went to zamboanga last july 16-18
arrived at 6am.. went straight to cabin econotel at campaner st.
got a room @P600 for 2 pax and P720 for 3pax
maliit yung double room nila compared sa pang 3 pax
but okei naman yung CR, malinis and walang amoy :)
stayed there for one night only and transferred to astoria pasonanca on our 2nd night
room at astoria pasonanca is @P1200 for 2 pax

malaki yung room nila as in... :D

meron din sila swimming pool and cheap ang food nila...
beer costs at P35/btl, same as with fruit juice and softdrinks :)

they offer airport transfer for P50/pax

tryk fee is P80 from lantaka hotel to astoria

that is why it takes great courage to love
knowing it might end anytime

sept 9 city tour zamboanga city
sept 10 sta. cruz island tour (half day) - travel to dipolog city
sept 11 dipolog city tour
sept 12 back to zamboanga (uwian na ang may dipolog na flight) eto ay kung dipolog na ang ticket ko pauwi or extend ko ng one day ang trip ko at sept 13 na ako uuwi.

if you're looking for a decent hotel in zamboanga, try Marcian Hotel. medyo bago pa sya so malinis and ok ang rooms. hindi rin sya masyadong pricey. look for ms cathy. jan ako binobook dati lagi sa office e

I suggest the following restaurants:

1. Palmeras (try knicker bucker glory)
2. Mano-mano/Greenfield (try bilao)
3. Flavorite (try their palabok)

LOL

iba ang crowd doon sis ha. share ko lang experience ko, though this is not in zamboanga. it's in cdo going to iligan by bus. just to give you an idea on the "safety" of those places. bumiyahe ako 4 am from cdo dahil may training ako ng 10am sa ozamis. so i have to ride a bus to iligan and meet up with our staff. sa bus may tumabing lalaki sa akin. una nakikipagkwentuhan in his dialect. siguro to make see if i understand bisaya. syempre hindi ako marunong so ang ginawa ko eh "less talk less mistake" yes no lang ako. nagtulug-tulugan ako. sinisiko nya ko to ask if may cellphone ako. good thing hindi tlg ako naglalabas ng phone the whole time so i can say wala akong cellphone. kinukulit nya ako until bumaba sya. then he said thank you to me. shocks! naisip ko tuloy may nakuha ba sya sa akin??? super scared. i told my staff about what happened. they said, madalas nga daw ang ganun, or worst holdapan sa buses. including buses to pagadian and dipolog sis.

try to eat crabs in alavar. saka sa barter kami buy ng pasalubong (sarong, malong, kari noodles, chocolates)
