kikay_machine - re my Carrie Bradshaw purse - hehe I like the term!  ;D

marge070407 - ibenta mo kaya yun iba?  ;)

silverlilac - I believe a girl should have as many bags as she wants, AS LONG AS she can afford the bags, and she has enough space for all of them - haha, korek na korek sis!  ;)

I recently gave away parang 70% of my bags away - ganyan rin ako, namimigay ng bags kahit mga Nine West or RL binibigay ko sa helpers or relatives sa province pag naiisip ko na hindi na bagay yun bags sa lifestyle ko. Pero lately, naisip ko, instead of buying 3-4 Nine West or RL bags per year I'll just buy 1 LV bag hehe  ;D

meloids - tama ka dyan... Nun work at home mom ako, 1 bag for client meetings, 1 bag for gimmicks w/ friends, 1 backpack for travels, saka yun diaper bags ng kids hehe Pero ngayon, back to corporate world ako kaya kelangan ng bags para hindi naman madali maluma yun usual bags ko lol  ;D

my inventory:

I own:
10 tote bags
3 harabas bags (pag mag divisoria  ;D )
1 laptop bag
1 gym bag
2 backpacks
2 trolley bags for traveling
1 small sling bag for travel essentials when making pasyal
5 pouchbags for toiletries and make up when travelling
1 make up case
1 camera bag
5 sparkly evening bags

at least those are the ones I remember I have kasi yung iba hindi na ginagamit, napagkalumaan na mga nakaplastic sa bodega sa old house namin. aside from how much you can afford, important din siguro yung lifestyle mo. For me I get only those I need.

depende talaga to sa lifestyle mo sis eh. but talking as a necessity per se, dapat merong for work, for formal events, for travel, for going out (like small fashionable versatile hand/shoulder bags), a backpack (this always comes in handy from time to time, so for me it's a necessity).

but i love bags LOL. basta carry ng budget, ay buy lang ng buy haha! but those are the basics i think kung nagsisimula ka palang to invest on bags. buy those high quality ones. make it an investment. buy those classic elegant ones na di mahirap i-mix and mach so you can make the most out of them =)

it depends but for germaphobes who know that bags can get really icky and mighty germ collectors, it's advisable/ hygienic to  replace handbags every 6 months for the ones you regularly use especially for those who love putting their bags on the floor, public bathroom sinks and practically anywhere else. they do harbor a lot of germs and bacteria so imagine what you end up taking home for a free ride.

napakahirap yata sagutin nito =)
ideally 6 bags siguro: 2 for office, 1 weekend, 1 overnight, 1 cocktail, 1 luggage
pero knowing us mga girls... malamang as long as we can afford ang drama natin over over pa dyan ang count ng bags natin hehe

i read somewhere that a woman only needs to own 7 bags which are the following:
1. tote/ hobo
2. handbag
3. laptop bag
4. purse/ evening clutch
5. overnight bag
6. luggage

forgot the 7th bag.. but i think this article was written by a man..  :)
in my opinion a woman can have as many bags as she wants as long as she can afford it! =)

We shouldn't even count ... hehe! Our needs change, and so, there will always be a reason why we should buy more bags :)

I am not really into bags. Hirap ako magpapalit-palit. I want my things in one place para wala ako nakakalimutan.
But as our other sisses here say, as long as you can afford it, you can buy as many as you want and it really depends on your lifestyle. If you always go out, dapat you have bags to match your outfits. If you are into travelling, dapat may backpack ka or carry-on luggage and the stroll luggage.
Just make sure you buy bags of good quality (it does not mean expensive) and you can afford it. There are people kasi they will buy designer bags even though they really can't afford it. They will use their credit cards and ayun nababaon sa utang just to have the bag they wanted. That also goes for other things.  ;)

i think every woman has the right to own as many bags as she wants to! :) this applies to shoes as well since shoes and bags are like mac and cheese. anyway, as long as it suits your budget and you believe you need it, buy it! look for sturdy and handy bags though, not just brands. i like longchamp because it can carry all my essentials and it goes well with a simple jeans and shirt outfit. think of it as an investment (which, they really are) and really, a woman can't have too many bags, right?  ;D so go ahead sister, indulge! ;)

For me it all boils down to what a bag does to you.  For some reason, it usually uplifts your self confidence and esteem.  I was not particular about bags before, but when I got into the "signature" trap...that's where my "addiction" came in.  Gave away mango, zara, guess, ninewest bags...got 3 LVs, 3 cambridge to replace...its not making yabang about the bags, but how it makes me feel while carrying them...which is HAPPY  ;D

IMHO, it doesnt matter how many bags you own, as long as you can afford to buy one, then go -- thats if you are a bag collector. :) Pero kung hindi naman, buy bags according to which you can maximize the use of, consider the size, versatility ng color and style and comfort pag bitbit mo.

Pero one important thing you have to consider is : Make sure you know how to maintain (cleaning before storing) and use your bags properly (dont overload your bag since it will lose its shape even with base shapers) especially if you are into designer ones, para mamaximize mo its value.

Im guilty of overloading bags before, but nung nakita ko how fast my first designer bag deteriorated, ayun, I started to be extra careful when using my bags, even sa storage, meron pa kaming checklist and scheduling ng pag-check and linis sa kanila.

I also dont buy handbags anymore, if ever I buy those, I make sure theyre the ones that come with shoulder straps, for convenience nalang, kasi its easier to carry shoulder bags than handbags especially when you would go malling, medyo inconvenient na automatic nang parang disabled yung isang arm/hand mo, medyo nakaka-ngawit rin isabit sa arm especially pag medyo heavy na.

I have a few collections of handbags.  I think I have more than 10 bags.
Kapag napapasyal kasi sa mall or department store, hindi pwedeng
hindi dadaan sa ladies handbags department :)

A woman has a fascination with purses, shoes, and jewelry.
