@meimei, masikip kasi sa cebu pacific, maliit lang ako na tao pero nasisikipan talaga ako sa seats nila.  mahilig din sila mag over book ng flights, nakakatakot at baka biglang mawalan kami ng seats. at ilang beses na ako naka encounter ng mga rude flight attendants sa international flights nila. kaya as much as possible naghahanap kami ng ibang airline na affordable yung fare, yung kahit medyo mas mahal sa cebu pacific pwede na. last option na namin ang cebu pacific. :)

salamat. tinignan ko yung jetstar kung ilang hours yung flight with the stop over. mukang pwede rin yung option na mag overnight kami sa singapore before we go to indonesia, tapos ganun din pag balik namin ng manila. 200 to 300 dollars cheaper yung tickets namin sa jet star sa pal based sa mock booking kanina. pero yung matitipid namin mukang mapupunta sa pag ikot ng konti sa singapore if ever pumayag yung family ko na may singapore stop over. pwede na siguro yun at least 2 countries yung naikot namin as a family.

^My friends and I have bought oil paintings and wood carvings in Ubud during our trip in the early '90s. We didn't encounter any problems with their local customs. While a friend who had been there recently and bought 100K worth of carvings didn't have problems either.

i'm not so sure about the weather in September.. we went there kasi late October. maganda ang weather most of the time we were there, maaraw nung nag-beach kami. meron lang one day na super maulan nung umaga, pero umaraw na most of the day. which was great kasi we were able to watch the sunset in Jimbaran. :)

^sis, di ako nag-ikot sa Jakarta eh.. i wasn't interested kasi feeling ko parang pinas lang (IMO) and not worth the terrible traffic in Jakarta. i opted to just enjoy the hotel i got near the airport (FM7 Resort Hotel) kasi flight ko to Bali the following day.

yung ibang Philippine delegates na kasabayan ko (i was there for a conference in Bali kasi), naglibot sila sa Jakarta pero nothing special daw. siguro kanya-kanyang trip lang yan.

nature buff kasi ako. :) kaya Bali talaga ang habol ko, not Jakarta. maybe some of our sisses here na city buffs could help you build a Jakarta itinerary. pero kung gusto mo dumaan sa Bali, you can check my itinerary on page 9 of this thread. :)

My hubby and I just booked our flights to Jakarta and Bali in December. Oh, well, We are touring Asia kasi then hopefully next year, Europe na. :)

We initially planned to stay in Hardrock Hotel but mas maganda yata sa villa by the beach with private pool na in Bali. Any recommendations , mga sis?

hi sis! regarding the beaches, yeah mas maganda ang beaches sa pinas. though in my opinion kasi, it's not so much the beaches as the scenic landscapes that are for appreciation in Bali. ako kasi, i super appreciate scenic landscapes kaya solved na ko dun, hehe. :) like for example, yung cliff sa Ulu Watu, super amazed ako - i just loved breathing in the beauty of God's creation and watching the waves break into the rocks at the bottom of the cliff. :) nagandahan din ako sa Tanah Lot. nanghihinayang ako di ako nakarating sa Ubud and in some other areas of Bali - medyo malaki rin kasi.

next week na alis namin. 5 days kami dun.

most of time we will be in jakarta. may mag papasyal na sa amin sa jakarta. then may 1 day kami na kami lang ang iikot, so i guess sa malls kami pupunta to shop.

tapos me chowking pa kaya kain ako halo-halo.  namiss namin ni hubby chowking kasi nong umuwi kami Pinas last April di kami nakakain don e, hehe..

all in all, pupunta lang kami ulit don kung gusto namin mag-shopping.

^ anong outlet stores yung napuntahan nyo?
