How to prevent Stretchmarks??
« on: March 06, 2010, 03:21:47 pm »
Hi sis! I'm now on my 5th month and I'm using St. Yves Collagen Elastin Lotion (twice more collagen) for moisture. Super takot kasi ako magka-stretchmarks...So far lotion addict talaga ako, just wanna make sure walang stratchmarks after, wala pa naman ako nakikitang marks so far.

Are there available lotions din to prevent stretchmarks?
This is my first pregnancy. Thanks mommies  :)

one of my friends from my previous job, she has 2 kids na and she doesnt have stretchmarks at all. hinde din nag-flap yung tummy nya. when she wears 2-piece, it's as if wala pa talaga syang kids. one heck of a lucky girl.
Whatever I want, I get. If I can't, I don't stop TRYING.

^ nasa lahi nga yata kung ma-stretchmarks ka or not. My friend told me to buy Palmers too. It's super effective daw. Goodluck to our pregnancy sis. Ako din ayaw ko ng mga red stretchies or yung grabeng broken lines. I'm still young, career pa after pregnancy :)

sa first pregnancy ko i used cocoa butter cream. wala nga ako stretchmarks sa tummy, kasi dun ako nagfocus maglagay. yun nga lang na neglect ko yung sa thighs huhu. nagka-stretchmarks sila. red sila at first pero after i gave birth nawala rin pero parang may pattern if you'll look closely. sabi ni hubby ako lang naman daw nakakakita  ;D still, nakakaconscious pa rin minsan. hilig ko pa naman magshorts.

now uber tamad ako mag apply ng lotion/any cream. ang init kasi  ::) may alam ba kayo na non greasy na lotion/cream/oil for stretchmarks?

buti pa mom ko, 4 kids, and not a single stretchmark. depende yata talaga sa skin mo.

they say OB's usually presrcibe a lotion for that. Since i dont have a big tummy pa sorbolene lang but if it gets bigger ill start na my tummy butter. i just hope it works. mas ok siguro if there's a concentrated collagen na cream

Hi sis i'm using Palmer's Tummy Butter, safe to be used before, during and after pregnancy. I also tried St. Ives Collagen Elastin Lotion and Shea Butter Soap to improve my skin's elasticity para kahit lumaki na yung tummy ko ng sobra walang stretchies. I;m on my 5th month now and wala pa ding stretchmarks  :)

my OB prescribed phytolastil, and so far okey naman sya..it's actually gel, kaya di mainit gamitin. I also use Clarins Tonic Body oil, and I swear by this product...aside from the wonderful smell, madali siyang ma-absorbed ng skin kaya hindi mainit, to think na oil siya, plus it really works...so far i am on my 6th month na, and sobrang laki ng tummy ko,as in pero wala stretchies..i also have the palmer's tummy butter pero mainit and masyadong smelly for me, kaya di ko ginagamit.
I also use Clarins anti-stretchmark lotion, and okey rin...fragrance-free pa at di rin greasy sa skin.

Sa pagkaka-alam ko ha, there is no way na ma-prevent ang stretchmarks unless yung tummy mo eh yung size nya hanggang manganak ka pang 5months lang LOL, but seriously kaya nga tinawag na stretchmark kc nga nagyayari yun kapag sobrang na-stretch ang tummy mo lalo na dun sa mga soon to be mommy na sobrang dami kumain as in walang control, just continue applying your lotion makakatulong naman yan to prevent from scratching [textspeak!] pag malaki na yan makati na talaga.

Alam ko nasa genes pa din kung magkakastretchmarks ka or hindi eh, ok [textspeak!] lang kung meron basta wag lang  masayado OA yung stretchmarks right? Kung pwede i-prevent this early, edi good  ;)

^More mommies trust Palmer's Products. They have a complete line.
Out of stock yung Chicco Momma when I checked it, gusto ko din kasi i-try but unfortunately, they had the last stocks on SALE, naubusan ako.

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Tummy Butter

This highly concentrated formula with Cocoa Butter, Vitamin E, Collagen, Elastin and soothing Lavender Oil, is widely recommended for stretch marks during and after pregnancy. Penetrates as deep as the dryness and helps restore vital moisture. Smoothes marks and tones skin.

Palmer's Organics Cocoa Butter Massage Lotion for Stretch Marks

Palmer’s Organics Massage Lotion for Stretch Marks helps reduce the appearance of stretch marks, naturally. A special combination of Cocoa Butter, Aloe, Shea Butter, Vitamin E, Soybean Oil, Collagen and Elastin lubricates the skin, helping retain its natural elasticity and moisture.

another thing is gumamit ka ng shea butter soap sis, it's gonna be a great combo. i ordered Cyleina soaps, safe for preggy yung shea butter and honey oatmeal  :)
