EPILATOR vs WAXING
« on: February 28, 2011, 03:48:32 pm »
ano mas prefer niyo? EPILATOR or WAXING?

may gumagamit ba dito ng Epilator? anong brand gamit niyo (how much?) and san kayo nakabili? im planning to buy one rather than going to salon for waxing. hassle kasi and too expensive for me. TIA!  ;D

i use panasonic epilator for my underarms and moustache lol.  SGD 29.90 ang bili ko.  it's very efficient and useful.  i just use tweezers to remove stray hairs after.  the downside of using epilator is that occasionally, i get ingrown hair. :(

for my arms and legs, i use beauty formula wax strips.

i've heard that you can prevent ingrown hairs by exfoliating. i needed this Epilator so badly. wala kasing masyadong time para magpunta sa salon at magpawax. and comparing the money you'll spend on the salon monthly vs this product db? ayoko ng bumalik sa shaving ang kati tapos pagkashave mo ng gabi kinabukasan pag gising mo may tumubo na kagad! haha

gusto ko rin mag try ng epilator kaso mahal ata. DIY waxing lang kasi ako ng UA ko, so sa hatinggabi ko sya ginagawa pagkatapos ko maligo. minsan nakakatamad kasi ang tagal magpainit.

i bought my braun epilator for $50.00 almost 6 years ago! ;D still works really well, you just have to keep it clean from the oils from the skin in order for it to be most effective in pulling up those unsightly hairs. I use it on my pits and legs. it works better for me on the legs because there aren't any weird angles like in the pit area, but i manage to get 98% of the hair from my pits by changing positions  ;D the other 2% is left for the tweezers. Best part about an epilator is that it takes me about 10 minutes to do both legs, so its efficient on time, AND with an epilator is that there is NO mess. No sticky residue, no lengthy clean up, no scrubbing your skin to get the goop off. hope this helps  ;)

I love my braun silk epil 7 epilator. bought it on ebay for USD 90. a bit pricey but considering the amount of time and efficiency ng product, sulit talaga. saka mas magagastusan pa ako na papunta punta sa salon, while my epilator is right at home na, anytime magagamit ko.

Dati problema ko talaga hair ko sa legs. lagi ako nakapants kasi nako-conscious ako sa leg hairs ko, ngayon hindi na at all. Kasi I epilate it anytime i see na tumutubo na ulit.

90USD + 24USD (shipping fee) = 114USD = 5k. if you buy it here in the Philippines, 5k eh nasa older model pa ng braun silk epil. mine is silk epil 7 na.

i've heard that you can prevent ingrown hairs by exfoliating.

thanks for the tip. :)  whenever i see ingrown hair starts to develop, i exfoliate it.  after 2-3 days, natatanggal naman siya.

sulit talaga ang panasonic epilator ko.  i've had it for almost 2 years already.  i bought it for only SGD 29.90 (about 1K when converted to peso).

Strip it for wax and emjoi classic epilator 1699 sa rustans ko nabili, 2006 pa at napaka ayos pa din ngayon.=D

^same concern with momotakeshi... I'm planning to use this on my ua and legs, kaso ang worry ko baka tumigas yung mga hairs ko sa legs. I heard emjoi is a good brand, and eto din gamit ni Pursebuzz.

i got my remington epilator as a gift from my cousin in the States. wireless sya pero it comes with a charger kaya super dali lang. masaya siya gamitin kasi wala ng mga rituals like heating the wax or preparing the strips. kailangan lang fully charged. I believe there are also epilators available in Shangrilia mall, Rustan's department store. Medyo may kamahalan lang pero worth it din in the long run.
