Lipat Bahay Tips, Dos, & Don'ts
« on: September 02, 2010, 11:02:36 AM »
Hi sisters!

My family and I will be moving to Silang Cavite next week (Sep 7 or 8, depende pa sa lucky date). Just wanna ask you guys for tips or dos and don'ts on relocating/moving. Baka may alam kayong pamahiin from your parents/relatives or any belief sa paglilipat bahay that could help...post lang po!!! :D

Thanks! :)
In the end, everything's gonna be okay. If it's not yet okay, then it's not yet the end.

XOXO,

-Anj-

Actually aside from rituals, pwede rin dito mga practical dos and don'ts sa paglilipat bahay. Like kung mas okay ba one time big time yung paglipat or dahan-dahan?

Mas ok ba na ibenta muna ibang gamit para makabawas sa dalahin or dalhin ang lahat?

Rent a jeep or lipat bahay truck? And what's the most affordable lipat bahay truck service you know?

Basta general stuff lang or everything under the sun na related sa paglilipat bahay. :)

In the end, everything's gonna be okay. If it's not yet okay, then it's not yet the end.

XOXO,

Lots of boxes! And label their contents as much as possible. Saves the hassle of opening them all up to look for something that you need immediately.

With us, we prefer unti-unti. Last yung mga big stuff namin like furniture and ref. Para at least yung small things arranged na, medyo kaunti na lang ang i-aarrange pagdating ng big stuff.

@anjelicabarte - label and pack your boxes according according to room that way, you'll know which to unpack first (the essentials) and the movers will know where to put them.

@lexenmel - I just asked the same question from another forum and here's what one person recommended: "you can try the mover we've hired twice already. 2500 when we moved from pasig to QC. Tapos 3000 when we moved from QC to cainta. Dapat 2500 lang din sya pero may additional 500 kasi dumaan pa sa ibang location to pick up our ref. Here's the number: 09184582176. look for irene. Sa pagkakaalam ko sa cubao sila based."

^ Any as God never made an unlucky day or night.  Best to do it during the day as you'll have no energy to move things around at night (unless you work the nightshift).

^^learned these from master city hunter...hehe sana lang maishare ko siya ng tama  :P

base sa pagkakatanda ko, mas best mag move in to your new home pag new moon kasi parang its a new beggining of everything but if you are already at the "peak" of your life, then mas ok mag move in pag full moon kasi parang you've lived your life to the fullest na from the time you transfered to your new home so parang ime-maintain nalang yung fullness hanggang sa mas maging fruitfull pa depends nalang on how you will take care and spend those blessings na meron ka... kabilin bilinan nga po ni master ch, share your blessings and knowledge for the benefits of everyone and always say thank you to Him for every single or small blessing na marereceive natin  :)

master ch paki korek nalang po if sablay  ;D

This is what we did when we moved:

1. Labelled all boxes numerically
2. Listed down what each box contains or where it should go in the new home (ie. Box 1, kitchen, box 2 bathroom, etc)
3. Ensure you have someone oversee the movement of items - for large fragile items, you can wrap in cardboard or bubble wrap
4. Refs should always be kept upright
5. Try to dismantle what you can to save space. Usually movers won't dismantle and reassemble so you may need to get someone else to do this.
6. If possible have someone you know ride with the movers so you can ensure they won't drive off with your items
7. Check with your village, condo, etc for any rules/guidelines for moving large items. Like for our condo, we could only move in 9pm onwards as we don't have a service elevator

where do you buy boxes na malaki at mura para sa pag pack ng mga stuff sa paglipat? Ang mahal kasi ng balikbayan boxes (Php 97 each) tapos ang liit lang.

Thanks in advance mga sis!

^you can buy from palengke and groceries.

pero ako i bought balikbayan boxes. mas kampante ako hindi bibigay yung boxes. plus less boxes, easier tracking.

i labeled each box with a number. then i have a master list of the items placed in each box. a distant relative who rode with the van also had a list of the boxes and where should it be placed.

thanks for the feedback sis. I'll probably check sa palengke this time kasi i checked n with sm, puregold and our local grocery pero maliit lang mga boxes nila.

Pagkalipat ng house, let's say wala pa talaga kayong gamit. Ano yung inuuna nyong bilhin?

Except beds..

^when we moved to our place, we didnt have any things except for our bed and my husband's ref and tv when he was a bachelor. big ticketed items we bought were the following:

- stove
- sofa
- cabinet and drawers
- aircons
- dining table/chairs
- another tv for our room
- side tables for the bed
- washing machine

these items were directly delivered to our new place.
