You need to have it water proofed. If you go to ace hardware, may section dun where they demo. it/ how it works.. We had the same prob esp nung 2009, after having it water proofed, ok na walls namin. I used to call it our crying walls.. Parang paint lang ang application nya.

sis, kung hindi naman nanggagaling sa may kisame yung tubig, tama si sis iam to have it waterproofed..but if galing kisame, prolly it's from the roof ang pinaka cause nya so better have it checked....

Try to find where the source is.  As others have suggested, if its coming from the roof then its there where you need to fix things.  If not, then a good waterproofing application should help.  Do note to do this ASAP as it may affect other things.  Be reminded its outside not inside ang application ng waterproofing ha.

Kung ganun pa in, have it checked by a professional. This used to happen a lot in my in-laws other house, kasi she had the house renovated and extended. Yung tulo pala nang gagaling sa terrace into the TV room underneath and kumaktas pa sa walls, even sa floor. i remember, tiniktik (eto yung tawag nila. lol) yung tiles sa taas and may nilagay na parang white cement yung mama. get a professional to do it kung ganun pa din. the best time is now tutal maulan para ma-check mo if effective.

Also me puno ba kayo malapit dun? check mo yung gutter baka maraming dried leaves na. this happened naman sa bahay namin.

Sis, you just moved a new house right? That should be covered pa by the developer. Water proofing on the outside wall ang katapat niyan. If it is coming from the roof, then water proofing sa roof :)

mga sis and bro..thanks for the inputs. yes 3weeks palang kami sa new house namin and since manila day nung friday, pumunta ako sa office ng developer to ask if pwede ko pa siya ipaayos sakanila since kalilipat lang naman namin at wala pa nagagalaw sa walls..ayun,pinapunta ako sa engineering and ang sabi pupuntahan daw nila pag gumanda ang panahon to put something (hehe nakalimutan ko yung sinabing ilalagay) try ko muna sakanila kasi parang buong side ng bahay yung nagleleak but i guess hindi sya from roof kasi hindi naman siya talaga from top nagbabasa pero papacheck ko narin para sure.

but just in case hindi asikasuhin agad ni developer, pwede din po ba yung prods na yon kahit yung wall e may design and hindi talaga flat lang? salamat po ulit

Forgot na maaring under warranty pa yan home mo.  Do inquire with the developer on that.  You can definitely fix it on your own provided you have the materials and equipment for it.  Just make sure you first check anong expiry ng mga items you are to use.  And seal it really well kung may matira pa although it may be best to first check anong size ng problem before you buy materials para walang masayang dahil tumigas or expired after.

Ito lang naman as payong from someone who does repairs rin.  Mas ideal yun mga products which starts with an E than with a V.  Yun latter hindi kumakapit ng mabuti.

Kapag hindi flat wall mo that may be a problem kasi hindi mapapasok yun mga ilang parts.  Not unless you use a spray type of approach which I don't know kung mayroon.  Maybe yun mga elastomeric paints na touted to be water sealants of sorts pero yun isang nabili ko na medyo mas mahal pa sa Boysen hindi naman tumatagal - well, as how I compared it sa hardware near us.  Sun and something siya.

Hi, euqihn18.

I'll speak from what experience I know ha.  Least would be your things would get wet.  Next yun lalambot yun material(s) affected.  Maybe not the wall kaagad but definitely something. Another factor to consider ay yun wirings and plumbings.  Well, sa ngayon naman mga PVC na gamit and naka-electrical tubes na yun sa wiring naman.  Hope though the seal was properly done.

Ang isa sa mga possible consequences ay kapag medyo basa or a bit more of that ay it plays host to a lot of unwanted insects.  Ipis, termites, bulate, etc.

Another na nakakainis na nakakatakot ay yun seepage may go near or towards an electrical outlet, appliance, etc.  Yun mas delikado.

I can't say na rumurupok agad yun semento but definitely lumalala yun problem per my personal experience.  Our home in Makati kasi roofdeck and room ko pa affected then.

how much po ba ang magpa water proof? i have a friend who suggested superthoroseal ata yun or just simply thoroseal. is it paint type or cement type? mga magkano po ang macocover for let say 10 meters long and 2 meters high wall?

wala naman kaming problem sa walls, maliban na lang if super lakas ng ulan, may tumatagas na. and since I am alarmed with the fact na possible ang corrosion ng mga steel bars, I want to protect the house rather than solve any problems it will give me in the long run.

please share naman mga sisses

Hi, jarjarbinks.

Medyo mahal nga lang but you mix it with water then apply it.  Syempre, follow the instructions.  Hindi ko lang alam how many you'll need for that kind of area pero mayroon yun sa label niya.

Isa maglinis then another applies the waterproofing.

Hindi lang ako updated sa other options but definite na okay yun thoroseal na waterproofing.  Back in the old days ay asphalt ang gamit which you only see in old homes and buildings nowadays.

Forgot to add.  May it be DIY or paying someone to do it ay make sure bantayan ninyo. Make sure rin yun drainage ninyo is more than sufficient and medyo lagyan mo ng block or raise the door para kapag naging "swimming pool" yun roofdeck ay hindi papasok agad sa loob ng bahay yun tubig.  Kung malabo ito magawa ay make sure you have lots of basahan to plug the bottom part of the door when it rains a lot.

Kung may plants kayo sa roofdeck make it a point rin to clean the place often as yun dead leaves at dirt will clog up the drain.

 :( woried..woried..woried  ??? but, thanks again master ch @_@

Hi, euqihn18.

Is your home using a circuit breaker na?  Hope the breakers are of good quality rin.

I do our electricals rin - ha ha, halata bang jack of all trades but sadly hindi ko pa rin ma-fix ang ride namin as walang time (and resources).

Focus on that part AFTER checking all switches and outlets.  Sometimes kasi ang source ng tagas ng tubig is far from there - per experience.  Habol mo lang muna at this time is to see if may possibility of shorts.  This is where you must focus kapag malakas ang ulan and tiyakin the breakers will trip or can easily be turned off when needed.

I can't go deeper as not sure kung bihasa ka sa electricals but if you are ay syempre turn off mo muna yun kuryente sa breaker then open up the socket/switch.  Okay lang na may konting discolorations but check for signs na nabasa - a good flashlight will come in handy here.

You can also use a multi-tester to check for signs of shorts pero mas matrabaho ito though.

Do make kulit the developer a bit.  He he, hindi rin masama na you ask for divine intercession on this matter.  Kung yun mga nagkakaproblema sa mga ayaw magbayad ng utang were quite happy with that advise ay equally rin here :)

sis CityHunter, thank you. Yes, I might go with thoroseal. kulay grey is 515 pesos per gallon. medyo pricey ang white kasi ang white eh more than 550pesos per gallon.
