« on: December 27, 2010, 03:55:00 PM »
i got so bored this christmas holiday, esp with my 2 week vacation leave. i thought 'ang sarap magpahinga lang' but mas na stress yata ako na walang ginagawa. Hehe. Kaya i thought of starting a new hobby - bag making! started surfing the net on bag making. anyone here who makes bags as hobby lang? share share.

I used to do this before, may mga binenta pa nga akong bags :)  I started making my own patterns kasi nag-aral din ako ng sewing dati.  Maraming resources sa bookstore at sa internet, check mo na lang:

www.marthastewart.com (or try mo din yung book nya na encyclopedia of sewing, although lahat ng patterns doon nasa website naman)
www.craftzine.com
www.craftster.org

Canvas? Meron ata noon sa divisoria. I also found that cotton twill can also work pero hindi sya gaanong matigas. Sya yung parang fabric ng slacks.

Ill join, I started making eco bags for my daughter's 1st party and my son's party in school.  Got good feedbacks and then I tried producing for Christmas season.  It did well.  Got 3 sizes only.  Im into studying more so I can have more products.  From my earnings last Christmas, may pang puhunan na ko. :)

Mga Sis help naman.

I want to dye my old maong bag.

For the past few days, I was unsuccessful in searching for a store that sells fabric dye. Rit fabric dye sana.

I've tried National Bookstore (crafts section) and Ace hardware but neither of them has it.

Does anyone know where I can get one?

Thanks so much! GOD BLESS.

Hello!

Found a fabric dye, finally! :)

Nakakita ako sa National Bookstore sa Glorietta 5. Venus ang tatak at Php4.50 lang ang isang sachet (maliit lang na parang lagayan ng tinging paminta).

Same here....just started bag making last year. It's just a hobby, sometimes I give it as a gift for a friend and they really appreciate it....kinda labor of love thing as what they always say.  ;)
