Hi mga sis! thank you for taking time out to look at the pictures :)  Sis skipper, i dont have a party planner, labor of love lang ang lahat ng ito, hehe, first baby shempre and we allocated 65 to 70K for this celebration  :)  anyway, here are my ratings and details of Ileana's baptismal celebration held June 12, 2010...happy reading :)

1) Church:  St. Alphonsus Mary de Liguori Parish (Magallanes Church)
Contact person:  Ms. Kathy (secretary), 852-8228
Requirements:  photocopy of birth certificate, marriage contract and parish permit
Fee:  P700, additional P50 per sponsor
    Rating:  5/5

This church is highly recommended for several reasons: lovely architecture of the church and baptistry, very kind baptism priest (memorized din nya ang buong rites so no misalettes), and an accomodating and friendly secretariat. :)

2) Reception:  Galeria de Magallanes Clubhouse (sponsorship required)
    Contact number:  852-4670
Fee:  P 8,000 for 4 hours, no added fees for security bond
    Rating:  5/5

The other clubhouse that we booked a month prior, called us 2 days before (June 10) Ileana's actual baptism, only to inform us that they had a mistake of two bookings on that day.. Imagine the panic and stress we experienced having no venue 2 days before!!! It was a relief that Galeria de Magallanes was free on that day and accomodated us even in such a short notice. It was a blessing also, since Galeria de Magallanes is just a block away from the church so it was easy for us to guide the guests. :)

3) Caterer:  Center Table Catering
Contact Person:  Belle (AE), 824-5179, www.centertablecatering.com
Fee:  Lunch and Dinnef Buffet Packages start at P 350 to P 615 per head, plus 12% VAT, no service charge
Stage Decor (blocks and bear theme) - P5,000
Menu:  Appetizer:  Cheese sticks with Dip (spot cooking)
Salad:  Chicken potato salad with walnuts
Main Course:  Roast beef with mashed potatoes
                                    Boneless chicken barbecue
                                    Parmesan crusted cream dory
                                    Baked macaroni
                                    Steamed rice
                                    Soft pan rolls
              Dessert:  An assortment of pastries:
Creme puff, Tiramisu, and Chocolate eclair
              Beverage:  Bottomless juice
     Rating:  5/5

I have read many good reviews about Centertable and so we decided to give it a try.  Our AE was prompt to answer my queries in emails and scheduled us for a food tasting.  My husband liked the food during food tasting and so his favorites was in our menu.  Indeed, on the actual day, the food was delicious and most of our guests left with a happy full stomach, hehe :) Also, their price is reasonable enough considering their selection of dishes.  Actually, center table is also good for our budget since they already have nice center table pieces and buffet set-up for our theme plus they have a stage decor which became our photo booth during the party.

4) Photos:  Warren Camitan c/o Ces Kasilag
    Contact numbers:  09178261684 (Warren) , 09175407496 (Ces)
Fee:  P4,000 to 5,000 if labor only
P8,500 to P9,500 if album package
    Rating:  5/5

Since Ces was not available on the actual day, and so we had Warren Camitan to cover the event. He was very kind and very patient with my daughter, Ileana, mahirap kasi patawanin that time..he spent half an hour or more pa ata, holding Ileana's birdie breeze on one hand while the other holding his camera waiting for the perfect shot..and all his efforts paid off, pictures were lovely and yes, he was able to capture Ileana's precious smiles, heheh :)

5) Cake: Grand Finale Desserts
Contact Person:  Ms. Elise Torrejon (owner)
                            www.grandfinaledesserts.multiply.com
Fee: P3,000 two-tier cake (all true cake), marshmallow icing
    Rating:  4/5

The chocolate-flavored cake was really moist and it has the right sweetness that i wanted for a cake.  Only I think I made a mistake in requesting for a marshmallow icing in a design that was meant for a fondant cake since the effect was different. But then again, it was really delicious that some guests requested to have some for them to take home. :)

6) Giveaways:  Little Bears and cupcakes (guests)
                      Tall Tumblers (Ninongs/Ninangs)
    Fee:  P 18/ bear
            P 80/ tumbler
cupcakes (free, baked by my friend)
    Rating: 5

My mother helped me buy these stuffs at Divisoria (168), groundfloor), since I am not very familiar with the place.  There were a lot of nice items but I think we had a good deal with the bears and tumblers in one stall.  The little bears was a hit with the guests, young and old, hehe!

