nabasa ko sa Longchamp thread that Signature Lane sells fake items pero if you check the site, nakalagay authentic daw.

TIA! :)

I bought a Longchamp bag from my officemate, sa relative nya kinuha yun, parang re-seller lang siya. Ang sabi authentic daw. Since tiwala naman ako, nag order ako. By the way, it's only Php3,950 at 2 gives pa. I'm aware na marami nang nagkalat na fake pero since kakilala, nagtiwala naman ako.

When I got the bag, I immediately checked the details. Ang ginawa nya and nung relative nya, nagpunta sila ng Longchamp boutique at Shangri-la to check out the original bags.

Although it looks REAL, I wouldn't pay P3,950 for a FAKE.

I would prefer to buy an unbranded bag rather than spend on a replica.

Bags bought at department stores are quite affordable and are durable. You just really have to look.

For those bought in stores, MNG and Zara does have nice designs. I just find MNG bags not very durable. The leather comes off after some time. I have yet to try Forever 21 bags.

I also like buying bags from Tangs in Singapore and Vincci in Malaysia. The designs are nice. The quality is good. The price is reasonable. And you do not see the same bag going around!

now she doesnt know how to unload those fake bags. halo-halo. from longchamp to jimmy choo. haha!

i'm just sharing this POV when buying from outlet stores lalo na dito sa US. most of the times, the materials differ but not too much kaya minsan when you go to the store and look at the one that you bought from the outlet store, they have different materials pero items from the outlet store are real too. it's just that the outlet stores houses the out-of-season or last season's items tapos yung ibang designer naman they really create the same design for outlet stores kaya lang the materials are different- cheaper than the ones in their own store so that they can sell it cheaper too. i love outlets because i think that i don't need to spend a lot of money for "branded" items. i'm the type that i look at the style and function first and if i like it, i'll get it at a reasonable price. if it's "branded" eh di okay, kung hindi- okay din.

question ko lang: what can you say about designers who have similar bag designs and color? case in point: michael kors travel tote medium/large and LV neverfull MM or GM? similar kasi yung designs and color pero yung kay michael kors, MK ang print sa labas and then shape and color pareho sa LV but it costs at least 1/4 of an LV. can you consider that as replica?

Naku, never ever buy replica/fake bags
nung student ako, i am not into bags naman, so, okay na okay na ako with mga girbaud, Nike, and even secosana. Hehe.

nung working na ako, that is the time i started splurging on bags. I never use fake items (mapa bag, sapatos, makeup, kahit ano pa). Besides being tacky, you are just fooling yourself :) If you are so lemming for a certain style, go to Charles and Keith nalang marami silang nice bags na luxe-looking :)

And the Classic LV Speedy, meron ang MK, Gucci, Prada, Furla at marami pang iba.
LV Speedy= Gucci Boston= Furla Candy Bag, etc.
i actually like the MK na speedy type of bag and even bought the Furla Candy kahit may LV Speedy ako and contemplating of getting the Gucci Web Boston Bag.

Then yung sa Mulberry Alexa is almost the same ng design ng Proenza Schuler (tama ba spelling??).
The oversized Patent LV Alma looks similar to YSL Muse.
Over-all, i think its ok kasi hindi lang yung mga medium price na labels ang naiinispire pati yung same level na luxury brands.

Regarding sa Michael Kors large Hamiltons, how low can this really go?

I don't really have any idea, ang hirap nito there are hardly anything that screams fake in the market but naglipana ang replicas. Kahit pa nga 1.5k, malaking pera na sa akin yun then mapupunta lang sa fake that I don't intend to buy in the first place.

^^sis, as for the MK large hamiltons personally i think it's okay kasi it's just designer inspired. from my point, i don't think it's a fake. i know it looks like the hermes bag but what i see with the hamilton is that the designer did put his name on the bag and made a twist sa handles and the lock. it would have been different kung di niya nilagyan ng name niya at nagprint ng name ng original tapos talagang i-try na gayahin buong-buo yung design.

i think also it goes with publicity too. the bigger designers like LV, prada, gucci, etc. do spend on their marketing and PR strategy to "broadcast" their items. middle range designers like coach, MK, dooney and burke, etc do have PR strategy but not as luxe as the designer stuff. actually i just learned from a friend that a real designer item is rarely seen in the market because the designer just makes at the most ten items on one design and most of these designers are just known to the elites kasi nga they don't want others to have the same items that they have and it is really exclusive. di ko alam where she got this info pero i think it makes sense din. (sorry ha, di naman talaga ako well-versed with designs and fashion kasi i just get stuff that i like and feel comfortable in basta bagay din sa akin.)

I won't go for replicas. Embarrassing when someone with knowledge of the original item sees the replica! If can't afford, no na talaga. Or try sa ukay, hihi. Pag lucky, merong super nice pa na designer bags there :D
