Your Favorite Pasta Recipes =)
« on: December 14, 2011, 07:50:20 AM »
HI Sisies,

Magdagdag pa tayo dito ng all-time favorite pasta recipes natin  :)
Let's make this a Pasta Cookbook

I have some pasta recipes I would like to share, for those who are looking for light and healthy pasta cravings :) since I'm a vegetarian, there is no meat, poultry, fish, and eggs involved in my recipes  ;)

1. Garlic Pasta

1 head garlic, crushed finely (you can add some more if you desire)
generous amount of olive oil
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup black olives (optional)
italian seasoning or fresh herbs like parsley, basil, oregano
handful of capers (optional)
cheese (as desired)
1/2 kg long pasta

heat the olive oil, add the garlic and slow cook until a bit brown. Do not burn. saute as well the italian seasoning/herbs. Add the capers and olives last. Remove from heat and toss the pasta and cheese. Yum!

2. Nut and Herb Pasta (learned this from a cooking show)

1 cup nuts (can be a mixture of peanuts, cashew, pine nuts. but pine nuts is best)
1 bunch of fresh parsley
1 handful of basil
a few oregano
salt and pepper to taste

^grind everything above in food processor until very fine. it should be a bit powdery.

1/4 kg long spaghetti (or more) cooked as directed

In a bowl, just toss the mixture with the pasta and serve! :) you may add cheese or olive oil if desired :)

I will be sharing more recipes soon:

Grilled Vegies Pasta
Pesto Pasta (make your own pesto!)
All time favorite Spaghetti
Vegetarian White Sauce Pasta
Vegetarian Lasagna

what can I say, I'm a pasta lover  ;)

love pasta too! hindi nga lang ako masyado magaling magluto, but here are 2 recipes i've learned to cook na patok ang lasa sa family & friends ko :)

Red Sauce Spaghetti (recipe ni mother ang pinaggayahan ko)
- onion, garlic
- ground beef (lean)
- hotdogs (sliced/cubed)
- mushroom (whole in can; you can slice 'em in half)
- Spaghetti sauce (we usually use Clara Ole three cheese)
- Reno liver spread
- Nestle all purpose cream
- UFC banana catsup (optional)
- cheese (grated)
- salt & pepper to taste
- sugar to taste
- spaghetti noodles (or any pasta)

--cooking the sauce:
saute first onion & garlic, then add the ground beef. pag cooked na yun ground beef, add yun mushroom & hotdogs. after a minute or two, add na yun spag sauce, catsup (optional), liver spread, all purpose cream, grated cheese, pepper (later na yun salt baka kasi enough na yun alat because of cheese). simmer for about 5 mins. if kulang pa sa alat, add salt to taste. & to make it pinoy style (medyo sweet), add sugar to taste, simmer again for about 10-15 mins.

@betsyness: me too, i do that very simple pasta dish. although since i'm not fond of sardines, i use spicy tuna! then topped with chili flakes (and sometimes cheese) coz I like it hot! :P
There are four basic food groups: milk chocolate, dark chocolate, white chocolate & chocolate truffles. ♥

Aglio Olio

Pasta
Garlic (sliced in "mojos" style)
Olive Oil (better if its a little cold)
Parmesan Cheese
Parsley
Salt and Pepper

Combine Garlic and Olive Oil in a pan put on low heat until garlic turns golden brown/ light brown... add in this mixture to cooked pasta. Add Salt and Pepper to taste. Top with Parsley, Salt and Pepper.

Options: Add in Chicken or Shrimp or Veggies.

Carbonara

Pasta
Bacon
Oil
Eggs (some use egg yolk lang)
Parmesan Cheese
Parsley (some use basil)
Salt and Pepper

Cook Bacon (sliced) in oil. In a separate bowl, combine eggs, parmesan cheese and pepper.
After cooking the pasta, put it in the Pan with the bacon and oil (Note that the fire from the stove must be turned off and you can take some of the oil out before putting in the pasta if the oil is too many). Then quickly mix in egg-cheese mixture. Add salt if hindi kulang sa saltiness and top with parsley.

Options: Adding in Ham or Mushroom or Veggies

Usual Spaghetti (pambatang spag)

1 UFC ketchup (glass)
Macaronio Elbow Pasta
Cheese

Saute onion and garlic. Then put the giniling and hotdog. Put 1 pack of Del Monte Spag Sauce and half of UFC ketchup. Salt and pepper. If maasim pa put sugar. Then niluto ko na yung pasta. para maiba Macaroni Elbow ginamit ko (sawa na kasi ako sa regular pasta)
