Twice na kong nabiktima.

I'm here in UAE and working in a construction industry. Boss ko mismo yung nagpasok sakin sa company. Everything went well which I thought but after 5months, I received a termination letter. They no longer needed my service because my performance didn't reach their expectations. WTF. I'm doing my job for more than 4years then sasabihan nila ako na i'm incompetent. So I filed letter of reconsideration to challenge them but they turned it down. I asked my boss what went wrong and wala siyang matinong sagot. I also talked to the Project Director wala din. Di daw nya alam. As far as I can remember I can't find any grounds to accussed me like that. May nababalitaan lang ako na yung kasama ko sa work na pinay, sinuhulan daw nya yung boss ko na ibagsak ako sa evaluation. I don't know if its true. Di ko naman maconfront kasi iyakin yun. Hinayaan ko na lang. Karma na lang.

Next, I was easily hired by an Irish Regional Director. Sinuwerte, they offered me a better position and a higher salary. Hindi ko alam na may rivalry pala between Irish and Egyptians. So when the Egyptian Project Director knows about me, hinanapan ako ng butas. He is in doubt if I can do my job efficiently kasi I'm still young, and the fact that I am Pinay. Ok na sana, kaya akong ipaglaban nung Irish, pero tong Egyptian inilapit na sa General Manager who's also an Egyptian. Wala na din nagawa yung Irish kasi boss nya. He don't want me to be part of the company. So now, my employment was cancelled. Hay. 

Hindi ko inakalang mangyayari sakin yung ganito. Ano bang meron ako? All I need is a nice job but why I'm suffering? Hay. I'm emotionally tortured na. Pero laban lang.

I only have few days to stay in UAE. But thank God there are people who are willing to help me out on this. Sana lang maayos bago umabot sa deadline. Mahirap talagang kalabanin ang oras.

Every work place has its politics.  Kahit na mga katulong natin sa bahay, they have politics at the work place.

If you always do your best to get along with everybody (hindi sa you lick as* or be a hypocrite...just be a team player and kahit na gusto mo nang saksakin.. eh smile ka nang pilit and then turn your back.  hehe) --  AND do your work best, kahit na magka guerra patani sila.. makaka iwas pusoy ka so to speak and not be laid off.    When other nationalities prevail at the work place, you must not stand out like a sore thumb.. otherwise, they take out on you their petty rivalries.

May katapusan din your unfortunate employment streak.  Be confident, and ask around a lot more ... for sure, makakakuha ka before the deadline.  Think positive, hwag mo na isipin ang nakaraang kaalatan... Good luck!

Mahirap lang diyan kasi hindi tulad dito, pro-employee ang DOLE. Pero since nakukuha ka naman pala diyan, ibig sabihin, you have what it takes. Tamang break lang.

Good News!

Tanggap na ko sa isang company! They will send me the offer letter next week. Thank God!

Kung tutuusin, mas madaling kausapin ang mga puti. Pag yes, yes. Pag no, no.

it just happened to me. kahapon lang napost na ang mga napromote and i was not one of them. paano may mga sariling bet ang mga heads, yung iba naman pinakiusap ng kung sino sa boss namin, meron din naman eh may malalakas na backer.

lakas ng trip nung egyptian na yun a.. grabe girl, i know how you feel pero dito lang naman sa pinas.. i haven't been anywhere in my life but here though i have plans naman to go get out of the country..

like you, hindi na din ako nagsalita.. o lumaban.. syempre nagtatrabaho tayo ng maayos, kapag talaga ang pagtatrabaho mo mula sa puso at talagang malinis, hindi talaga maiiwasan na merong mga pambwiset.. pero challenge yun saten.. kung paano tayo lalaban.. ako naman, matapos yung mga yon, eto nakapirmi na din naman ako sa isang magandang company.. at sobrang natulungan ako ng company na ito kase nung muntik na akong mamatay e nandoon sila at sinagot nila lahat ng kailangan ko sa hospitalization.. kung wala sila e lubog na lubog siguro kami ngayon sa utang ang what's worst e baka patay na ako..

 kaya taas ang kamay ko sayo girl.. may blessing din sayo ulit.. keep praying..

work politics will never cease even if you are the founder and president pa of your own company. well the good thing is at least may pambara ka sa mga shallow situations: this is my company and i do what i want you are always free to leave.

naku it happened to me yesterday! pero kabaligtaran ako ang boss at pinupulitika ako ng tao ko. Ang masakit pa dito kababata ko sya and i gave her this job. Wala sya utang na loob. No wonder ndi sya tumatagal sa company na mga pinasukan nya. Anyway heres my story.

Kakabigay ko [textspeak!] ng regularization letter nya then of course i asked her if you have any concerns or suggestion i am willing to listen. So nag sabi naman sya, mga suggestion and points for improvement which is based na sabi daw ng mga kasama nya. She even tried to warn me of the people i need to be careful of coz I am already on top and she is concern about me thats why she is telling me this. So i told her thank you for the tip and i will discuss them to my boss.
Then the day after she keeps saying to me that i should have a meeting with the team to discuss the concerns she said to me. I didnt do the meeting coz i have plenty of things to do i already told her that i will discuss this first to my boss.

