^Sis, there is nothing wrong with the car, below it is stated that accept trade-in/financing 1-3 years to pay 30-50% d/p 24hrs approval. Basically it's like a downpayment.

Sometimes ginagawa talaga nila to mislead the buyer, so really dapat mag ingat at talagang attention sa details para sure.

Try mo sa mga banks, like PS Bank. They usually have a page on 2nd hand cars. Since your office is offering car loans, baka may officemate ka na gustong mag upgrade. At least madali mong malalaman history nung auto. Baka bigyan ka pa magandang discount

^ How do you plan to look for one? Through used car dealers or classified ads?

Well, if you're going to buy a second-hand car and do the transfer of ownership to your name, you're going to need the original OR/CR and photocopies of the owner's ID cards. Obviously, those should serve as proof of ownership and identification of the seller.

When you set an appointment for the inspection, dapat dala na ng seller yung original OR/CR to prove na siya yung may-ari talaga ng car.

The seller should also provide a signed deed of sale.

1st choice namin sa classified ads kasi mas mura, pero nakakatakot kasi baka manloloko lang pala. pero tumitingin-tingin din kami sa car dealers para mas safe, wala naman sigurong manloloko sa car dealers. magdadala rin kami ng mechanic.

^ Well, disadvantage mo lang sa car dealers ay medyo mahal, compared to direct sellers. Car dealers too may look to hide faults, not just sellers. My mom and I recently bought two used cars from classified ads lang, and of course, you have to be a good judge of character when you meet for the inspection. We were fortunate that the sellers we met were reputable and honest, and they lived in exclusive villages.

Be careful of those scams na hihingi na ng payment over PayPal to have the car "delivered", always insist on a personal inspection, and you can bring a mechanic so you can have peace of mind. We also got to communicate with a few of those, but we knew kaagad na scam sila.

Haven't gone back to this thread pala.

I was able to get a very good deal Nung Nov 2009. Inauction kasi ng company namin yung dating car ng president namin -- 2002 Accord na A/T -- tapos nanalo sa bidding yung friend ko. So, pinilit ko syang ibenta saken yung old car nya -- 1993 Corolla GLi. Presyong kaibigan pa heheh.

I settled for it kasi:

1. Alam kong alaga yung car. It was used by his wife in Bataan panghatid sundo lang sa mga kids.

2. At saka halos each family member owns a car.

3. Mukha syang mas bago kesa sa cars ng friends ko na mga 1997 model. As in soooobrang mas bago sya, hindi lang looks but the feel too.

Nung nabili ko yun may kalampag at aminado naman yung friend ko. Ako na lang nagpagawa since I got it at a bargain. Ngayon it's been almost a year and half at ok naman sya.

I was really lucky lang at napilit ko syang ibenta saken. Good luck sa mga naghahanap!

^ Probably because of the perception that Vios cars are used as taxis, while Honda never allows their cars to be used as taxis. Whatever. I bought a second-hand Vios, because Toyota parts are cheaper than Honda parts.

Honda cars also have a higher resale value because of that perception, so a second-hand Toyota will be cheaper. Depends on what you're after, status symbol or budget.

Advantage nga lang sa Jazz, it's a lot roomier than a Vios.

there is no such thing as a "perfect used car" and even though you bring a seasoned mechanic with you, you can't really tell at one inspection the problems that a car has. when you buy a used car dapat mag set aside ka na ng budget para sa mga repair. hindi lang dapat ang cost ng car ang iisipin mo.

Sis, you may search in Sulit or Ayos website, ok naman ang mga sellers dun, but be very observant of the username at the way they post their descriptions.

Hubby got me a Mitsubishi Lancer 94 model na matic yesterday. Nahihirapan na kase ko mag-commute after he sold my nissan sentra

The car is super nice and I tried driving it na yesterday. Ok lang kahit lower model kase may car din naman si hubby. Hayy super happy ako
