I tagged along in one of my husband's flights to CGK. We stayed at the Shangri-la JKT. A few days before leaving, I was searching online for things to see, places to go to...grabe sa konti ha. Security wise pa, di namin masyado feel. Upon arriving at Soekarno-Hatta, feeling ko domestic airport yung arrival area..pero maganda naman architecture nila. Parang ang dami lang tambay sa labas kaya nakakakaba. When we rode the bus (with all the other flight crew), ok na sights to see sa city..kaso it was election season then (March last yr) so ma-traffic MORE than usual because of rallies. When we got to Shangri-la, strange din ha kasi for a 5-star hotel, naka-chain n lock pa yung door sa lower ground lobby. They just opened it for us. Tsaka may bomb sniffing dogs and all. Well, I guess kasi nga given the history of the country diba. Ok yung hotel plus ALL THE FOOD. That was the best part of my stay. Hehe. The following day, hubby and I visited the National Museum, Plaza Indonesia (oo nga, puro high end) and Monas (na parang QC circle dito sa tin). That was it. Our flight crew companions visited markets to buy stuff but naabutan pa sila ng malakas na ulan. I particularly didn't like too much the smell of a lot of people (sorry, I'm not prejudiced, baka unlucky lang)especially at the museum. That would probably be my first and last time to visit Jakarta.