Then I learned na lumapit sya sa isa sa management team na ndi naman nya boss pero malakas sa boss ko and sinabi nya ang mga sinabi nya sakin na mga concerns or i dont know baka may dinagdag pa sya and fortunately ka close ko yun so she told me what that person told her. [textspeak!] ko foul yung ginawa nung tao ko coz in the first place [textspeak!] sya kinalaman dun secondly she already told me her concerns bakit need pa nya sabihin ulit syo. Wala ba sya tiwala na aactionan ko yung mga sinabi nya? So in short pumapapel sya sa management at trying to show that she is concern about the company. Ndi ko alam kung ndi sya nag iisip sa ginawa nyang yon. pero insulting sa part ko yun.  Mabuti na [textspeak!] isa sa mga tao ko nag bigay ng warning dun sa sinabihan nya na isang sa management na balimbing sya.

Anyway, she also use emotional blackmail and using her mother who is sick.  I really regret i hired her and even regularized her. Kaya pala walang nag reregular sa knya but since she is my kababata and i want to help her solve her financial problems tiniis ko ang pagiging pasaway nya. Sometimes mahirap maging mabait [textspeak!] aabusuhin ka at ang mga taong tinulungan mo pa ang mag tratraydor syo.  Wala tlaga sya utang na loob. O nga pala lahat ng barkada namin ay galit sa knya dahil may history sya na yung isang barkada namin ay pinag nakawan nya. Pero ndi ako naniwala nun [textspeak!] ayaw ko sya ijudge so even knowing that knowledge i gave her a chance and still hire her...and still eto ginawa nya sakin...sad but i know why her life is a mess...its bec she doesnt know how to be thankful for all her blessing and madumi sya mag isip...i think its her karma what is happening to her...basta sabi ko sa sarili ko i will do my job and bahala na [textspeak!] sila.

People will try to destroy you when you are successful no matter who they are even if they are you friends, just do your job and always be aware of your surroundings. The truth will always prevail.

Uso din yan sa office. Naku, minsan e tinatawanan ko nalang. Kasi madaming newly hired na na p promote agad kasi close sa managers. Pero sa aming vet naman nagtatanong lagi. TO make things worst, ang simple pa ng mga tanong. Na kahit elementary e kayang sagutin.

Uso din yan sa previous company ko! Office politics and favoritism is one of the reasons why I left din a month ago. OA e!

Honestly ang nangyari politics dito sa office namen involves me and a very long time friend (since college) and now we are not friends nor talk to each other anymore kasi napika na ako. During the past 2 years namen dito na magkasama, i know she is like the "chismosa - medyo plastic - sensitive at mapride na tao" - i know naman yung mga side na yun kasi since college we are friends na and my parents are paying for her tuition fee for 2 years nung nawalan sila ng money so okay lang kahit na may nasasabi siyang kung ano ano na hindi naman dapat sinasabi sa ibang mga kaofismate namen kasi di naman ako ang topic. Pero still I dont really care sa mga ganun kasi i wont benefit from those chismis and stuffs so nakikinig ako sa kanya but lumalabas lang sa kabilang tenga ko. Nagkaron ng isang turning point sa career namen kasi i wanted to get CCNA certified na then she say wag na daw kasi di na daw idemand, ibang trainings nalang ang kunin "namen". I did not listen sa kanya kasi gusto ko yun.

So okay while i am preparing for the certification - she was making sumbong pala sa sa Team Lead namen na iniiwanan daw siya sa mga plano at hindi daw siya sinasali.. OMG ano ba ito?! May sumbong sumbong epek pa.. at lumalala pa ng lumalala kahit na hindi na kami nag uusap gumagawa padin ng issue kesyu daw di na daw siya part ng team ang lagi ako na ang may kasalanan.. in short sinisiraan na niya ako ng todo todo pati ba naman yung laptop issue na nawawala yung adaptor sinubong pa nya sa tech lead namen kesyo daw nagdadabog daw ako. (hindi naman, hays) WTF talaga! haha sorry mga sis naiinis ako talaga pag naalala ko.. natigil lang yun nung inemail ko na siya CC my Team Lead sa kung ano anong sinasabi nya.

So now we are not friends and we don't talk a all kahit na katabi ko lang ang desk nya. Nakakalungkot talaga pero I have to close this cycle kasi it does not fit my life anymore. I dont want to be friend someone ungrateful as her. Sorry for ranting ~ haha nakakairita kasi ang politika sa office eh - so i considered this as one kasi isa ito example ng crab mentally ng mga pinoy.

kaya for me, it's a no-no na maging ka team ang isang friend, like friend sa college, hs, etc. it's okay pag sa work kami naging friend pero if we we're friends before the job came, no-no talaga. for me kasi mas mahirap utusan, and may feeling ng entitlement since friends nga kayo.

Am a victim of this. worst, involves my boss.

im the top performer in her team - numbers tell, and our KRA is based solely on numbers - but she removed all my accounts from me, and worse,  asked for softcopies of my proposals.  thats my work, isnt it supposed to have some copyright hehe
