Just sold our toyota town ace van, planning to buy new one.
From what i gather from this thread much better dumeretso sa bank than sa dealer.
Ask ko lang what about yung mga deal sa mall kapag may auto show, diba meron nakalagay as low as 36k all in downpayment, hindi ba ok yung mga ganong deal?tia

sis, no need to open a new account..[textspeak!] previous payroll account ko na open pa until now ginagamit ko e..ng-debit na [textspeak!] every month si BPI for my loan payment

sis, our payroll is under BPI and sa BPI they have this save-up dba. part of my salary goes there so yun na ang savings ko. ok na kaya yung account na yun para makapag car loan ako sa BPI?

we're planning to buy honda city 2012, but hubby is in US. it will be my first car so sobrang clueless pako where to start.

i wanna get my own car na rin.. kahit 2nd hand lang. Plan na namin ng sister ko yan kahit share kami :) well use will be going to work (pero mukhang not everyday naman), going to the other house to visit and for weekends if we go out/malling, etc :) hindi naman sya heavy use talaga kaya di rin namin kailangan ng super laki or bongga. usual route lang naman namin is makati-taguig.. minsan alabang or qc (pag weekends siguro).

Haaay sana maka-save kami. ano ba mare-recommend nyo na okay na car? sana not so high maintenance rin :P

Hi Frothe, maganda BPI and RCBC. Kami noon 1 day lang. I just ordered the car and color and paid the DP. They had it tinted, the next day, na deliver na.

For those who plan to buy mag haggle kayo. When I got my car I was choosing between Honda Civic and Toyota Altis. I told the Salesmen I was caught between the two cars. Binabaan nila ang presyo. Nagbigay ng freebies. Honda gave me 10k/month (from 11k/month) at 50%DP. Toyota gave me 7,500/month(from 10k) kalalabas pa alng ng Altis nun at naghahabol sila ng sales. In the end I settled for Honda kasi that was what I really wanted. I preferred 50% DP kasi ayoko ng malaki ang MA.

If you can wait a little while, hintayin nyo ang mga promos. I got my car at 50k less! Wag nyo madaliin, remember ang car di katulad ng damit, pag sawa or ayaw mo na pwede mo na i garage sale. Remember din that it will be on a 3-5 yr mortgage so madaming sacrifices ang gagawin mo. If possible buy your dream car na kasi imagine mo yun feeling if you settled for something less (because nagmamadali ka bumili) tapes makikita mo young car na dapat binili mo nasa harapan mo sa traffic. Uber torture un!

Sana nakatulong.  ;)

got mine from PSbank. super bilis ng transaction. in less than a week, approve na. after a week, nakuha ko na yung car. sa agent ka ng car makipagcoordinate. sa akin yung hyundai agent ang tumulong para maapprove ako.

dati i like second hand kaso mahirap yung maintenance e. i am not willing to spend extra cash abruptly dahil may sira o ano pa man. so brand new kinuha ko. malaki tipid sa gas. good luck sis!

But if you have the means and you can sustain the MA and regular maintenance, bill ka ng new car. Stick with toyota for new car owners. Mas mura ang maintenance nito. My first car was Toyota GLI. I noticed that maintenance in Honda is more expensive than Toyota. :)

Oo naman, sis.  This is a big help.  I didn't know na pwede pals mag-haggle.  Now I know.  Honda nag din ang gusto ko but I like CRV more kaso ang mahal. Hahaha.  Ang sakit sa puso siguro non.  :)

By the way, how much naman ang initial cash out nyo?  I know that it would depend on the DP, but aside from the DP, magkano naman sa insurance, registration and ano-ano pa nga ba? :-\   Tia.

Hi Frothe, I liked CRV too , I wanted that. Kaya lang aside from the unit price, 1.4M!!! sobra mahal ang gas and maintenance. Ay naku, may iba pa akong balak gastusin every month. I settled for Civic instead. Oh my gulay!

I paid 550k DP with insurance, LTO, chattel mortgage, free matting and tint. If I'm not mistaken 1liter=40kms country driving (high speed) Manual transmission. If you're gonna get Automatic siguro ang city driving nya 1L=30kms. That is not bad!

In the long run, matipid talaga siya. isa pang maganda sa Honda, mataas ang resale value. Honda civic and jazz are predicted to have long range syle. Meaning 20 years from now, ang design niya uso pa run (daw) :-)

Happy Car hunting Frothe!

Thank you sis! Haha!

Hehe. :-)  Can you wait a little longer? I think walang promo ngayon. Usually promos start in October -December, and March-May. Quezon Ave bracing bagged the best dealer award, kaso hell ang pag punta ngayon kasi uber traffic. Try to visit at least 3 branches near you, try to haggle. Bihina magbaba ng presyo(unit price) ang honda but they give discounts in insurance and mortgages.
