« on: April 05, 2011, 03:13:04 am »
mga sis when do you think is the best time to resign and why?
ako kasi dapat atleast two years para maganda record pero pag hindi na talaga kaya ganon katagal atleast 1year. Most of the time reason ko why i resign eh dahil sa boredom.

kayo mga sis? share naman.

nangangati na kamay ko kasi gumawa ng RL kaya lang ala pa akong one year sa work ko  ;D

the best time to resign --> when your not happy anymore..  ;) hmm alam mo yung feeling na ambigat ng pakiramdam mo pag papasok ka.. hindi ka excited pmasok.. boredom - not necessarily kasi pwede bored ka lang dahil paulit ulit ginagawa mo.. or walang excitement.. basta kung feeling mo hindi kana masaya and hindi ka na productive.. thats the best time na mag resign.. regardless kung years or months pa lang.. kasi kailangan mo mahanap yung work na masaya ka talaga(work and co-workers), love mo yung ginagawa mo at productive ka..  ;D

^^ tama...

Ako, I'm super bored narin with my work. And I am planning to resign late this year. Pero of course I'm still thinking about it kasi I have a family na and I need to make sure na [textspeak!] lilipatan ko is far way better that my currentjob.

I suggest you weight things first. Ask yourself why you are getting bored with your job. Think first kasi baka may other ways pa naman para di ka ma bored.  =)

hmmm in my case, I am happy with my work PERO gusto ko pa mas challenging MORE WORK and HIGHER SALARY, maganda ang working environment, ok ang mga officemates ko, ang manager namin, I am one of the noted employees, lagi may recognition kaso walang promotion, 4 years na ako ... I don't want to leave but LONG TERM I feel I'll not be able to grow and be secured financially...

Is there a specific time of the year na pwede magresign, I heard that before from a friend, September - December.. well anyway sana ma-promote...
ღ Eventually all the pieces will fall into place... until then laugh at the confusion & live for the moment...

For me, the best time to resign is not when you're bored. Why? Coz in every job, at one point or another, it will really get boring lalo na kung gamay na gamay mo na ang ginagawa mo. I resign only when I am not satisfied anymore with what my company is giving me, whether it's salary, responsibilities, challenges, learning opportunities, etc. It should be a two-way process. Satisfied sila sa nakukuha from you and ganun ka din. If there is a disparity, try to work on it. If it's not workable, resign.

For me, I don't resign when I'm "down". Once I decide that I want to resign, I give my best efforts para when I resign they'll "miss" me. LOL. I also don't resign na walang better opportunity waiting for me. I know I can be replaced by my old company. Ayoko na mukha akong kawawa after ko magresign, no. So I always make sure I have a better job lined up after I quit.

1 month before mag-end ang benefits. LOL. Para wala na babayaran after. And pag may bago na ikaw na trabaho na papasukan.

based on experience, i resigned after my boss gave me false promises about promotion and salary appraisal. it's been 3 years, enough na yun, baka mas lalo pa nila akong abusuhin if i stayed.

best time to resign? crunch time! toxic month.
knowing that the team struggled after i left, i dont regret every single day na jobhunting ako  ;D

Resign when you know that your current job will not make you happy and you know what will.  Don't resign on a whim.  Make sure you have a plan.

the best time to resign is if you have a plan B.

better if you have a new job.  Kung wala, at least something or a sideline na kumikita ka at may pumapasok na pera sa iyo while jobhunting.

don't resign on a whim, or because you are bored.  kasi if parang routine na lahat, you can always approach your boss for new tasks.

pero i understand people who resigned kasi super stressed na sila.  Been there.  Nagkakasakit ako that time dahil sa sobrang stress at sobrang toxic ng new project ko.  I resigned that time kahit wala pa akong bagong work.  Pero kaya lang naman malakas ang loob ko that time e may pondo ako to sustain me while jobhunting.  After ko magresign, nag-out of town talaga ako for ilang days para mag-destress.  Tsaka i remember na disturbed pagtulog ko that time kasi lagi nagigising ako na may masakit.  Yun pala dahil sa stress.

