ahahaha! atat lang sis. ngayon lilipat na nga ako. last day ko dito sa ofis July 31 then i'll start with ADP Philippines on August 20.

Advantage talaga pag galing ka UP. kasi kahit hindi ka pa nakita ng interviewer mo for a job, they have their impression of who are applying for them.

haha! yabang lang...pero totoo. iba kasi talaga training mismo satin. we don't only compete, we'll do the legwork as well....sometimes, it's nice din, pero mejo mahirap din kasi a lot of people expects a lot from us...bigger responsibility is how to live up to those expectations...

i hear you, sis...

dagdag pa diyan, minsan, we expect a lot from ourselves and it's difficult to live up to that.

dagdag pa ulit, minsan, we compare our present lives, the work we do, the ideas we hear, the people we interact with--we compare or measure them dun sa naexperience natin sa UP. and it gets frustrating kasi may un-nameable feeling na "parang may kulang"...

paalis na ko ng UP Diliman in a few months at di ko alam kung saan ako pupulutin after UP. feeling ko mawawalan na ko ng special identity. isa na lang ako sa sobrang daming jobseekers. di naman kagandahan ang grades ko kasi hindi ko pinagbuti. tres lang maligaya na ko e. natatakot tuloy ako sa expectations ng mga future employers ko. nung nag OJT nga ako sa NEDA, sobra ang regard nila sa mga UP students to the point na binebaby kami at kami pa ang namimili kung saang office kami magiintern. natatakot tuloy ako sa totoong trabaho.

tama ka jan sis. minsan talaga hindi mo kasi maiiwasan, kahit wala ka naman ginagawa sa iba, may mga mali ka din makikita. and if you came from UP, we live by principles. we do what we think is right.

if you start working in companies, there are boundaries like choosing whether we do what is right or do the right thing. eto isang challenge ko after UP when i started working.

madami companies na pwede ka mag apply sis.

if you are an econ grad, you can apply for market research or financial research companies to start...and/or if you really want since may background ka naman na sa NEDA, you can directly apply for NEDA. it is really about choosing the right industry that you love pag naghanap ka na ng mga magandang companies na pwede ka mag apply.

as for me, accidentally ako napa apply sa call center. pero i have no regrets about that. it just happen na nung nag graduate ako, am faced with financial responsility kaya ni pursue ko ang call center.

regarding sa work environment, you'll get use to it...

sis ayami, ang cute mo. hehe, normally, yung mga kwentuhan namin sa batch, ang experience nila, after graduation, mejo confident and hopeful sila. tapos pagpasok sa "real world", biglang, "ay, iba pala". pero ikaw at least grounded ka na agad.

wag kang magworry sa mga tres mo. yung expectations, sa una lang yun. at the end of the day, namamanage naman ang expectations through communication. chin up na ha?

OT: NCPAG ka ba? hula lang, NEDA ka nagintern kasi eh.

naging totoo na pinapangarap ko. dito kasi ako malapit sa The Fort nakatira sis. nag resign ako sa job ko lastweek kasi gusto ko mag experience muna sa corporate before ako mag MBA sa Ateneo sana kasi malapit lang dito. advantage to para sa mga makati workers like me.

natuwa naman ako dito.

my older sister took the UPCAT ng 1997 for AY98-99, august din sya nagtake.

yung cousin ng friend ko, nagUPCAT last saturday. sana makapasa.

nakakatuwa pala yung #RejectedUPCATEssayQuestion sa twitter. hehe. pero sabi ng friend ko meron daw talagang question about dun sa encounter with an alien.

geekybride yep, I'm from NCPAG pero di original BAPA kaya mababa ang morale ko. Haha. Kick out ako from Engg and tumagal ako almost 7 years sa UP with 1 year na LOA kasi I had a baby (and madaming bagsak like Econ 11, 4 takes ako)

Graduating na'ko this year... kinakabahan na baka mahirapan akong makakuha ng maayos na work since hindi kagandahan ang grades ko (meaing hindi ako graduating with honors).

^ Te, graduating din ako, pero this sem na. Buti nga pamantayan mo ng di kagandahang grades yung hindi honors, e sakin every sem dalawang singko or combination ng INC at singko or 4 at singko. tadtad ng singko yung TCG ko pero hopeful pa rin ako.

GWA ko nga madalas 3.5 and below.
