I love NYC! Been going every year for New Year's Eve! The parties are crazy! Living here though, I dunno. I've considered it before pero I chose another city instead.

^ Good luck :)

Hope hurricane Sandy will not cause that much damage.  It's our first hurricane, hopefully we don't lose power or running water...hotels around are booked.  We were in the Gulfcoast region for almost 3 years and no hurricane, 3 months in the northeast and hurricane Sandy comes along.

We were at a local Lowe's last night and all generators were gone, there were about a handful of flashlights, we got some 5 gallon buckets last minute in case the water stops working.  We're supposed to come in to work and will be allowed to leave by noon, i'm staying home until I get called in.  My fear not being able to go back home once I'm out.

Hurricane last week, nor'easter this week and we've only been in the northeast for 2 months.

hi Newyorkers!

hhhmm...im planning to move there nextyear. Toursit visa lang. Half of my family is there. sabi ng sis ko, pagdating ko jan, bahala na ang visa pano gagawan ng paraan. My sis is from New Jersey whilst the other fam is from Staten and Manhattan. I am scared to change places again. I think macuculture shock ako kase 6 years akong nasa Dubai na super laid back ang buhay.

I am really scared..daming what ifs..

Kwento naman yung mga sisses jan from new york how you started your life.

Ang ate ko kase puro positive eh, parang ang lahat madali..gusto ko yung realistic na kwento.

TIA!
Seduce my mind and you can have my body, Find my soul and I'm yours forever.

^ Moved here from San Francisco about 8-1/2 years ago now. Was a HUGE change. Hated NYC for the first four years I was here. I was hell bent on returning back to California as soon as I graduated. My whole family is still back in California so I visit at least once a year. While it's still difficult to leave them every time, I find that I start to miss New York after a few days in California. To the point that now I've resolved to stay in NYC indefinitely. Something about NYC's crudeness, dirtiness, crassness draws you...it's a world on its own. It is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Not so much aesthetically but more so the culture and the richness the city can provide. It's only something one can discover once you give it a chance. Then who knows, you might just fall inlove too :).
