hi doc she i had a breast ultrasound last Thursday kasi sumasakit [textspeak!] right breast ko at feel ko na may lump nung kinakapa naman nung dr sabi wala naman baka muscle lang pero sa ultrasound may mga nakita na benign masses at no need to worry daw. minsan sumasakit sya do i still need to worry at yun nga pag benign masses magiging malignant ba yun?

cluelessgal80- Hi! benign mass when proven by histopath will never be malignant. But there are premalignant lesions which need monitoring.

No adequate scientific proof to correlate sog and dairy products with breast cancer.

hi po doc she..ask lang po ako year 2009 po nag pa ultrasound ako since may nakakapa akong lump sa breast ko..i was breastfeeding my 5months old baby that [textspeak!]..may nakita nga pong 3 masses sa breast ko.1 sa right and 2 sa left.when i went to see a surgeon para pabasa yung result..sabi nya po, nothing to worry kasi benign naman..milk lang po daw na tumigas..balik lang daw po ako after weaning my baby..di na po ako nakabalik doc..until now nakakapa ko pa rin yung lump..

planning to take saw palmetto and fenugreek po sana for breast enhancements..nabasa ko kasi ok daw un..

makaka affect ba yun sa masses na nakita sa akin doc even if herbal ang saw palmetto and fenugreek?

ijael- I suggest you have another breast ultrasound to monitor the breast masses seen before and consult the surgeon.

doc she i stopped breastfeeding 2 months ago ( nagpa breastfeed ako for 1 year 5 months)...kahapon po nung nag breast exam ako when i squeezed my right nipple may lumabas po na milky-like sticky discharge...normal po ba yon kahit 2 months na ko nag wean

ask ko lang p0, needed po b na 7-10 days after 1st day ng mens magpa-check ng breast? last 2009 nagpa-examine me, then yung ob advise nia na magpa-ultra sound me ng breast, may nakakapa kc me na bukol, then dun sa ultra sound wala naman nakita. then ngaun po, kumikirot yung dibdib ko, pero wala naman akong nakakapa na bukol. napaparanoid ata ko,...

mchummy- the best time to do your breast ultrasound or breast examination is 7-10 days from 1st day of menses. Consult your Surgeonfor peace of mind!

^DocShe ok lang ba na lumagpas sa 10 days? Kasi sa Saturday pa ako makakapagpa-ultrasound if ever. That's 16 days after my first day.

joining....

since highschool days naffeel ko na yung cyst sa right breast ko, then when i turned 20 nung 2008, i decided na ipacheck-up kasi parang dikit-dikit sila. that was the first and last time na nag pa-check up ako. the doctor said na multiple cyst daw.

and the result of my ultrasound was:
Breast sonography: presence of 2 fluid filled nodules measuring 1.7x0.6cm and 2.3x0.7cm at 8 o'clock zone A and zone B of the right breast respectively. Left breast is unremarkable.

Impression: Breast nodules, cystic, multiple, right.

DocShe what can you say about the findings? di naman sumasakit nor lumalaki yung lumps. TIA.

yamo- by ultrasound looks like benign cyst but still a Physical exam by a Surgeon is advisable then correlation with the result.

i am worried po coz meron akong bukol na nakakapa sa right breast ko. matagal na po ito but hindi ko pa po napapacheck dahil natatakot po ako sa result although natatakot din po akong baka maging huli na ang lahat. tanong ko lang po mga symptoms ng breast cancer. saka how much po ba ang mammography??

hi doc she ask ko lang po about fibrocystic breast? kasi meron po nakita sa UTZ-Sept 2010 sa right breast ko solid nodules pinakita ko na po sa surgeon [textspeak!] nya di dw po worried sa case ko [textspeak!] way back 2008 ko pa po ito nakapa [textspeak!] ni doc kung 2008 pa dw ito dpt ngaun malaki na siya at kung tatanggalin daw mahirap dhil sobra liit dw po, naisip ko bka fibrocystic lang ito pero hindi naman ako hormonal imbalance. tnx po sa info

greenaholic- How old are you? Usually if patient is less than 40 years old then we do Breast Ultrasound.
