Scars
« on: April 26, 2011, 02:43:14 pm »
Hi guys, I'm new here and I noticed that the thread for scars was already locked. Anyway, if there are existing threads, feel free to merge or give the link :)

Anyway, my main problem is I have a burn scar on my leg, and after I got that burn mark it seemed like I gained a lot of scars on my legs so I am really embarrassed to wear shorts/dresses, no matter how hot it is.

Are there ointments? Specific treatments? Lotions? Creams?

I've used:
sebo de macho - no effect
3 whitening creams given by 2 different dermatologists - no effect
VNM bikini bomb and cpc+g - no effect

and it seems like whitening lotions/creams don't work on me.

I also have a scar sa legs, got that when I was hit by a sharp coral. I've used a lot of creams and all are expensive - one came from derma costs 2k per tube, then contractubex and the last one was dermatix. Nothing worked to lighten the scar (in fairness contractubex is really good to smoothen the scar and avoid bumps or keloid) as in hindi nawala yung darkness. And so I tried Maxipeel #3, amazingly it worked, really! Gulat talaga ko, nalighten talaga yung scar and pawala na sya and am so happy!!! 13 pesos lang pala makakalighten ng scar ko :)
i would love to love you like you do to me....

sis, itry mo yung contractubex or dermatrix! meron sa mercury nyan.

I have a big keloid scar on my tummy from two CS operations and one other operation, plus a big scar near my navel for a surgery to take out a mole.  My ob-gyne used to inject steroid on the scar from the CS operations to flatten it.  That was effective but I found out that it's more effective if you take a laser treatment. For my keloid scars, I needed about four sessions.  After the scar is flattened, you can try to apply pure, unrefined shea butter on it.  Pure unrefined shea butter is effective in fading scars if diligently applied.

^ hmm in my experience sis natanggal ng contracubex yung old scars ko sa legs, old pimple scars, at mga cat scratches. pero 2x to 3x ako nag aapply religiously, kelangan nakaligo na ako bago ako mag lalagay.

ayun shempre hindi over night miracle, tiyagaan talaga. since mas mura yung contractubex (600 php plus ata) yun nalang try mo, yung dermatrix kasi mas mahal so next time nalang yun. yung contractubex na yun ay would last up to 6 months or more pa nga eh. bali pinch lang ang pag lagay tapos i-rub mo gently in circular motion sa skin para ma-absorb talaga ng skin.

nag-try din ako ng maxipeel #3 before, that time bago pa lang yung scar ko,dahil sa pigsa ko. pero di sya effective sakin, nagpi-feel lang yung skin around the scar, pero maitim pa rin yung scar ko.
more than 1 year na rin me gumamit ng cebo de macho, sobrang wala din effect.

sis try mo gamitin kojie-san soap on your legs. concentrating on the burned area. if kaya mong tiisin yung stinging sensation, leave it on for 3 minutes. then buy skingent #3 ng hortaleza md. you can buy this sa hbc stores. according to the label u only use it at night. pero kasi it was formulated na magamit sa face but its very VERY potent. so since sa legs mo naman gagamitin which has a thicker skin than your face, i suggest you apply it 3 times a day. once in the morning, once in the afternoon, and once before you sleep. use the kojie-san at least twice a day. avoid scratching kasi makati yan once magstart na magdry your skin. pero most likely maglighten ang scar mo jan. my pimple scars na sobrang dark sa face ko nawala na because of that so wala naman mawawala if you try. :) be sure to use lotion after kasi drying yan. good luck!

Careful sa mga peeling or exfoliating agents kasi minsan mas lalong nagdadarken yung scars..
I tried Contractubex, Sebo De Macho, Palmer's, and lots of bleaching creams from dermas..hindi naglilighten yung mga old scars ko..so im thinking, baka may kailangang procedure na dito..its depressing..i cant wear shorts or dress above the knee kahit super init..parang andumi dumi tignan kasi ng legs.. Anong procedure ba for old scars?    :(

Nagka chicken pox kasi last March.

Halos 2wks on and off ko pa lang sya ginagamit, kasi minsan nakakalimutan ko.

And to my surprise, nakaka lighten nga. :)
