Saka daig mo pa nasa isang community or organization na puro chismisan which is we all know na hindi healthy na maging working environment. Dont go to DYNA DRUG CORPORATION girls.

Notnecessarily, sis. If the interviewer asks in English, answer in English. If not, by all means, puwede mag-Tagalog. And in he real world naman kapag nasa field ka na, taglish na when you talk to the doctors. :)

Hi girls! Im not a medrep pero may boyfriend is. Im just worried. Weve been together for 6 years and this is the first time ng magkakahiwalay kami. during trainings bigira kami mgkausap, lagi sya busy. No text the whole day. Pag sa gabi, pagod na sya he cant talk. Im a medstudent. So at some point, di ko rin maintindihan at di ako mkarelate. Supportive [textspeak!] ako mula nung application hanggang end of training. Not to mention na mejo takot din ako dahil baka magkaroon ng affairs or what.  Any tips and insights? Help! :)

^hindi sa dinidiscourage kita diba? But I can feel you my ex is a med rep we've been together for 4 years and sobrang daming nagbago nung naging ahente sya. true yang super busy na wala na syang masyadong time talaga. well it depends pa din naman

Do you guys consider being a med rep/sales rep a stable job? I mean maganda bang career path to? I am an accountant but I want to try field work because I sometimes I find my job boring as hell!

Personally, I dont find this industry stable.   Unless you can handle extreme stress and pressure on the sales plus the lack of work/life balance.

With the merging of companies, parang walang security of tenure din.

I think this is the best industry as a start at 20's because it will help develop interpersonal skills, IQ and EQ.  Then after that move na to more opportunities.

Daily activity comprises mostly of visiting doctors to make chika and to promote products, and in your bf's case, booking orders(bec hie's with vaccines). Depends on the area, pwedeng madaming travel time, from one clinic/hosp, to another. There's also the long waiting time, so you get to chat with other reps and/or docs' secretaries. There are times you have to service doctors, dine them out, join them with their
hobbies.

I think it's being in the right company at the right time, going for the ones na may line up ng bagong products :)

Other companies would send email "thank you but..." theme.

While others, if walang communication meaning di successful.

If may natanggap na kasabay mo, baka nakapili na sila.  Before, gsk didnt communicate if sa mga di nila napili.

bilib talaga ko sa mga matagal nang medrep - mahirap tong work na to
:p nag try ako sa Nestle, medyo iba pa nature dun, hawak ko kasi infant formula, by law bawal incentive for sales sa ganon (to promote breastfeeding ganon)
ang liit lang ng sweldo, at napatapon ako sa Ormoc, Leyte - I was 20 and I didn't even know that place :p pero dahil nga may car and allowance and stuff, kahit ang liit ng pay, nakaipon ako ng onti, isang reason pa e kasi super province so walang mapagkagastusan.

I have a friend sa local pharmaceutical sya work, she keeps telling toxic daw talaga, sometimes even your weekend is taken away from you kasi you have to do servicing for your contacts/doctors (a.k.a. ipagdrive) pero she's been w/ that company for 5 years I think. Nakakaipon din sya, even nakapag paayos ng house kasi pag quota, may pera talaga, and mahilig ata mamigay ng pera dun pag may mga event.

^@risktaker: go for it. Yes training in GSK would require you the usual requirements in pre employment.
and hardworking papasa naman :) Go for it. kapag pumasa ka sa training nila, you'll be proud.

Aral mabuti and be humble. :)
