang magluto because of your work. Therefore, I scout the area and find a perfect carinderia or any na nagluluto na siguradong patok sa panlasa ko and at the same time, alam kong malinis.

And also another tips, if may aso kayo sa bahay and there are times na you're eating outside like eating out sa mga food chains or restaurants, hwag mahihiyang ilagay sa maliit na supot yung leftovers nyo. Pwede yan sa aso. Sayang din, tinatapon lang nila yan e. I'm always doing that. Tuwang tuwa pa aso namin dahil may fried chicken pa sya. Di ba? :-D

Another thing when eating outside, don't forget to bring water. Instead na juice or bottled water na worth 25 pesos and up, bring your own na lang. Laking tipid din.  ;-)

Another last tipid na ginagawa ko din, if you bought juice or softdrinks then hindi nyo din lang mauubos habang kumakain, just tell the cashier kapag mag-oorder ka ng food na pakilagay sa plastic cup na may takip instead dun sa baso. Pwede mo sya pang dalin after mo kumain, mauubos mo pa yung drinks mo.

^ lol. good. ganun ako. gusto ko when i eat outside, most of the time i am alone, i manage to check if my plate is quite clean. ayoko ng may left over. nakapanghinayang. if chicken ang ulam, hihingi ako ng plastic for takehome para ipainit or para sa doggie ko lol. =)

btw girls/guys, try to save 10-peso coin, grabe anlaki na pala naipon ko sa kakaipon ng barya. one peso and 5 peso coin are useless.

believe me =)

Saving is easier and less hassle when I first discovered this. I don't need na palakihin ko pa yung savings bago ako magdeposit, basta may P100/P500/P1000 bill na ako na natira from my daily/weekly allowance, diretso deposit na sa machine.  ;)
