anong mga insect repelling plants and pwede itanim sa bahay/small deck? yung pwede sa pots. gusto ko kase sana ng wall garden kumbaga mga potted plants tapos nakahang sila sa wall. gusto ko maglagay ng herbs and flowers and sana yung mga herbs and flowers mga insect repellants din especially sa lamok

I've read that citronella (or its "katas") repels mosquitoes. Plan ko din mag pa tubo nito eh

The best and effective is Neem Tree, we have those in front and back area of our house, if brown out sa amin at kahit wala kaming screen doors and windows at open lahat ng doors walang mosquito sa loob ng house namin.

i recently purchased potted geranium & citronella. don't know lang if it's really effective. ay basta, inuwi ko sila.

In our place effective ang neem tree, we have it both sa front and our back yard, we do not have any screen sa doors or windows, and I noticed lang na walang lamok sa amin once na nag black out sa amin at naka open lahat ng doors at window, walang lamok, so I guess effective.

My Aunt in BKK planted neem trees. Dun mismo nakatambay mga lamok. 0_o [textspeak!] kaya yun?! Mutant skeeters?

lemongrass or tanglad plant potent din kaya? kasi di ba yung oil nito hinahalo din sa mosquito repellant lotion.

eucalyptus plant pwede din. hindi ko nga lang alam kung madaling maghanap nito.

Yep, neem trees work very well. You buy them in pots, and they can thrive in pots, too. Lalaki lang naman sya if you plant them in wide spaces eh.

Bought ours from Manila seedling bank, along Agham road in QC. But they run out of stocks quickly, though. I remember going back every week for four weeks, wala pa rin.

i've read in another forum that neem tree does not repel mosquito per se. you need to extract the oil from its leaves. nabasa ko din from another website na hindi pa napoprove sa research na yung tree itself can repel mosquitoes. kailangan pang may gawing process like extracting the oil from the leaves tapos iyon ang ihahaplas sa balat para hindi lapitan ng lamok.

Maraming gamit ang neem and yes it can repel mosquitoes. Yung father ko kapag me bisita kami at dun sila sa labas ng bahay nakatambay naglalagay ng isang bugkos na fresh neem tree leaves sa ilalim ng lamesa pangontra sa lamok.

Sa India, kino consider ang neem tree na medicinal plants. Ginagamit syang gamot sa maraming klaseng sakit.

di ko sure sis.. hindi ako nagtatanong sa mga ganyan eh.. overpriced lagi..

saka neem tree, IMO madaling mamatay.. so kung bibili ka ng madami magastos..

suggest ko na lang, kung QC sa cubao meron.. kaso inoorder.. hindi kasi mabili yun