7) Candles, Invites and Guestbook:  all DIY
    Fee:  Candles P 300
            Guestbook P 600
            Invites:  P 300
    Ratings:  5/5

During the planning stage, I have seen pictures of these that gave me an idea on what to do for Ileana's baptism..I personally designed the candles and the materials I bought from National Bookstore.  For the guestbook, I bought a scrapbook-type of album at Karton (greenbelt 5) and designed it with Ileana's pictures and verses of a poem of wishes for Ileana.  The invite design was adapted from tinyprints.com..simple but classy. :)

8) Dress and Shoes:  Rustan's Makati (Dress), Mothercare (shoes)
    Fee:  Baptismal dress - P 1,500
            Reception dress  - P 1,000 (Baby Rustan's)
            Shoes - P 750
    Rating: 5/5

It was a wise decision for us to have Ileana at rustan's baby registry first before buying these items since were able to avail of the 10% discount.  For the shoes, we're fortunate to find size 0 or newborn shoes (0-3 months) at Mothercare greenbelt 5 since most of the shoes we saw at rustan's are for more than 3 months already.  Ileana, by the way was only 3months then.

Okay mga sis, I hope I was able to help moms out there..especially first time moms like me!

sis tintin ang cute ng cupcakes mo congrats sa baptism ng daugther mo.

sis san ang Bellagio 1? Kailangan ba dun ng sponsor to be able to hold a party? naghahanap kasi kami ng function room/clubhouse in Fort as option sa restaurant.

hi sis tintin P20 pesos lang ang cupcakes by olga? including na yung baby on top na designs? :) may contact number ka sis? contact-in namin. nag inquire kasi ako sa sonja cupcakes pag may design may extra charge na P20/each plus yung cupcake na P55/each. then yung cupcake stand meron pa extra na bayad for renting P500 additional pa.  :o

sis mitzi thanks for the info. how much pala yung package na in avail nyo sa center batle is that the P30 or P375. bakit kaya ganunu sabi ng AE na na assign sa amin wala daw food tasting kasi ordinary event daw at hindi wedding nye! pinapapunta na lang nya ko sa NBC tent this weekend kasabay ng wedding expo tapos pay entrance fee na P50.

may extra bayad pala ang stage sis? btw pano mo ginawa yung design? download lang ba ako ng template from tinyprints and that's it? yun na ang size na sakto sa mga envelopes? san ka nag pa print sis?

sis skipper, [textspeak!] 375/person ang kinuha namin.  Actually, at first, sabi din ng AE namin na usually daw for wedding events nga lang daw ang food tasting nila, pero naglambing na lang ako na sure client kami and so nagbayad muna kami before their scheduled food tasting at fernwood.. Sabi ko kasi, para malaman namin ang i-mix and match sa menu, hehe..She's kind enough naman to invite us na sa food tasting to finalize our menu. :)
Yes, may extra bayad ang stage nila, pero i think sulit na rin since di na ako naghire ng venue decorator :)
Regarding sa invites, i followed all the steps lang sa tinyprints then i downloaded lang [textspeak!] final na invite na.  After saving, i adjusted the colors/enhance the colors then i set the size (na kasya sa binili kong envelope) before printing...Sa printer ko lang dito sa house ko ginawa..I used a glossy photopaper para bagay. :)
good luck sis!

celebrated my daughter's christening last sunday aug. 15. :) im happy that everything went well and wala namang major problems encountered.

here is my review:

1) church: sta. maria della strada parish church in katipunan
rating: 4/5
price: P1,000. no additional charge for extra number of sponsors

i chose this church because i really like its architecture. i like that napapaligiran to ng garden and the baptismal area is beautiful. only reason why i didnt give it a perfect score is its not air-conditioned.. mainit.. although open naman yung area but since it was especially humid that day, ang init.. and my daughter was very cranky and irritable because of the heat.

