Does it differ if you're using vista then installed the upgrade software from vista to win7? or just buy a separate win7 installer then format the pc instead? thanks
his sis! it doesnt really differ if you have preinstalled win vista on your computer and do an upgrade vs having a complete clean install on you computer. both installations have pros and cons though. you might want to read more regarding facts of win 7 and its upgrade at microsoft.com
just make sure to make a back up of your files to a flash drive or to an external hard drive so that if there are lost files along the transition, then you will be sure you still have your data handy.
if you will opt for upgrade though, you have to run through the upgrade advisor so that it can check the software that is compatible with win 7. as for the hardware though, you can check compatibility with this site:
