To give you an idea on the expenses:

2200 - 700 - 350 = 1150

So Rooms nyo and ni yaya = 1150
EZLink (MRT and Bus)         = 200 - 250
Ilaw at Kuryente                 = 150 - 200 (depende kung gano kalakas gumamit ng aircon)
Groceries                             = 800

sis IMO lang, better be with your hubby in SG! u can adjust naman with regards to finances and needs ninyo, instead na magkalayo kayo! or long distance relationship! hayy hirap at risky din.

Just want to share with you a good news - my brother and a cousin went to sing last november. they were the last batch i think of epec passers. finally may trabaho na si brother in an IT company. sobrang tagal nga ng paghahanap nya kasi mahigpit daw ngayon. he got a job in a small IT company. unfortunately my cousin is not as lucky kasi wala pa sya work. she is an HRM graduate. pero andun ang husband nya na may work din so subsidized sya. sana makahanap na rin sya ng work doon pero pahirapan daw nga ngayon. so there.

normally if tourist visit, they will give u 1 month, so dapat within that period u get a job na, or if still none apply for extension a week before your visa expires. sometimes on the 3rd month they exit to malaysia and then get another 1 month visa, coz its cheaper and easier to go to malaysia than go back to the philippines, this is if your really job hunting in sg!

E-pass or Employment pass is given usually to white collar jobs or higher paying jobs , while S- pass naman is given to those like saleslady, etc, below salary of  SSg2,000. then work permit naman is given to those who work as domestic helpers..now the dilema lies in  Ministry of manpower (MOM) which means u have to pass to have an issuance of e-pass or s-pass to be able to work, but they are really strict! job vacancy is a lot but hard to pass s MOM!

correction lang po... S-Pass holders mga white collar jobs din po sila just like E-Pass holders. my flatmate works as a manager in HP pero naka-S-Pass lang din sya like me, i work as an engineer in a Mechanical-Electrical Engineering firm. S-Pass holders now should have at least $2K salary or higher  :)   yung pass eh depende sa years of work experience, salary, education at school kasi may kasama kami na 2K lang ang sahod nya pero naka-E Pass sya kasi La Salle graduate sya at dahil yung course nya ay bihira pa lang dito sa Singapore.

yung isang kasama naming pinoy nung una nareject yung renewal ng E-Pass nya kasi di na comply sa minimum ng E-Pass ang salary nya last year kasi pasok pa sa E-Pass category ang sahod nya. luckily nung i-apply sya ng company namin for S-Pass na-approve naman  :)

Hello and Good evening mga sisses, I want to ask questions about this SG thingy na to:

Yung dad ko kasi he been there matagal na (Pinadala lang siya dun ng boss niya hahaha!) mga mid 90's siguro lol! He told me na medyo in demand ang SG nun panahon nila.

Yung kuya ko kasi he's a licensed Electrical Eng'g and he resigned his job last week. So ayun he needs a 2 years experienced here muna, Kasi ang goal niya is makapunta siya ng SG maybe next year or someday. Kasi yung kuya ko he wants to work there. Pero i told him naman na mag pray siya at matutupad ang gusto niya. I know madaming proceso pag pupunta ka ng SG for work right? :)

Thanks again sisses, :P

hi sis, im also a licensed electrical engineer, unfortunately walang Reciprocity Agreement between Singapore and Philippines kaya walang bisa ang PRC License dito sa SG. his salary offer will depend on his years of work experience based sa observation ko sa construction industry dito  :)

Singapore dream nalang ito para sakin. Unless kung mayaman ako at pwede ako mag resign sa current work ko para pumunta sa sg for tour and hanap ng work. Malaysia ang medyo maluwag ngayon mga sis

patience and prayers sis dati dream lang din for me, actually since college dream ko na talaga kasi andito na kuya ko nuon. it took me years bago ako nakakuha ng job na related talaga sa course ko when i had the chance grab ko na agad kahit sobrang baba ng sahod kasi naka-set na sa utak ko kailangan ko yung experience for my SG dream. if you are hesitant na mag-apply directly dito sa SG why not go through an agency dyan sa atin kasi kung tutuusin minsan pareho lang yung nagagastos nung mga nagda-direct mag-apply dito at yung mga dumadaan ng agency pwera na lang kung swerte talaga na makakuha agad ng trabaho. ako dumaan sa agency dyan sa atin ok naman sila kasi saka lang kami nagbitaw ng pera nung na-approve na ang pass namin, sila na din nag-asikaso ng papers namin, plane ticket etc. yung kalahati ng placement namin 3 months naming binayaran. mahirap talaga nung unang six months namin nagtitipid pero nakapagpadala pa din naman kami sa family namin. ang hindi lang ok is kelangan mo talagang tapusin ang contract mo or else magbabayad ka kung magreresign ka. buti na lang sa amin one year lang contract namin ngayon ni-convert na nila as permanent staff ang employment status namin pero subject to MOM's visa approval pa din awa ng Dyos approve naman yung renewal namin. wag din mag-expect ng OT dito kasi karamihan sa mga company dito hindi nagbibigay ng OT minsan nagtatrabaho kami until 9PM minsan papasok pa din ng sabado pero nagbibigay naman sila ng food allowance at pwede ma-claim ang taxi fare. patayan ang trabaho pero lahat naman ata pag foreigner ka patayan talaga sa work tatambakan ka talaga hanggat kita nila na kaya mo pero syempre dahil Pinoy mahaba ang pasensya gaya ng ng sabi nila mas ok ng may trabaho kesa wala at pag stressed na isipin mo na lang ang katapusan ng buwan, chinese new year at mid year bonus  ;D

Hi mga sis! plano namin before ng fiance ko magpunta sa SG para maghanap ng work... baka nga naman swertehin....kaso napromote siya and nanghihinayang siya if hindi niya i-try yung inooffer sa kanya. In short. I've never been to SG and alam ko sobrang taas ng cost of living...Ask ko lang mga sis kung may mga jobs ba like Make-up artist diyan? yun kasi ang gusto kong applyan eh.

Just to share mga sis,

Accounting firm yung company (nakakaloka).

I think malaki ang chance mo. Based yan sa mga set of friends ko at mga experience ng friends nila na nahandito. Given na meron kang kabog na experience.

The greatest tragedy is not DEATH, but a LIFE without purpose.

^ako din i applied thru jobsdb, jobstreet, job monster, jobs central. meron din ako jobs alert from indeed, recruit.net, st107.

actually last january may nagcontact sakin for an interview pero dito pa ako sa pinas. so turn down ko muna kasi di rin pwede video call/skype interview tapos tumawag ulit sila ng feb. i went to sg just for that interview pero unfortunately i didn't get the job. sa jobsdb rin lang ako nag apply. im going to sg this june to try to land a job. actually kinakabahan na din ako kasi start ng july 1 20% na lang ang quota for s pass sa isang company. but still, if i don't try i'll never know. andun din si bf kaya okay din kasi may support from him.

did they call you using a local sim?

or bumili ka ng sim sa sg?

Mga sis, and E-pass or S-pass ba, depends sa age din? May officemate kasi ako sabi yung pinsan nya kaya e-pass kasi 27 years old sya para ma qualify as s-pass. Tama ba?