they're not strict sa requirements, you just have to give them a copy of the birth certificate, marriage license (if not married, hindi to required) and parish permit if you belong in another parish

here are the pictures taken from the church:

http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/album.php?aid=246362&id=531730872

2) reception: dencio's capitol hills
rating: 4/5

aside from the proximity to the church, another reason i chose dencio's in capitol hills is because i really like the view.. yun nga lang medyo small yung function room. i was told that it culd fit around 80 pax, but nung na set-up na, mga 60 lang, so some guests, nasa labas ng room yung tables nila..

the food was delicious.. =)

3) cake and cupcakes: frupcakes by clarissa
rating 5/5
price: P2820 + P500 cupcake tower rental fee (refundable)

i really like the cake and cupcakes. ang cute!! ang sarap sarap din.  my guests loved it.. and clarissa is very nice and accomodating. there are times when she would take days before she would reply to my emails, but understandable naman because i know how busy she is..

here are pictures of the cake and cupcakes:

4) balloons: raquel of mommybiz08
rate: 5/5
price: P4,950 (including P300 transportation fee)

medyo konti lang pictures ng multiply site nya, but i sent her pics of balloon designs that i like and she was able to do it naman.. what i really like about her is super affordable sya. sya ang pinakamurang natanungan ko so far.

she's also very very nice. of all my suppliers sya ang nicest..she said she's also a mom din kasi kaya she understands my concerns

here are the pictures:

http://mommybiz08.multiply.com/photos/album/54/Kaitlyns_Baptismal_-_Dencios#

4) photog: sophiaphotography
rating 5/5
price P4000

at first i was hesitant to hire a photographer kasi i thought i have a camera naman and for sure my guests would be bringing cameras too.. but im really glad i got them. at least i have great looking pictures and less hassle pa for me.

erwin is very mabait. he's kulit but in a nice way. parang close na kagad kayo. he sent two photographers: nats and jun. si nats, i requested for him kasi i saw his pics in their multiply site and i really like his shots. si jun naman, im really glad erwin sent him. ang galing din nya. when i told erwin about this sabi nya jun is really good nga daw [textspeak!] he's his wedding photographer. so yey!! i got two very good photographers :)

the 2 have different styles e.. nats is good in capturing moments.. mga candid shots of people.. he was able to capture the mood of the event. he also has great shots of my baby and his daddy =)

here are nats shots (reception):

http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=6765894&id=531730872&ref=fbx_album#!/album.php?aid=246431&id=531730872

jun naman has very artistic shots and he was able to take pictures of the details like the invitions, souvenirs. the decors.. basta like ko talaga angles ng pictures ni jun  :)

i'd definitely get them again for my baby's first birthday  :)

5) invitations: DIY

http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=6765894&id=531730872&ref=fbx_album#!/photo.php?pid=6766740&id=531730872&ref=fbx_album&fbid=477997365872

6) souvenir: rosary bracelet from divisoria
P18.00 each at divisoria

ang mura!! nakakatuwa! but it doesnt look cheap. yung beads mukhang glass  :)

http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=6766740&id=531730872&ref=fbx_album&fbid=477997365872#!/photo.php?pid=6766912&id=531730872&ref=fbx_album

7) baptismal dress: landmark P350
reception dress: landmark: P990

sis skipper, no problem. Actually naging problem din namin yan ang background music kung anong kind pero what we did nalang yung Christian songs na modern hehe pero may nagcomment samin na nakakaantok daw so siguro yung tama lang hindi nakakaantok hindi din rock hehe..well anything naman pwede depende sa type niyo and guests nyo

actually ok na ok tong venue kung intimate gathering ng baptism pero hirap din kasi i control ang guests at sa akin naman baka magtampo officemates ko kung di maimbita. pwede din pala i arrange food tasting sis. kung titingnan mo yung price ng entries sa menu nila sa munchpunch sobrang discounted na yung P500 all in. Maganda pa ang set-up pati yung mismong place elegant and cozy at the same time. though hindi ko pa na try food nila siguro one of these days try namin  ;D