Now, if you are asking for specific months, pansin ko maraming tawag for interview kapag last quarter na.. Pero sabi kahapon ng isang officemate ko sa dati kong company (na dito din pala lumipat sa nilipatan ko), its better daw kapag first quarter.

tomorrow will be my last day at work.

thanks sa mga advices mga sisses. Maraming factor ng pagresign ko. Not just dahil bored na ako sa work pero mas dahil sa tawag ng pagiging isang ina ;)

Wala akong back up plan dahil sadly lahat ng supposedly back up plan ko eh pumalpak pero no turning back na kasi andito na ako. sad lang ako kasi last minute ko na narealize na mali ako..LOL

pero i'm crossing my fingers and praying hard na this will turn out to be good pa din naman kasi if there's any consolation I'm going to get with all this eh yun magiging bonding momets ko w/ my son and maalagaan ko na sya ng mabuti at maturuan ko sya ng mga things he should know at his age. sobrang guilty working mother kasi ako ;)

the best time? good question...ako feeling ko firing bells is just around the corner i might as well make the right decision to quit first..

don't know if it's paranoia but i feel left out & not trusted anymore...what's frustrating is i can't remember doing anything to earned this treatment. My extra allowance on seniority was suddenly taken back but i let it passed that up. I am being passed up for someone new na...she's the go-to girl now of my boss..this,i let it slide again since she's also responsible with her work though sometimes not sensitive to fellow workers feelings. Then another responsibility was taken out from me without any notification @ all. Just in-your face announcement during an emergency company meeting...i feel every actions i make is being weigh-in as like..am i contributing enough?....and now every little details stresses me out na as if anytime they're gonna say.."can't you take all the hints???"

sucks!why i'm still here? in this tough times its not that easy to just resign without any back-up to fall back to while looking for other options. Bills are still gonna stay and i'm footing them mostly...sad, but this is my story... :(

and i'm just hoping i'll get through this....

...I was afraid to get hurt,
       to be rejected again
          but there i landed
           & don't know how
                to stop the pain...

the best time to resign is when you feel you're not growing anymore. When you're not learning. When you feel you're stagnant. At this point of time, yes you need to be flexible with your work/career but at least you need to have goal para you won't be lost.
2 weeks na lang and it would be my last day, all with pending applications.
I didn't want to pero sa company kasi namin you have to render 60 days notice. Even if you apply for a job and they ask your availability then most of the openings are urgent, they will put you aside.
So i took risk para umaandar na and if may maging successful sa applications at least i have a definite date of my availability.

after 1year and 3months in the company... now I'm planning to cut my service to them...

I want to know something about the legality about how to resign and what I need to expect?

the benefits I received from them was the 13th month pay which I received at the end of the year...

*I am not given a Sick Leave benefits where all of my co-employees which is oldies to that company received a 5-day SL converted to cash...
*my wife gave birth last January and they did not honor me a 7-day leave... where my absences that time was deducted to my salary... (were Married so I think i am qualified for the Paternity Leave)
*I also found out that my philhealth, pag ibig, and sss were 1st paid last Oct 2010... but i been deducted from april 2010 until now....

I am not expecting that they will give my separation pay for i am resigning...

need your advice and suggestions thanks mga sisses... :D

Hi cruxito,

LeLet's go through your questions one by one.

1. Legality - check your contract.  Normally you'd need to give 30-days notice to your supervisor.  Not necessarily a 30-day rendering period.

2. You are entitled to a pro-rated 13th month pay for 2011.

3. Check your contract re SL conversion - there are benefits which are given to tenured employees only.

4. You are entitled to the paternity leave (with pay) subject to the presentation of documents and proper notification made.

5. Write a letter inquiring about the status of your contributions (say, for example, you will be applying for a loan, or will be availing of the benefit.

6. Separation pay - unless there is a provision in your contract, you are not entitled to any.

You may wish to file a complaint at the nearest DOLE office or the NLRC.  You may also file a report with SSS, PAG-IBIG and PHILHEALTH for non-remittance (or delayed remittance).

The best time to resign is when you have another work pending-given the premise na you need money agad. But for me, I had forced savings kase since I started being in this company, so after so many years-I already have forced savings of more than 100k (small but can sustain me for months after resigning).

Also if time lang pinaguusapan, i would like to resign by december. When I get my 13th month pay, when it will be vacation soon and its year end. Then you start January with a different hehe :)

Actually thats my plan,haha :)
