gaano katagal ang road trip ng bangkok to siem reap sis glitch? kasi from saigon to siem reap is 12 hrs...i advise you not to have a madaling araw road trip or kahit gabing road trip, kasi usually nagkakaroon ng bus accident, especially na solo traveller ka pala...

hi sis southpaw! nov. 1 ang flight ko. nov. 2 and 3 ako papasyal ng siem reap. pls. let me know if anyone here is going and maybe we can meet up! :D

hi sis yby2476, according to the forums, kaya daw ng 6-8 hours ang travel from bangkok to siem reap kasi the roads are better than they were before. :)  super bilis ko nga lang sa siem reap, medyo nakakahinayang... i'm supposed to take a plane back to bangkok on nov. 3 via phnom penh pero iniisip ko kung i'll stay behind na lang and take another half-day trip on nov. 3 td tour the temples pa kasi wala naman daw makikita masyado sa phnom penh. sooo, baka bus na lang ulit back to bangkok at 1PM after i check out... what  do you girls think?   tia!!!

^January pa ang planned trip ko, sis. But I haven't booked any ticket nor reserved any hotel/guest house.

Baka mabitin ka nga sa 1 day, sis! Let's wait for our sisses here to guide you regarding the bus trip going back to BKK.

^ sis, better to allot 1 day for the overland travel. baka kasi mapagod ka lang din and baka di mo na maappreciate yung temples. bangkok to aranyaprathet is 6hrs by train, 5hrs by bus. then from poipet to sr is 3hrs. add mo pa yung immigration (2x). sometimes mas matagal pa diyan ang biyahe.

Sis, check the night bus schedules posted by sis starlust here:

http://www.femalenetwork.com/girltalk/index.php/topic,209992.400.html

Na-excite pa naman ako sa pag-abang sa Sept 21 promo ng Air Asia, akala ko makaka-book na ako ng discounted fare from KL to Siem Reap, wala naman. :-\

hello.. share ko lang po... last march pumunta kami ng aranyapratet market (cambodia border) from bkk via taxi. 2500baht yung bayad so naghati hati nalang kami (3 kami). okay yung travel kc less than 3hrs nasa border na kami. maraming taxi na nagpapakontrata papuntang border, ang maganda doon mas mabilis ang biyahe nyo. regarding sa immigration yung first konte lang ang tao pero yung second immigration haba ng pila that was around lunch time already. btw, nagpunta lang kami ng border for shopping tska patatak sa passport :D :D di kami tumuloy na papuntang SR pero this october 5 babalik kami and this time sa SR na talaga... magtataxi parin kami ( 4 na kami ;D) from bkk going to the border and from the border to SR magtataxi parin kami, i think less 50USD ang bayad ihahatid pa sa hotel. try namin makarating ng less than 6hrs from bkk.

share ko lang itong link: http://www.canbypublications.com/cambodia/overland.htm#Aran

Oo nga sis, mukhang ngang forever ng may silent tension ang Cambodia and Thailand kaya i'm a bit weary of taking that route din. :(

Regular KL-SER fare is P4000+ pa rin eh.
