PrincessC,
Rule 1: every meal (including snacks) take fresh fruits and/or vegies to counteract the protein&carbs that you eat. At least a fresh fruit or vegie juice for example.
Rule 2: avoid (or at least take very little of) the super acid sources: butter (& anything that has much of it), animal fat, softdrinks & energy drinks, vinegar, excess Vit C, fructose (& all products that have it---usually ingredient list has "syrup"), white sugar, meat/chicken, full cream milk, deep fried food, roasted food, baked food esp decadent chocolate cake & those highFat stuff.
Rule 3: in any food group, choose the less acidic item if you can. E.g. choose brown rice instead of white, wheat bread instead of white bread/pandesal, oatmeal instead of rice, chicken instead of meat, fish instead of chicken, boiled/stirfried food instead of deep fried, leafy vegies instead of potatoes/corn...
Rule 4: when eating acidic stuff stick to one serving (size of the palm of your hand) only. do not overload on rice and meat and chicken.
Rule 5: know the healthy alkaline drinks e.g. unsweetened Del Monte Pineapple Juice, lagundi tea (best is Golden Spoon brand), green tea (any brand basta tea bag & not bottled liquid). Or make your own fresh juices at home.
sorry mahaba na 'to. actually this diet cures all illnesses though i suppose you'll find that hard to believe
you can search the net about pH balance diet. problem lang ka there are contradicting claims as to whether an item is acidic or alkaline...
