minsan kasi gusto ko sabihin sa mga foreigner friends ko na di ako mahilig sa seafood kasi ayoko yung malansa na taste. pero di ko ma-express kasi hindi ko alam sa english ang malansa (taste).  :( hindi lang naman kasi isda ang malansa.  so paano ko sasabihin in english na "nalalansahan" ako sa squid kung ang term na gagamitin ko ay "fishy? e hindi naman fish ang squid. hindi sila makaka-relate!
lalo na't palagi nila ako inaalok ng squid during social gatherings and i don't want to be rude to say no without an explanation. iisipin nila, hindi ako marunong makisama becoz i reject their offer to eat squid with them.

ang alam ko yung toothpaste eh wala talagang tagalog term, kasi kasali siya dun sa group of words called "hiram na salita" na english term lang talaga, no tagalog counterpart. , yun ang pagkakaalala ko from filipino class during my 1st year in college. :P
