i need help. we just found out na may cyst mom ko sa ovary, left and right breast after her TVU, breast ultrasound and mammogram (menopause na din siya).  according to our doctor sa Asian Hospital hindi naman daw cancerous so no need to undergo an operation. wala din binigay na gamot para mawala. i-observe lang daw and be back after 4 months. for our peace of mind, can you recommend a doctor na expert in breast cancers and the like preferably from St. Luke's or Medical City? i don't care if it's expensive, all i care about is to have a second opinion from another doctor. hindi kasi mapakali mom ko  :(

bjem- most common solid breast masses would still be benign like fibroadenoma and fibrocystic changes. The Breast ultrasound will be a big help in arriving at a diagnosis. Don't worry. Have it done.

..eto po resulta ng ultrasound ko:

The breasts show symmetry in size and parechymal echopattern
No focal lesions are detected in both breasts.
The lactiferous ducts are not distended.
The axillae are unremarkable
IMPRESSION: Unremarkable ultrasound of both breasts
BIRADS Category 1-Negative in findings
RECOMMENDATION: Annual mammographic and periodic ultrasound follow-up suggested.  Mammographic follow-up per established guidelines for age.

Hi DocShe...your opinion pls., worry-free na ba ko?...o kelangan ko pa rin ipa physical check-up ang breast ko or magpa-mamo pa?...pede ba malaman sched mo sa Clinica Manila sa Megamall..maraming salamat

^hello sis, i'm not DocShe (obvious naman  ;D) and di rin ako dra.
pero nakalagay sa results mo, unremarkable, so negative for anything bad.  ;) congrats sis! :)

eto: BIRADS Category 1-Negative in findings ---- dko alam ito.

yung recommendations, parang guideline mo lang sha na every year magpa mammogram (depende sa age) and breast ultrasound para lagi kang sure na okay ang twins mo. :)

if i remember it right, ang sched ni DocShe sa clinica manila is every wed and friday, 1-4pm. punta ka na para ma-meet mo rin si dra. :)

she'd tell you about cysts, masses, etc and matututo ka talaga sa kanya. may utang pa pala kong breast ultrasound for this year..  :-X

^32 yo nako sis  :o..ndi kya dahil sa hormones yun?!! hehe..

bjgem- Yes, you only need a Breast Ultrasound. You are still too young for mammogram. Still better to have yourself checked.
Blushydamsel- Thanks for all the kind words. Hey see you soon!

Hi Doc She,

Can i have your contact nos. or email? i have to ask you about my condition. I had my breast ultrasound here in singapore, and i will go home to ask for another doctors opinion in phils.
I am also bothered to the pain im feeling on the lower part of underarm, doctor said its the muscle and not part of the breast area. They cant see anything on that part during my breast ultrasound so i asked the technician what test she can recommend and she said go for MRI scan. I will only have limited days in the phil when i go home, so i wanted to have appointment with you and for mri scan.
Hope you read this message soon. Thanks.

Gleek-try to convince her for a yearly check up. Tell her it's better to have peace of mind since Breast cancer is very rampant nowadays.
