All about: Human Resources Jobs
« on: March 01, 2011, 12:39:09 AM »
All companies have HR departments or if not, a group or a division which supports an organization's HR needs. Being a soon to be graduate of HR, I'm in a dilemma right now on what industry to choose in my first job. I've applied to two companies already and I was surprised that they offered me a contractual job offer. The second company, however, are giving me second thoughts if I will pursue my application or not due to having a training ground for my future applications. Anyway, any industry or company in particular that offers jobs with regularization for entry level positions and for fresh graduates? And, what's your take in contractual job offers? Thank you! :)

Parang gusto ko yung work ng HR  :) Kaso di ako qualified, IT student ako eh.
I'm no good in programming nga lang, lol.

Okay lang ba yun, may chance ba na ma-hire? Hehe.

I took up BS Psychology. 2 yrs na ko s call center industry..this is my first job after college graduation.  But now I am worried because I do not have experience yet in this field (HR).

breadwinner pa ko..so mas makakabuhay yun sweldo ko as a call center agent kesa basic salary ng hr assistant (entry level ). besides, 25 years old na ko..mostly, what they are looking for yun age ranging from 20-25.

nag-try ako sa jobstreet..kaso dami ko aspiring applicants. lagi pa ko nakakreceive ng notifications that I failed and I am nit qualified for the position..nakaka-frustrate din..

di ka pa man na-iinterview..unsuccessful na agad..
this is who I am and i dont owe you an explanation..

Hi, are you still interested to work as HR? I believe may openings na ngayon, specifically sa IT companies, na they call as IT Recruiter or Technical Recruiter. It's an HR job kasi part siya ng recruitment, and as the job title says magrerecruit ka ng IT people :) Some companies consider IT people for this job kasi mas alam nila yung qualifications para sa post :)

Hi I have a friend who is looking for another job. She is pretty good at communicating with people. The problem is that she is the only HR personnel in our company. So from recruiting, to payroll and all other HR jobs, she handles it all. Yet the company is only considering  her as an HR Assistant, when in fact there's no supervisor nor manager handling her.

I really want to help her find a job that could give her a very good competitive summary. Any suggestions please?

Thanks! :)
They keep saying the right person will come along, I think mine got hit by a truck.

^ Hi sis. Try signing up for online job boards like Jobsreet or JobsDB. There are many job ads there for HR. Most of the ads include job descriptions which may be useful for finding the right work for your friend. :) There are still many options for job hunting but this one's the most common, IMO :)

Lumalawak na ang sakop ng HR dito sa Pilipinas. Aside from IT kasi, nagkakaroon na rin HR processes na outsourced dito sa Pilipinas.

I handle HR systems. I program them pero with my new company, ako nagma-manage ng system. Pahinga muna sa coding.

Meron din mga employees na naghahandle ng compensation and benefits. Magandang career to and sobrang in-demand ngayon. You won't be dealing with employees but you'll be dealing with the organization's decision makers.

Yung contract mo within ng project implementation. Wala namang masama sa contractual employment. Hindi nga lang kasing secure ng regular employment pero if you want experience, you can grab it. Just make sure na ma-bui-build mo yung profile mo during your stay.

I agree with you. And aside from that, IMO, unti-unti nang naaaccpet ng corporate world ang Strategic HR system, and not just the plain old traditional admin stuff.

ganon, choosy..hehe.

saan ka naman na nagwork ngayon?

@chris_mend..ano ka ba! don't lose hope! puede ka pa namang magtry, diba?

but you also have to determine kung saang field ka talaga nagfi fit in. kahit kasi bs psyche graduate ka kung mas effective ka sa customer service or sales, e di doon ka! siguro pinalad lang ang iba na makakuha ng job na related sa course nila but it doesnt mean naman na lesser ang qualifications mo ano.
