ALL ABOUT BABY SHAMPOO
« on: October 25, 2011, 01:48:19 pm »
My 11 month old baby uses Cetaphil from birth up  to 6 months then  i changed it to Pigeon Body Wash Chamomile & Jojoba so far ok naman. Just last week, I bought Nivea baby Head to Toe wash nag-ka allergy siya. I thought mild yung nivea since pang baby yon. Namula nappy area ni baby ska magaspang face niya... I switched back to Cetaphil muna, pag galing na rashes niya balik uli ako sa Pigeon.

What shampoo are you using for your baby?

I used j&j yung with conditioner, yung orange ang kulay. tapos someone gave her naman yung dove na shampoo, mabango siya and malambot sa buhok.

For both my kids, they used lactacyd blue when they newborns til 2-3mos.

After that my girl used/tried the ff:
- pigeon (mabango and matagal mawala ng Amoy)
- gerber grins and giggle (this one I really like. Too bad it's phased out already)
- huggies Shea and lavender, the imported ones and not the local ones
- burt's bees (nice sana but expensive)
- mustela (same as burt's bees)
- j&j shampoo (the imported ones and not the local ones)
- aveeno

For my boy so far he tried the ff:
- burt's bees
- aveeno
- and currently he's using pigeon now

Lactacyd blue when he was newborn til 2-3months. Then Nivea baby shampoo, then tried aveeno then J&J. Pero hindi nagtatagal yung amoy sa buhok nya. Or should I say mabilis umasim yung ulo nya dahil pawisin masyado son ko. So currently we're using Eskulin (Donald duck) for him. Super bango at matagal mawala ang amoy kahit pawisin at super active ng son ko.  :)

I'm still using Mustela shampoo on Zoe but hinde na long-lasting yung scent sa kanya because of pawis. Once she finishes the bottle baka mag-switch na ko to Eskulin.
Whatever I want, I get. If I can't, I don't stop TRYING.

My four year-old boys are hiyang with Suave for Kids shampoo.  Their hair is thick, soft and shiny.  My favorite is the orange-mango variant.  They have been using this brand since they were 2 years old.

My kids are not hiyang with Johnson's (imported).  Their hair was kinda dry and not as shiny when they used the brand, padala lang ni MIL.

Other brands we have tried: Enfant (smells good), Mustela (expensive), Burt's Bees (expensive) and Huggies (another fave).  For now, we are sticking with Suave.  Even my husband uses it LOL.

for my baby's first few baths, my mom used cetaphil (i say my mom kasi hindi pa ako marunong magpaligo noon. hehe) but she didnt like it kasi hindi daw mabula at walang amoy. so we switched to aveeno. this one is ok. super pawisin ang ulo niya when she's asleep pero hindi naman umaasim (pa?).

when we finished a bottle of aveeno, i tried huggies natural care. ok din ito but i like the smell of aveeno better so when we finished the bottle of huggies, we switched back to aveeno.

i ordered mustela from amazon kasi bumaba na ang hazard rating. after we finish this bottle of aveeno, i will try that next.

my baby is almost 1 year old. buti naman hindi siya sensitive masyado ang had no bad reactions to the the products we've tried.

^^ meron yata both.

i havent tried mustela, actually. about to pa lang because of the rave reviews din. burt's bees i havent tried din but i dont like the smell.

between the 2, better and burst bees sana because all natural. lower hazard rating too than mustela.

@beatrice zuri, malapit sa National Bookstore and Cafe Mary Grace sa ground floor ang Mustela kiosk.  Complete ang line nila doon, pati yung pang-eczema at pang-pregnant mommies na lines, nandoon.
