Thanks for sharing, sis a.k.a. HELGA. Mukhang we'll opt to ride Ohayami.

Hoping for good weather!

I love sagada. Been there a lot of times nung wala pa ako baby but now na mommy na ako natatakot na ako pumunta. Grabe kasi yung bangin, super taas.

Please help us narrow down our choices. Alin ba dito ang best value in terms of location and rooms?

Nakalagay ito sa list ng must see ng saggas pero parang hindi masyado nababanggit dito sa thread.

We'll most probably do a 4D/3N tour in Sagada starting this weekend. Kailangan kaya pumili between Bomod-ok at Pongas Falls? Hehe. We also plan to do the cave connection.

Salamat sa suggested itinerary mo, we'll probably base ours on what you've just shared. : )

By the way, P450 na ba talaga ang dinner buffet sa Log Cabin? Ang isa pang option ay just to eat there on another night. At least, we get to save the extra P200 per head. What do you guys think?

Hehe.

@ gulaysk hi let me answer your questions since i have been to those lodges except for the sagada homestay i think this one is located going up sa papauntang log cabin and lake danum.

>>> just avoid attic room #7. the bed in not good panay spring ang kutson at lubog pa. liit ng c.r.. we kept on complaining pero wala ata silang spare ganun na talaga ewan lang sa other rooms.

Pinagpipilian namin ang GGE/GGE Annex, Residential Lodge, Kanip-aw at Sagada homestay. Please help us narrow down our choices. Alin ba dito ang best value in terms of location and rooms? --> delete the GG. forget it.
Residential lodge has a good location and rooms it is also accesible to many restaurants and shops for souvenir hunt. ang lapit lang nya sa yoghurt house, saggas office, cafe bana, salt and pepper etc. the owner, mary daoas is such a cool tita to everyone she entertain her guest always with a smile and free unlimited coffee pa sa kanya.  i think p250 pa din sa comoon c.r.  ang daming nagbook sa lodge nya kaya minsan nag rumble na sa booking so make sure maayos ang usapan and indicate nyo ilan nights kayo. kamustahin mo nalang ako ke tita mary just in case dyan kayo mag book :)

>>> kanip-aw lodge own by oscar magliwang first street pakaliwa after lemon pie house. may small street dun na papasok may big signage makikita nyo sa pa kaliwa same way rin yan sa papaunta GGAnex. malinis sa kanip-aw i like it there it also has good mountain view mababait ang mag asawang magliwang :) pakamusta nalang din kamo refer ni queenie heheh

Salamat sa inputs mo re the inns. Thanks again for sharing your feedback. : )

I also inquired with Log Cabin. The rate for their guest room is P800 per night (2 pax).

Thanks again, queens. Ikakamusta kita kina Sir Oscar. : )

by the way kung takot kang malamigan sa bus you may wear socks  and scarf for your neck yan kasi unang pinapasukan ng lamig :)

Re: Log Cabin buffet, when the chef "whips up something special" (quoted from the sms I received from them on the the higher rate) the buffet costs 450. Usually pag Saturday buffet ito. Sis msclgrey correct me if I am wrong ha. It is still the regular rate for the Sunday buffet but the only do Sundays when there are lots of tourists around. Nagpareserve ako but then did not push through because I am a light eater lang naman.

^Good thing you mentioned that they sometimes have a Sunday buffet. Will just ask hubby if he's eager to try the buffet at Log Cabin. Although naisip ko rin, when going to Sagada, one must really try the food there kahit once man lang. So we'll just have to decide between having the buffet or just eating there on a regular night. Thanks foruiz!

we'll go here sa may 18. super lamig pa din ba this month dito? i have read sa mga ibang travel blog, light jacket lang daw ang dalin.

anyway, i'd like to ask ano ba yung mga kailangan dalin kung magpunta dito? and what clothes to wear during the tour? shorts? pants? jogging pants? etc.

TIA!

Also, trekking ba ang gagawin from Kiltepan to Marlboro? Approximately ilang oras 'to?

Drop nalang siguro muna namin ang Pongas Falls. Next time nalang kapag bumalik kami.

Yung pagpunta sa Bomod-ok, commute nalang siguro kami to save on transpo.

         pm: Cave Connection

may 4, 8:30 pm, cable tours bus ang sinakyan namin near trinity university of asia manila to bontoc. then sumakay kami ng jeep from bontoc to sagada.

Been to Sagada last May 5-7. Sobrang saya. :P

:) We tried all the restaurant sa center like masferre (don't know kung tama spelling ko  :P), lemon pie house, salt and pepper and lucky's shanghai house. we gonna try sana yoghurt house pero nagbago isip namin. hehe we also went to Gaia, parang kubo sya na mataas na kita mo na ang rice terraces. may zipline din na inooffer malapit sa Gaia. Medyo adventurous talaga kami ang we went down para malapitan namin ang rice terraces. upclose and personal sa rice terraces ang drama!  ;Dhehe btw, nilakad lang namin lahat yan from misty lodge to Sagada town proper until Gaia to appreciate the place  :) nakauwi na kami sa lodge mga 8pm. madilim since walang ilaw sa kalsada pero you can feel na safe ka dun. natuwa naman kami ahit hindi nasunod itinerary namin. sobrang sakit kasi ng mga katawan naman kaya naisip namin na baka hindi namin kayanin ang mt.ampacao. hehe

May 7, we got up early kasi sunrise in kiltepan ang drama namin.  :) nilakad nalang nmin from misty lodge. btw, si kuya sotero pala ang tour guide namin. very accommodating si kuya sotero! :) nag cave connection kami wag daw mahiya kung tapakan namin sa hita at balikat sya. i recommend kuya sotero from saggas.  ;)

12:30 pm uwian na. lizardo bus from sagada to baguio. then victory liner from  baguio  to cubao.

Ito plano naming itinerary. Ano tingin niyo?

Day 1 am: Arrive at Sagada, lunch and rest
         pm: Cave Connection

Day 2 am: Bomod-ok Falls
         pm: Mt. Ampacao-Lake Danum

Day 3 am: Kiltepan-Marlboro
         pm: Echo Valley/Hanging Coffins/Small Falls/St. Mary's

Day 4 am: Breakfast, shop for pasalubong, back to Manila.
depende kung everyday active kayo and may regular exercise  malakas ang resistance mo kahit first timer kaya itong i.t. mo  ;D

true, tiring talaga ang cave connectipn or you may just do the normal sumaguing cave. i doubt it on the 2nd day tiring yan trekk to big falls then trekk sa mt.ampacao in the afternoon. you may interchange day 2 and 3 .  since nakakapagod ang cave connectiion medyo relax trek muna ang gawin nyo on 2nd day. on the 3rd day larga uli sa bigfalls.

Day 1 am: Arrive at Sagada, lunch and rest
         pm: Cave Connection

Day 2 am: Kiltepan-Marlboro
pm : Lake danum - mt. ampacao

Day 2 am: Bomod-ok Falls
pm: St. Mary's / echo valley/ hanging coffin.
         pm: souvenir hunt

Day 4 am: Breakfast, shop for pasalubong, back to Manila

Though I'm willing to drop one trip. Kiltepan-Marlboro or Mt Ampacao-Lake Danum? Parang I'm leaning more on dropping Ampacao-Danum kung sakali.

Btw, we'll be staying in Kanip-aw. I already texted Perry to ask him to be our guide. Sabi niya, "wow that's too far po...that will take you approximately 2 days to do that po" LOL! Natawa talaga ako. Akala niya siguro hardcore akyat bundok ang iga-guide niya. Hehe.
