@nicoletta imo, 13 sessions is very very many... i'm super balbon too (as in very very hairy).. but it only took me 5 sessions...

what's really important is NOT the machine but the ONE doing the laser -- which should be a trained laser technician -- one who really studied how to effectively slow down hair growth permanently... after 5 sessions, i was hair for many many months as in no growing hair... then after around 6 months, hair grew but very very unnoticeable... since feb 2010, i haven't had any booster shots... i just cut the hair with small metal scissors

thanks jazzygelable for your help with explaining and translating the issues circulating here. i'll be taking them all into account. will also do my best to impartially scrutinize skinhouse and share my experiences here.
i had this partial conclusion with facial centers, because it didn't went well with 2 of the facial centers
my girl friend visited. they were inexpensive but did not leave a good impression on her. so you're quite lucky with the personnel.

nicoletta, could you explain a little bit what the advantages of soprano xl over other machines? i can research about it, but it would save a lot of time if you explain it since you seem knowledgeable about it.
i'd be very much appreciative.

brattinella, I went to a very good clinic before going here. And now, I'm just having my booster shot with the derma.
Your hair must have been responsive to the laser. What fluence did you start with?

Colo, something to do with the capacity to go deeper since it has deeper wavelength, and the fact that it is diode. Upon reading international forums, I'm very confident with diode. Ask dra daet when you visit again

yeah. swerte nga ni sis bratinella. i wish more or less ganun mangyari sa akin.
they currently are asking for feedbacks that should be sent to their email.
iniisip ko pa kung mageemail ako kasi i think its better to talk to joan na.
i know din naman that they read over this thread.
they informed me also na they'll have sunday operations starting july 1.
i guess they really do listen to the feedbacks.

Mga sissies, pahelp naman... i'm torn between Skin House and Skin Station. Same machine lang ang gamit nila (soprano xl) but right now, may super tempting promo si Skin Station ngyon which is yung 2 years unlimited LHR nila for 5.5K. I need your opinions on what made you choose Skin House. TIA!

jazzygelable, how many sessions of laser have you finished? And are your strands thin nalang ba? After reading what brattinella posted, she is basically saying that she is satisfied with her service because she has thin hair nalang. Which means it's not complete gone, but thin. I want kasi mine to be hair free talaga, my friend kasi has very minimal hair. 2 hair lang which cannot be seen, and I want mine to be like that too.

chaze, you should have a consultation with dra to really understand the difference. If you want, I can pm you some details about the difference so you know what to go for. Iba parin talaga the soprano xl, this is the one i have used since before pa and i'm satisfied.

Mgs sis! Madaming naguguluhan between skin house and skin station cuz they almost sound the same hehe but sis from what I know skin station is using different hair removal machines for their branches. Some of their branches uses Ipl pa nga eh I know cuz I already inquired long time ago. You can google soprano xl and you will see how it looks like. The one at skin house is colored white eh alam ko. Ms. Joan showed me the YouTube video pa nga. I suggest you better check first before deciding.

As per my treatments at skin house I have no problems with them. Pansin ko Lang medyo mahirap na mag sched sa Kanila ngayon. Are they really opening on sundays? That would be great!

Yup, I agree with sis bratinella. I had only 6 sessions nung 2004. Super balbon din ako. Ang konti na lang nung tumubo. I had a booster shot this year lang, nung March.

jazzygelable: Yup, out of all the clinics, pinaka nagbabantay at nagpo-post sa forums ang marketing people ng Skin House at Skin Station.

What is the name of the derma that you work with at hoo? I'm sure she knows dra angel. She is part of the academe and most dermas i've had consultations with know her. I'm surprised because my previous derma, who is the best as far as I know, was not able to take out my hairs in 6 sessions. 13 sessions ako with booster, and wala naman nga akong hair ngayon except for 1 very thin strand.

I've been reading active posts from skin house, house of obagi, skin station and recently dra. martires hehe Those are probably combinations of actual clients and some people who work for those clinics

sis chantal, manipis na lang pero madami pa. nagtry din akong hugutin kasi baka naman pwedeng makuha even without tweezers just like nung mga first sessions pero ayaw talaga.

their staff told me they'll start operations every sunday on july 1. nagpasched na nga ako eh.
as for the skinstation vs. skinhouse issue, i hear na soprano din ang gamit ng iba nilang branches.
ang maganda sa kanila is that they have so many branches na usually in malls.
ang maganda naman sa skinhouse, di ganun katao so appointments are relatively easier there.

@Chantal89 started with 22, then my last 2 sessions were at 24... all sessions have 100+ zaps/clicks... and i had 1 motnh interval

as to rthe hair growth, it's very very fine & i cut it with small scissors... you'll be hairless for a few months then hair grows super fine but very very slow...

@nicoletta i had mg LHR with Dra. Alma Perez. She's the head doctor @ HOO GB5.

Our difference is that I no longer have any hair growth except for a total of 3 strands maximum.

I can't question my previous dermatologist because she was the head of dermatology for UST hospital. Her name is dra. maria angel tomacruz-cumagun, and she had a proven track record. When I was asking her for a guarantee, she couldn't really give me any

I had a total of 13 sessions with her for the underarms, and though I might have had more compared to you, I'm very happy as I no longer have any visible hair, not even up close.

Sis schilo, they usually give 50% off on their Diode lhr services if you get their packages. I got my underarm diode with them at P13,500 for 6 sessions. Naka 50% off na yun. I am not sure if they are still following the same deal now. Better to go to their clinic instead to get a quotation with them. Yun yung ginawa ko dati eh

So far ok na hair ko. Meron pa rin konti after 6 sessions but minimal nalang. Nag boobooster shots nalang ako

I have the same dilemma. I am torn between Skin House and Skin Station! But I have been seeing good reviews with the latter. But something inside believes Skin House more! Yelpppp! :|

Hello.

Just want to share, I think my hair is starting to shed already. It has been a week since my first session. i have been using milcu for a week already. I have to be honest, since I have hyperhidrosis, I honestly thought this will not work. But it's pretty effective. You won;t be allowed kase to use regular deodorant for a week or two. I am not sure, I will double check with the white paper of Do's and Dont's that they gave! But I might stick to Milcu for two weeks. Siguro 2 weeks after and before Treatment.

Also! I noticed that first week after my first treatment, the skin became quite sensitive. There was very very slight redness which I think was just normal cause the machine is good. (I am hoping this is the reason) Anyway, i did not scratch it cause it wasn't really itchy. It just feels senstive. I have sent them a message regarding this and they have advised to get anti inflammatory cream and to stop scratching. Di ko naman kinamot so di naman siya umitim. Honestly, I though it will darken, naiiyak na ako. Pero, hindi naman. After a week, the redness subsided and it went back to it was before. I will get their cream

Piece of advise to those who are planning to start their procedure in Skin House, get the cream as well. We don't know how your skin would react with the treatment so might as well be ready.

Overall, I am still stoked about getting their package!

You really need that cream for the redness to subside. Just remembered, I'm supposed to be scheduled for brazilian again but I've been busy with my tinghun (engagement, chinese style) preparations that I don't have time to go back.

So far, I've been cutting the hair down there and the hair isn't itchy naman and still thin. I also like that the nurse therapist makes it a point to follow up on my appointments though I'm already fully paid.
