you can also use or make a ricotta filling for the lasagna aside from bechamel sauce.

my tita uses this recipe.. :)

* Meat Sauce
ground beef
red and green bell pepper
tomato sauce & tomato paste
salt & pepper
olive oil
garlic, onions
leftover ham, hotdogs, bacon
basil leaves

Saute beef in olive oil, onions and garlic, put everything in together & cook well.

* Bechamel Sauce
1/3 stick butter
1/3 flour
cream (half a carton)
milk (1 can evap)

Cook butter in low heat. Take out pan and dissolve flour in butter to even out the lumps. Once completely dissolved, cook flour by adding 1 can milk and mixing without let up in medium heat until it thickens. Once mixture has thickened, add some cream and the sauce is done.

Preheat oven to 350F. Spread 1 cup of the sauce mixture onto bottom of 12x8-inch baking dish. Top with layers of lasagna noodles, remaining sauce mixture and bechamel sauce. Repeat all layers; sprinkle with shredded cheese. Cover tightly with foil & bake for 1 hour. Let stand 5 to 10 min. before cutting to serve.

(You can also use the tomato sauce and bechamel sauce mixture for baked mac. Instead of using lasagna noodles, you can just use macaroni.) :D

Sis thank you ng madami sa recipe na ito. . .
2nd time ko magluto ng lasagna and yan ang ginamit kong recipe, gustong gusto nila..sabi pa ng sis ko para daw mas masarap pa sa lasagna ng greenwich. Nagdagdag lang ako ng fiesta italian blend spag. sauce and nutmeg sa meat sauce nya tapos nilagyan ko ng cheese and nutmeg yung bechamel sauce.

^ good luck sis, wish ko ako mismo matuto magluto nyan! Haha.. :P

sharing these 2 other recipes i saw naman sa Pinterest... parang madali & konti lang ingredients :)

Crock-Pot Lasagna

Ingredients:
1 lb. ground beef
29 oz can tomato sauce
8 oz pkg. lasagna noodles, uncooked
4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 1/2 cups cottage cheese

Directions:
1. Spray the inside of the crock-pot with cooking spray
2. Brown the ground beef
3. Stir the tomato sauce in with the ground beef
4. Spread 1/4 of the meat sauce on the bottom of the crock-pot
5. Arrange 1/3 of the uncooked noodles over the sauce (I usually break them up so they fit better)
6. Combine the cheeses in a bowl. Spoon 1/3 of the cheeses over the noodles.
7. Repeat these layers twice
8. Top with remaining sauce
9. Cover and cook on low for 4hrs (I've started the crock-pot on high in the morning before I leave for work and then put it on warm when I leave and it's perfect when I get home)
10. Let the lasagna stand in the crock-pot with the lid off for at least 10 minutes

* Variations *
1. Add chopped onion and garlic to the ground beef in step 2
2. Use Italian sausage in place of ground beef or with ground beef
3. Add 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese to the cheese mixture. Replace cottage cheese with Ricotta.
4. Add 1/2 cup additional shredded mozzarella cheese to the top of lasagna 5 minutes before serving.

Chicken & Cheese Lasagna Roll-ups

3 cups chopped cooked chicken
1/4 cup milk
1 cup Ricotta cheese
1/8 teaspoon white pepper
1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
8 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 cups Prego Spaghetti Sauce

1. In medium bowl, combine chicken, cheeses, milk, and pepper
2. Spread 1/2 cup mixture on each lasagna noodle; roll jelly-roll fashion
3. In a 13 by 9-inch baking dish, spread 1 cup spaghetti sauce
4. Arrange lasagna rolls, seam-side down in sauce in baking dish
5. Top with remaining spaghetti sauce
6. Cover
7. Bake at 375 degrees F for 30 minutes or until hot
8. Serve, if desired, with additional Parmesan cheese.

First time ko nagluto ng lasagna last night and I'm so happy sa result... Nagustuhan ni hubbby and eldest son ko na napakapihikan sa food. Mamaya ko pa malalaman kung nagustuhan ng youngest ko, tulog na kasi kagabi nung natapos akong mag bake.

I got the recipe here in GT (nalimutan ko username nya) but really, thank you, sis for the recipe!  ;)
http://mommyisnowcooking.blogspot.com/2010/08/cheesy-and-meaty-lasagna.html

Notes:
