me, nung una sponge bath for a day, then after that siguro 1 week na warm bath, mabilisan pa to
wag daw ako magtatagal e.pero pasaway ako since napakainit nung nanganak ako, nagbubuhos
ako ng malamig di naman nila kita hehe.

24 hours ako sa hospital pag uwe sa bahay naligo na ko... okei lang naman daw sabi ng OB ko... nung nanganak ako naligo na ako bago pumunta sa hospital, so di ako haggard masyado after manganak... tsaka I'm bfing eh padededehin ko anak ko ng di pa ko naliligo kadiri naman yun...

I gave birth via NSD around 8pm then I took a warm shower at 6am, pwede naman sabi ng OB ko. Di ko kaya hindi maligo lalo na kung may blood na lumalabas sa V ko.

sis gentai_chan, gelai nga daw tawag dun sabi ng tita ko...

may nalalaman pa nga silang hilot hilot sa may pelvic part eh (ginawa nila sakin) para daw bumalik sa dati un korte (sana lang!)

saka sa may likod para daw mag increase un milk production. tapos un nga bawal maligo

yes sis gelai nga..actually dito ko lang sa GT nalaman yun may existing thread about it dito eh..

and one more thing CS ako and mejo na infect yung tahi ko so advise din ni OB wag munang basain and wag muna maligo

sis gentai, di ka nga naligo ng one month? kaugalian sa chinese kasi yun..

@sisFayeP, sa iyo isusunod mo din ba si gelai? mga chinese na kilala ko sinunod..

tapos ang food, yung mga masustansya pa talaga dapat, like lapu lapu and chicken.. hehe

^yes sis..plan ko talaga is 2 weeks lang kase parang ngang mejo matagal ang 1 buwan haha! kaya lang nainfect siya ng ika 3rd week so ayun inabot na din ng 1 month..napaka precious ng tubig that time lol

Nanganak ako ng Tuesday via NSD. Sabi ng mom ko this Sunday na lang ako maligo. Tiis tiis sa punas-punas at wash-wash hehe

ako sis since first time mom hands on and sobrang research ko and tinry ko yung gelai maganda din kase ang mga benefits..like yung pag drink ng hot soup with ginger to serve as anti oxidant after natin manganak and pagkain ng Lapu lapu to easily recover frm the stitches whethter CS or NSD since its rich in Omega 3 to help tissue repair..I think it's not necessary to follow Gelai hehe esp yung 1 month without ligo lol it really depends on us kung anong pinak effective way to easily recover from giving birth

You would never know unless you've done it or not...those who have swear by it, those who haven't said they don't feel any different.

My mother in law did it for her 3 children and she claims she has no bodily aches at all.

My mom didn't (she was in the US) and she has more joint pains, body aches, etc.

I have had several friends who did it and they did say it got kinda gross but they understand rin the importance of going thru it.

Who knows it could be their genes as well right?

My mother in law expects me to do the whole she-bang when I give birth. It's more than just not showering, there are certain foods and drinks that you need to eat and others to avoid. Medicines to be purchased and prepared for consumption. I'll give it a try and see how far I can go - but I'm thinking I will at least have to wipe myself down daily and definitely wash down there several times a day. It's gonna be tough coz I shower at least twice a day now. I'm planning on staying with my MIL for 2 weeks para if ever I can't take it anymore, I can go home and shower in peace.

mama ko rin 10 days ako ayaw paliguin kasi mapapasma nga raw pero di ko talaga kinaya after 3 days naligo ako ang kati kasi sobra sa ulo..

gusto rin ni mama na magpahilot ako para daw ibalik yung balakang (ewan ko kung pano yun... hehe) kaso wala naman kami makitang manghihilot na pwede gumawa non..

mas malessen daw ang body pains pag sinunod yung 10days or 2weeks without ligo.. gusto ko sana sundin e kaso super init talaga and kati sa ulo..

ASAP talaga sa akin, hygiene na din yun kasi super talaga akong pinagpawisan noon so I cannot stand na hindi ako maligo. Normal delivery ako.

mama ko, di naman Chinese pero pinapag-Gelai nya ako. para daw di ako lamigin while recuperring from giving birth. so ang first ligo ko ay after 2 weeks, may mga pito-pito pang mga dahon na pinakuluan para sa panligo ko at walang shampoo! banlaw lang talaga ng buhok. Pero everyday twice a day ako nagpupunas sa sobrang init (malagkit sa boobs yung pawis hahahaha)! tapos after ko maligo pinahilot nya ako para nga raw bumalik sa dati ang katawan ko. Then after two weeks ulit yung ligo, this time ni-shampoo na yung buhok pero ganun pa din, may pito-pito na kasama. tapos hilot plus suob naman. so far mas mabilis akong pumayat dahil sa hilot at suob hehe, pero bumalik lahat ng taba ko nang mag-one year old na mga baby ko

I gave birth at 10:39pm, kinabukasan pinaligo na ako. Bawal na hindi ka maliligo. So everyday akong naliligo since I gave birth 9 days ago
