We got married Feb 18, 2012 in Boracay and since it was a destination wedding we had a welcoming back full of Filipino goodies and we engraved fans and labeled bottled of water for the guests during the very hot ceremony. So since the guests pretty much had mini souvenirs, my husband and I decided to do something better with the money we would've spent for the giveaways. So instead of giveaways that people will most likely throw out we instead sponsored a child through Children's International. I've encouraged a couple of my friends to donate the money they would've spent for giveaways to a charities of their choice. One friend had her wedding in Oct (breast cancer month) so she donated to the American Breast Cancer. And what we all did was placed a very elegant card on each table setting with a note stating "In lieu of giveaways a donation has been made to _______ in your behalf." I think it's nice to give back after spending so much. It's just a nice thing to do. Well good luck ladies! I just thought I should share.  ;) :D

Sis, I love your suggestion! I checked yung Unicef Cards kaso ang mahal din pala 60 pesos each! I was looking for 50 pesos below na merchandise lang that I can buy that supports a charity org din sana as give aways eh...

Hay nako mga sis, na inspire kasi ako sa sabi ni sis melody619 so I've been looking for charity organizations selling stuff para at least yung give away namin yung proceeds went to charity. Kaso mamahal naman pala ng benta nila eh budget namin ni H2B is 40 pesos lang sana per guests kasi may photobooth magnets naman and candy buffet with personalized bags. I am thinking mga thank you cards nalang sana from Unicef kaso 60 pesos each din eh.

Ok narin kasi ang dami gastos sa wedding diba parang give a portion to them narin na double purpose narin give away and help sa kanila. :)

^Rachebeli Wines & Chocolates, sis. I'll make 3 flavors: white, milk choco at dark choco. Put each in a baking cup tapos ilalagay ko sa pillow box pero naghahanap pa din ako ng right size/color. O kaya acetate pillow box.

Happy to share it din naman. I buy chocolates and molders from Chocolate Lovers, Gourdo, Cooks Exchange and other baking stores. Chocolates usually have 6-12 mos expiry date. Mahirap gumawa kasi you have to chop a big block then melt then transfer sa molder then freeze it then remove sa molder then wrap one by one. E usual number na magagawa ko per molder 4-6 pcs lang, so you can imagine gaano katagal matapos ang 100 pcs.

^i also want to use colored foil kaso mejo mahirap na humanap nun ngayon. saka mas matrabaho kasi yun, dapat maingat ka talaga dahil madali mapunit yung foil. so i'll just go for the easier way and just put them in baking cups.

eto yung molder ko: http://www.chocolatedreamsco.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/EWV4A-BRIDE-GROOM-PIECE.jpg

kung wala ka o ayaw mo na bumili ng molder pwede rin na choco in cups o choco polvoron like this: http://www.pixiepartyshop.com/image/cache/data/sweet-shop-usa/hy77fcb3-500x500.jpg

^Sis, just in case you might need pa the supplier, I highly recommend Sophia's Chocolat. :) Got their chocolates for our entourage. :)
