Total damage 1391.50 based on 5pax sharing.

Day 2 -mag 7am na kami naka check out para mag Sabang Tour. Kay Hanny of Hadefe Travel kami nag avail ng van rent. Ang route - PPS (pick up from Ysabelle) -> Sabang Tour (Mangrove +UR) --> drop off at Marina Garden El Nido. Then travel na kami pa-el nido.

to be continued... :)

^ wow sis detailed travel kwento yey! :) halos pareho tayo ng mga "suppliers" ah? hehe. i've checked out Ysabelle and La Charica's website. pareho lang halos rate nila. pero mas type ko si Ysabelle based on the pics and amenities.

Sisters, can anyone give a review on which of the two resorts (Miniloc or Lagen) is better in terms of accommodation, food, and activities? We're planning to go to El Nido in December. I've searched GT, can't find a good review on these.

sis lakwatsa, thanks for those information.  ano sa tingin mo pinakamaganda dun sa tour A,B,C,D ng El Nido?  How far from each other ba ang mga yun?  Talaga bang 1 day each dapat yun para ma-enjoy bawat island?

^welcome sis:)

kiara888 Ive stayed in Miniloc.  If we'll compare the rooms, Lagen is better because mas modern than Miniloc.  But sa Lagen, walang shore and they only have a swimming pool.  Miniloc is better for me because mas malapit sa mga islands like the small and big lagoon, etc.

The beach is so-so.  I didn't swim because medyo nadudumihan ako.  There are baby sharks din.

The rooms are not outstanding.  I got the feeling na it's too expensive for the price.  Miniloc resort is smaller than what I expected.  The rooms are okay, not as luxurious as they market it to be.  We got the higher room category with loft, but you can hear the footsteps of the other guests from the other rooms.

Pero sa service, I am very satisfied =)  Food is excellent too! Ill post pics of the resort  :)

you're welcome kirara888  ;)

Here are 2 photos of Miniloc.  That's pretty much the whole resort.  Just add the dining area in between these two.
http://i55.tinypic.com/28m1nrq.jpg
http://i56.tinypic.com/beitjb.jpg

We stayed in one of the rooms on the 2nd photo.  When I said the rooms are 'just okay', it's because it doesn't compare to other 5-star resorts, but it's okay.  No major problem with anything =)
http://i51.tinypic.com/33elnb6.jpg
http://i55.tinypic.com/293vhc5.jpg

The beach looks really nice in this photo...
http://i55.tinypic.com/2i0rtyh.jpg

But when it gets low tide, you can see what's under the clear water.  Personally, I wouldn't go barefoot in there   :-[
http://i51.tinypic.com/jhuhwh.jpg

And as I mentioned, there are baby sharks swimming around.  We were told hey are harmless, but I still didn't want to risk it haha.
http://i55.tinypic.com/bf16jb.jpg

Here are the other room types.  The problem is, I expected more so when I saw these, I thought "Bakit parang nasa batangas lang ako?"
http://i52.tinypic.com/29fa341.jpg

The beachfront.  The only place where you can bum around, aside from your room.  I also get the batangas vibe here  ???
http://i56.tinypic.com/2qm2i9v.jpg
http://i51.tinypic.com/o5teyp.jpg

At the end of the resort is a basketball ring..
http://i55.tinypic.com/2dvsw7l.jpg

And finally, the Swedish Survivor crew who were there during our stay last May ;D
http://i53.tinypic.com/692jwx.jpg

To be fair, I didn't regret going there and their service made up for it.  Siguro I would say less about Miniloc if we stayed there during the off-peak season, when they can even give you their service full-blast.  Aside from that, I also really didn't want to miss out on El Nido, and Miniloc is probably the best resort to stay in, and that leaves me with no choice  ;)

In my opinion lang, if you haven't been to Coron, you might want to consider Club Paradise Resort instead of El Nido Miniloc.  If I'll be comparing those 2 resorts, Club Paradise wins for me (actually, even El Nido and Coron in general).  :)  I found El Nido too hyped, siguro kasi it is not as accessible as Coron  :)

To add, those ads by El Nido Resorts showing a picture of a nice dining set-up with beach umbrella on a pristine beach is not even on their resorts.  It's in one of the islands in El Nido  :)
