Mostly talaga, the books are always better than the movies.

Liked:

Harry Potter
Pride and Prejudice
A Walk to Remember
Dear John

The Devil Wears Prada movie naman is waaay better than the book. Baligtad lang. :P

Disappointed:

The Time Traveler's Wife
Angels and Demons
PS I Love You

Twilight's the WORST. Book and Movie. WTF. ::)

Yung iba, so-so lang, and either hindi ko napanood or hindi ko nabasa kaya no comment. ;D

Maganda nga [textspeak!] movie adaptation ng A WALK TO REMEMBER.

Other movie adaptations that I like is yung sa NOTES ON A SCANDAL, as in nabigyan niya ng sariling color yung film. Tsaka for me forgivable na iniba nila yung message ni Eco. You should watch this too mga sis. =j

Yung DEAR JOHN di ko nagustuhan, kasi parang naiyak ako at ilang days natulala dahil dun sa ending niya sa book, especially dun sa last line, tapos nung ginawang movie, teeennneeen, happy ending na. Basta nakakadisappoint.

Yung THE READER din pala.

i think one of the worst adaptation from book to movie is Eat Pray Love.. there are a lot of very good scenes in the book that were not included in the movie... so dissapointing.

On the other hand, I think A Walk to Remember movie is better than the book. :)

Harry Potter series..i find that you can't relate to the story if you will only just watch the movie..it's really better if you read it cause some of the important details are not included in the film..though the movies are good for entertainment purpose..but i still love the series though ^^

best: LOTR :)

worst: the bourne series -- maganda ang movies hollywood-wise and it's understandable that nobody can possibly replicate all the kick-butt action scenes in the books, but come on, the movie makers have completely bastardized the story line.

Best:
A Walk To Remember (so-so lang yung The Notebook for me, mas maganda padin sa book)
Tuesdays with Morrie - nakakaiyak sa book and movie

Worst:
Dear John - binago yung ending, sobrang nakaka-touch pa naman yun nagdonate si John for the girl's husband. and yung lumabas yun girl para mag thumbs-up sa moon and si John is watching from afar sa hill or something..

For me, the best pa rin ang A Walk To Remember...Both the book and the movie are great and until now wala pa ako nakita na ganun.

Worst for me ay Twilight din...I'm so sorry for the fans but I really hated Rob and Kirsten's acting. They really butchered the character. I super love the Twilight Saga and I can't take it whenever I saw Twilight the movie..

WORST book to TV series:
Local - Kristine Series by Martha Cecilia - grabe, they just got the names of the character and places pero the story itself ay 360 degrees na iba...Super bad trip talaga (I'm a fan of the book series since college)

International - True Blood - I super love the book so I decided to check it out and after 2-3 episodes I gave up. Naging super R-18 tuloy.

I just hope they stick to the main story and not just use the title and character names ng mga famous books. These books became famous because they are good so there's no need to change anything IMO.

Best:

Angels & Demons by Dan Brown. Love book. Love Tom Hanks as Langdon. McGregor was fantastic as the Carmelengo. The movie was executed well.

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larrson. Hands down to Rooney Mara as Lisbeth Salander. She did justice to the role and I couldn't think of any actress to portray a complex character (maybe Natalie Portman). David Fincher was a good choice as the director.

Worst:

The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexander Dumas. I'm not sure if there are several movie adaptations of this book. But the movie I'm referring was the one with Jim Caviezel. The book was amazing but the movie production was such a blah.
