Id rather support something that's original and proudly made in the philippines than support counterfeit goods from china (or any other country for that matter)!

For me, never buy replica. Even the "class triple a" and things like that are just their way of making you feel like you own something expensive. but the quality will suck.

Don't force it rin. Like if this bag is expensive, but it's just a mini or something, and what you need is a school bag, then don't buy the mini. buy something that you really need, since student ka pa. in that case, you don't need an replica.:)

i agree with k_heart ...  i think ok lang naman kung inspired.. parang damit lang.. same cut pero iba materials and colors ng iba-ibang brands..

even local brands like secosana, beladonna etc..; and those that are not that expensive like mango, ninewest etc, may kaniya kaniyang version ng "speedy" "neverful" saka ng "birkin" ;D

at least yung mga bumibi nun,(like me ;D ) hindi nila kina-claim na hermes sila, lv sila or what not

Definitely AUTHENTIC.  I agree with what the others have posted. If you cannot afford the high end brands wag mo na lang muna ipilit.  Or you can save up for it for the meantime.  Sa akin kasi its better to have good quality bags kahit konti lang kaysa magse2ttle ka for replicas kahit na sabihin pa nilang class AAAAAAAAA pa yan it would still be a fake.

I'd rather buy a bag that I can afford na di fake. Although I do buy imitation Cath Kidston and mga cute Le Sport Sac bags sa GH. I just can't help myself!

sis 7teenth, orig, fake or 2nd hand man kahit ano pa yan, make sure na keri mo ang beauty at over-all get up mo. :D

It's not just about carry mo or hindi, IMO. In my case, I place high value on the artisanship or craftsmanship of an item. For some people, it is like appreciating art or how much love and skill that went into an item. I-compare natin sa artwork. Why are orginal artworks expensive... Say, the Last Supper by Da Vinci vs mass produced stuff? Because the orginal was made with precise set of skills, technique, and took time to finish.

Some talaga buy authentic bags dahil status symbol siya. :P yun lang, sayang lang din pera mo dahil hindi mo appreciated the skill that went into your authentic bag.

Let's not reduce the argument of authentic vs replica lang to its price. There are authetic items you can get for reasonable prices if you know where to loor or of you don't mind segunda mano.

But that's OT na for this thread, I think.

but anyway, my post was in direct response dun sa question ni sis 7teenth na "what do you girls think of purchasing replica bags, like Balenciaga's na ang cute talaga ng style pero I can't afford? ", kasi kung ang naging question nya ay: "ano mas maganda or ok? authentic or replica" then definitely i would say na yung authentic...sino ba naman ang baleng magsasabi na mas maganda ang replica sa authentic??  :o  at hindi na dapat yun pinagtatalunan. kaya lang kasi ang question nya ay kung tama bang bumili ng replica or not, since she cannot afford it pa, kaya yun ang pov ko: if you cant afford them yet, then you can work around with your overall getup..and again nasa pagdadala lang yan.  ;D

Kanya kanyang opinion yun eh.

However, nakakabother yung comment niya. May pagkaracist yun notion about her dark skinned coworker. Wala na bang K mag LV porke maitim?  Eh lumpo at pilay? Wala na din K?

Imo, if ikaw priority para sa iyo ang magpaputi, o kaya ang car, meron iba na priority ay travel, or jewelries, or shoes. Siguro in the case of your coworker ay bag naman ;)

naku racist tendency nga yata :-X gustuhin ko man sumagot at magelaborate pa re: kaitiman pero out of topic na talaga at baka mas lalo lang magkalituhan sa usapan at mahigh-blood ang mga sis natin dito at mapunta pa sa iba ang topic kung uulit ulitin ko pa. ;D  im not sure if youve noticed...pero palaging may salita ng ownership ang post ko gaya ng  "for me", "kung ako", "i" or "ko" i didnt say it as a general or common rule,  i said it dahil yun ang tingin KO at sumagot AKO based on my OWN-perhaps-brutally-HONEST opinion (which is the very essence of forums - sarili mong pananaw) I NEVER said na WALA silang karapatan or K, again ang sinabi KO ay malinaw na malinaw na: "FOR ME" at "KUNG AKO" meaning to say, KUNG ako naging sila.

kung may sarili kayong opinion sa mga tao like color, size, gender pref, reflections, etc. then yun ang sa inyo (sana pala dinirecho ko na lang na panget o kaya mataba na may something sa leeg ;D nyahaha! lets just say, na kaya ko nabanggit ang salitang maitim ay BAKA in lack of a better term) so for the last time I stand by MY pov. nasa nagdadala lang talaga yan.. ;)

^ if that's your opinion then that's fine, im sure you meant well naman

Like they would rather commute carrying the latest gadget than spend that money on a car loan, trip niya yun eh, kanya kanyang trip yan at walang basagan ng trip  ;)

For me, its fine to buy designer authentic bags if you can very much afford it. Also i'd rather buy mura na authenthic than a mura na replica. What i just don't approve of is when things like paying the rent, or paying your credit card debt are ignored in favor of having such luxuries. I know someone na ganun, gucci bags, latest iphone, designer watches but puro utang and banned na sya ng credit card companies.  But hey its her life, trip nya yun eh, nakaka sad nga lang
