1. I have I'm guessing about 500 books give or take. Mostly classics/ tech books/ Health and the majority contemporary lit.

2. I put them all in my room now but I'm trying to convert my other room into a library/ den and put bookshelves up

I have less than a hundred lang. Those that i havent read in a while are in balikbayan boxes cus there's no space to put a bookshelf in our room. All my magazines (Cosmo, Preview, Seventeen) that i have collected since HS were either given away or stashed in our guestroom and all around the living room.
Whatever I want, I get. If I can't, I don't stop TRYING.

i have shelves upon shelves of books. i think majority of my room is comprised of books, DVDs, and makeup. lol.

my conservative estimate is about 600 books, in my room alone. not counting yung mga hindi na nasoli sa akin.

but i have around 5-6 gig's worth of ebooks now.

my book collection is:

60% romance - which i like to call "research" lol! as i fancy myself as a romance writer sometimes... (even took the writing workshop of a large publishing house in QC)
10% chic lit
5% tagalog romance, (again, research)
5% pop culture (popular in this generation cuelho, meyer, rowling, sparks, esquivel, grisham, sheldon etc)
5% self help books.
15% a little of everything else, from every fiction genre to non-fiction ones. law books included, tho i count them as fiction! lol :D

I love my Delicious Library application. I was able to catalog my book collection. So far I have 594. I still have a lot to catalog kasi tamad pa ko maghanap ng album art sa ibang books and yung iba, doble yung bili ko so di matanggap ng app na 2 siya :P

I only have 1 book na di nasauli at di ko na rin mahanap sa book stores. Sad.

The top of my bookshelf consists of HB books. Yung malalaki talaga, not the TP size na HB.

Sa first shelf naman, I have all my YA books.

Halo halo from fiction to chick lits.

Sa last shelf, lahat ng PB ko.

I actually realized, I don't own a horror book aside from Bram Stoker's Dracula haha! and I don't own a Stephen King novel.

Inspirational books (Paulo Coelho, Mitch Albom, Nicholas Sparks, Randy Pausch, etc.) pero karamihan english romance pocketbooks (Anne Mallory, Nan Ryan, Lorraine Heath, Connie Mason, Lisa Kleypas, Julia Quinn, Johanna Lindsey, Sandra Brown, Teresa Medeiros, etc.)

Lately, mga vampire books naman (Stephenie Meyer, Kerrelyn Sparks, Christine Feehan, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Charlaine Harris, etc.)

i don't know how many books i have in my shelf, pag uwi ko bilangin ko  ;D. i read according to interests, so iba ibang klase sya. mostly memoirs and autobiographies. self help, health and fitness, fictions, classics, etc. mas marami ang paperback kesa sa hardbound and 70 percent are covered with plastics.  for now, hindi muna ako masyado bumibili ng books dahil wala ng enough space for them. lahat sila nasa room ko lang, bawal ilabas kasi ayoko kung sino sino ang humiram. mahirap kasi pag hindi na naisoli. ;D

I have lots of books.  The first ever I collected was the Sweet Valley Twins and High, Archie comics and Nancy Drew or Hardy Boys.  They are in our family house sa province.

Medyo nahinto ako sa pagbili ng mga books, pero my sister 'inherited' it from me.

Ngayon, book collections ko are e-books and I will buy an external hard disk to recreate my 'e-book library'.

I used to have a lot of books. I don't know exactly how many there had been, but the shelves spanned a whole wall (floor to ceiling) in my room at my parents' house. It's a big room. Some books occupied shelves in hallways, a lot more stored in cardboard boxes in storage. Marami nang naipamigay, pero mahilig at mabilis akong magbasa since I was little, kaya ayun, naipon.

I said used to, coz most of them naging biktima ni ondoy. There were probably only about 500 good ones left after the cleanup. Mas madalang na akong bumili ngayon usually nonfiction and a few classics I love to reread.

Siguro more or less 500 books. I never gave away my Sweet Valley Collection which is more than 200++ books na :P Ewan ko may attachment pa rin ako sa Sweet Valley books ko kasi part of my growing up years ko sila. :D

Some Books I Collect are from Authors:

1. Paulo Coelho
2. Sophie Kinsella
3. Stephenie Meyer
4. Meg Cabot
5. Michael Crichton
6. Erich Segal
7. Danielle Steele
8. Stephen King
9. Nicholas Sparks
10. Anne Perry
11. Phillippa Gregory
12. Dan Brown

I also have IT, management, chic-lits from contemporary authors, classic novels and self help books. Basta pag nasa bookstore ako, any kind of books that interest me binibili ko usually.

My books collection shelves covers almost half of my room. Usually yung mga guests namin na relatives din namin can't help but comment na parang natutulog sila sa library dahil nakakalat sa buong kwarto yung mga books. Even yung mga barkada ng sister ko na nag sleep over sa bahay yun din ang observation. Few years ago I also bought two shelves pero puno na naman sila kaya yung ibang books nakalagay nalang sa bedside table sa room

The ones in my room now, ones I've read and ones I've yet to finish reading, about 50? My own collection is 95% fiction. No self-help though. ;)

I have lots of books but often after reading them, I lend the books or sell them.

The books that I keep with me are usually hardbound books.

My most prized books are my Cooking related books, since some are not available in Pinas and pinapasuyo ko pa sa mga friends abroad to get them. I love these books.

Yung mga novels usually I sell them or lend/give them away.:-)
