0.8 hp vs 0.5 hp aircon for a 9-square Meter Room?
« on: July 18, 2011, 10:15:43 AM »
which should i get?

Thanks.

Depends sa dami ng things mo.  Baka kasi kahit 9sqm lang room mo e madami naman things inside tapos puro electronics pa, if I were you I'll get the 0.8.

It really depends on how you insulate your room.  I would suggest you ask your hardware store for ideas on this para kahit maliit yun horsepower ng a/c mo ay it can retain the coolness.

Correct rin na it depends on the amount of electronics you have in your room plus where your room is located. Kaya yun a/c niya was just enough to make the room bearable.  Once pinatay mo tulo agad ang pawis mo.

Get the 0.8 HP kasi especially sa summer, mahihirapan ang 0.5 mo.

Our bedroom is about 19 sqm and we are using a 1.5HP aircon unit. During th cooler months, what you should do is just lessen the time the aircon stays on.

Hi sises! Please enlighten me. Thank you. :)

Hi, Nuna.

You checked the window but did not consider the socket for the aircon.  If you are simply going to plug it sa wall socket na ordinary ay do think twice.

Ang wall socket na ordinary ay connected to others or not depending sa design.  Kaya ang aircon socket ay hiwalay ay to bear the load for that.

I would hazard a guess na hindi mo problema to bear the added cost of introducing that sa monthly electric bill.  Yun lang ay the taxes and such increase with the added cost.

A bit too much ang inverter na split type but from how things are parang yun na lang ang lumalabas na solution. Maybe its more practical to custom fabricate a brace and grill for that window sa room for a window type aircon than go for a split type.  Or simply have the window disassembled considering sliding type naman siya and pasadya mo na a brace and window just for that.
