Hi mga sis! thank you for taking time out to look at the pictures
Sis skipper, i dont have a party planner, labor of love lang ang lahat ng ito, hehe, first baby shempre and we allocated 65 to 70K for this celebration
anyway, here are my ratings and details of Ileana's baptismal celebration held June 12, 2010...happy reading
1) Church: St. Alphonsus Mary de Liguori Parish (Magallanes Church)
Contact person: Ms. Kathy (secretary), 852-8228
Requirements: photocopy of birth certificate, marriage contract and parish permit
Fee: P700, additional P50 per sponsor
This church is highly recommended for several reasons: lovely architecture of the church and baptistry, very kind baptism priest (memorized din nya ang buong rites so no misalettes), and an accomodating and friendly secretariat.
2) Reception: Galeria de Magallanes Clubhouse (sponsorship required)
Contact number: 852-4670
Fee: P 8,000 for 4 hours, no added fees for security bond
The other clubhouse that we booked a month prior, called us 2 days before (June 10) Ileana's actual baptism, only to inform us that they had a mistake of two bookings on that day.. Imagine the panic and stress we experienced having no venue 2 days before!!! It was a relief that Galeria de Magallanes was free on that day and accomodated us even in such a short notice. It was a blessing also, since Galeria de Magallanes is just a block away from the church so it was easy for us to guide the guests.
3) Caterer: Center Table Catering
Contact Person: Belle (AE), 824-5179, www.centertablecatering.com
Fee: Lunch and Dinnef Buffet Packages start at P 350 to P 615 per head, plus 12% VAT, no service charge
Stage Decor (blocks and bear theme) - P5,000
Menu: Appetizer: Cheese sticks with Dip (spot cooking)
Salad: Chicken potato salad with walnuts
Main Course: Roast beef with mashed potatoes
Boneless chicken barbecue
Parmesan crusted cream dory
Soft pan rolls
Dessert: An assortment of pastries:
Creme puff, Tiramisu, and Chocolate eclair
Beverage: Bottomless juice
I have read many good reviews about Centertable and so we decided to give it a try. Our AE was prompt to answer my queries in emails and scheduled us for a food tasting. My husband liked the food during food tasting and so his favorites was in our menu. Indeed, on the actual day, the food was delicious and most of our guests left with a happy full stomach, hehe
Also, their price is reasonable enough considering their selection of dishes. Actually, center table is also good for our budget since they already have nice center table pieces and buffet set-up for our theme plus they have a stage decor which became our photo booth during the party.
4) Photos: Warren Camitan c/o Ces Kasilag
Contact numbers: 09178261684 (Warren) , 09175407496 (Ces)
Fee: P4,000 to 5,000 if labor only
P8,500 to P9,500 if album package
Since Ces was not available on the actual day, and so we had Warren Camitan to cover the event. He was very kind and very patient with my daughter, Ileana, mahirap kasi patawanin that time..he spent half an hour or more pa ata, holding Ileana's birdie breeze on one hand while the other holding his camera waiting for the perfect shot..and all his efforts paid off, pictures were lovely and yes, he was able to capture Ileana's precious smiles, heheh
5) Cake: Grand Finale Desserts
Contact Person: Ms. Elise Torrejon (owner) www.grandfinaledesserts.multiply.com
Fee: P3,000 two-tier cake (all true cake), marshmallow icing
The chocolate-flavored cake was really moist and it has the right sweetness that i wanted for a cake. Only I think I made a mistake in requesting for a marshmallow icing in a design that was meant for a fondant cake since the effect was different. But then again, it was really delicious that some guests requested to have some for them to take home.
6) Giveaways: Little Bears and cupcakes (guests)
Tall Tumblers (Ninongs/Ninangs)
Fee: P 18/ bear
P 80/ tumbler
cupcakes (free, baked by my friend)
My mother helped me buy these stuffs at Divisoria (168), groundfloor), since I am not very familiar with the place. There were a lot of nice items but I think we had a good deal with the bears and tumblers in one stall. The little bears was a hit with the guests, young and old, hehe!
7) Candles, Invites and Guestbook: all DIY
Fee: Candles P 300
Guestbook P 600
Invites: P 300
During the planning stage, I have seen pictures of these that gave me an idea on what to do for Ileana's baptism..I personally designed the candles and the materials I bought from National Bookstore. For the guestbook, I bought a scrapbook-type of album at Karton (greenbelt 5) and designed it with Ileana's pictures and verses of a poem of wishes for Ileana. The invite design was adapted from tinyprints.com..simple but classy.
Dress and Shoes: Rustan's Makati (Dress), Mothercare (shoes)
Fee: Baptismal dress - P 1,500
Reception dress - P 1,000 (Baby Rustan's)
Shoes - P 750
It was a wise decision for us to have Ileana at rustan's baby registry first before buying these items since were able to avail of the 10% discount. For the shoes, we're fortunate to find size 0 or newborn shoes (0-3 months) at Mothercare greenbelt 5 since most of the shoes we saw at rustan's are for more than 3 months already. Ileana, by the way was only 3months then.
